The main appeal of a bootcamp for me was having a structured learning journey, something I knew I would struggle with if I were self-teaching. And that’s exactly what I received. The curriculum was thoughtfully designed for beginners, starting with the basics of JavaScript and gradually building on each concept. This step-by-step approach made it easy to follow and understand, even without prior coding experience. The tutors at Boolean (I had Ezekiel and Carlo) are highly knowledgeable and always ready to help. The support provided throughout the course is amazing, any time I had a question or needed assistance, a quick direct message was all it took to get the help I needed. I also highly recommend taking advantage of the opportunity to go above and beyond the standard course. Most exercises have extension tasks designed to deepen and extend your skills, which I found incredibly valuable. By the end of the course, I felt confident in my ability to build full-stack applications, utilising both frontend and backend skills.
After completing the initial 6 months, you also receive 6 months of career support. This part of the course far exceeded my expectations. Ivana and Giorgio (my career coaches) provided fantastic support with tailoring my CV, updating my LinkedIn profile, and refining my portfolio. They also led weekly career workshops and 1:1 interview prep sessions to help me prepare for the interview process. In addition, Luca provided valuable tech interview prep and coding practice, which was incredibly helpful in building my confidence for technical interviews. Overall, this was a fantastic opportunity, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to switch to tech or develop their skills. I’ve always found all these subjects too dry and pestering. By chance, I received a DataCamp scholarship and decided to give data science a go. I started to learn R from DataCamp with zero previous knowledge about coding or programming. I was amazed and fascinated by the way DataCamp is able to simply it to the level of an absolute beginner and then provide a learning curve which I was able to grasp. The courses were fun and extremely well balanced. Every day I learnt something new and practiced it the next day with their practice sessions which are included in the subscription. This reinforced my knowledge and accelerated my learning speed. Before I knew it, I was reading code like I was reading a language like english or spanish. I was surprised by myself when I realised I had actually starting getting a hang of it. Kind of got addicted to learning more and more and now I’m fully hooked. Their career track on Data Analyst in R helped me tremendously in accelerating my medical research career and now i’m fully on track to become a certified data analyst.

I already had experience in web development and programming, but I wanted stronger skills in Machine Learning, NLP, and deployment.What I liked most about the program was that it focused heavily on hands-on work instead of only theory. We worked on practical tasks, evaluations, and projects throughout the program, which helped me understand how to apply concepts in real scenarios. The NLP and ML in Production modules were probably my favorite because they introduced tools and workflows that are actually used in industry.One thing that surprised me was how much deployment and infrastructure matter in AI projects. Before the program, I mostly focused on model building, but during the training I learned more about Docker, APIs, vector databases, and deploying applications to cloud platforms. That changed the way I think about AI systems because I started seeing them as complete products, not just notebooks or experiments.For our capstone project, my teammates and I built EduPath AI, an AI-powered platform that helps Lebanese University students discover suitable majors and career paths. We used a Random Forest model for recommendations and built a RAG based chatbot using Weaviate and LLM tools. Seeing the project go from an idea to a deployed application was honestly one of the most rewarding parts of the experience.The mentorship and community also made a big difference. The mentors were supportive and always encouraged us to solve problems ourselves while still guiding us when needed. The career fair and networking opportunities also gave us exposure to industry expectations and helped connect technical learning with real career paths.Overall, the program helped me improve both technically and professionally. I feel much more confident working on AI projects now, especially in NLP, ML deployment, and building scalable applications. I’m planning to continue developing AI-powered systems and applying what I learned to real world software solutions and future projects.

I found TTS through a local networking event where a regional representative told me about the bootcamps offered, and I decided to enroll in the Full Stack Web Development course. I had the absolute best time in this course! I learned so much about front-end and back-end development including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as well as specialized frameworks to create beautiful web pages and interactive applications. The back-end education and concepts we went over during our object-oriented programming in Java section were also incredibly valuable to me since I do not have a computer science degree. Overall, I would definitely recommend TTS to others who want to change careers or supplement their knowledge because the comprehensive nature of the bootcamp really allowed me to feel confident saying that I am now a full stack developer. Also the TTS community is extremely friendly, and they have been wonderful on a personal level.

I started with basic knowledge of HTML and CSS and learned a lot about web development and feel definitely job-ready.
Things which can be improved:
Since it is a very personal experience and it very much depends on everyone's self, I still think that the BootCamp can be a bit more intense. Sometimes there was a bit too much free time between the classes. This time could have been used to dive into details or to teach additional technologies.
But nonetheless, I would definitely come for another BootCamp to Spiced as every Teacher is such a cool person!

I really enjoyed my time at iO Academy. I chose this bootcamp mostly because it seemed to me that they proposed the most complete curriculum and they did not diI really enjoyed my time at iO Academy. I chose this bootcamp mostly because it seemed to me that they proposed the most complete curriculum and they did not disappoint! It was a very intense learning experience, but it is delivered in the best conditions:- small cohorts (up to 8 students) so it is always possible to ask questions and interact with the trainers
- amazing trainers, always available and supportive
- carefully crafted curriculum, it really felt like they refined it year after year to find the best way and timing to go through the curriculum, so I never felt overwhelmed
I also want to point out that they put a really big emphasis on how to work as a software engineer (e.g. working in an Agile team) and not just how to code. I found this extremely valuable (maybe more than the coding?) as it is a huge part of the job and I arrived in my 1st software engineer position really well prepared and knowing what to expect. On the coding side, they were dedicated to teaching us best coding practices. I am currently working in my 1st position as a software developer and so far my line manager has been pleasantly surprised by how much I've learned at iO Academy!
It took me a 4/5 months to land a job but the job market is a bit tough at the moment. I got some valuable advice from their career consultant which helped me land my current position. I would not necessarily expect to just walk into a job straight after the bootcamp (some of the students of my cohort did though!). iO Academy was definitely worth the time and the investment, and I would totally do it again!
