Not only does Avocademy do a wonderful job in their foundations course to prepare your skills for real world design projects, but the access and support for mentors is one of the most valuable resources I've ever had. They have a variety of mentors available for all areas of your foundational and career development needs. From general reinforcement and positivity, to real world experience, to career guidance in your job hunt, they will guide you for any decisions you have to make. I would not be where I'm at in my professional development without them and this has been undoubtedly one of the best decisions I've ever made!

“Career-Changing UX Experience”

Attending BrainStation’s UX Design Bootcamp was one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve made. Coming from a non-design background, I was initially intimidated, but the curriculum was incredibly well-structured and beginner-friendly. The instructors were industry professionals who brought real-world knowledge into every lesson. They didn’t just teach tools like Figma — they emphasized design thinking, user research, prototyping, and usability testing in a hands-on, practical way. We worked on real projects, participated in critiques, and even had exposure to real clients during a hackthon for Revolut bank. One of the highlights was the collaborative environment. My classmates came from diverse backgrounds — marketing, business, tech — and the peer learning was just as valuable as the formal instruction. The career support was also excellent. From portfolio reviews to mock interviews and job search strategies, BrainStation genuinely cares about helping to land a job in UX.

“Great place to learn and boost your UX skills.”

A short but substantial virtual learning space, ideal for boosting your career or train yourself in whole new workfield. Enjoy trained and very fun teachers who answer your questions promptly. The only downside I can think of is the grading system, which I found somehow confusing along with the scoring system for the deliveries, which I think is not very clear. Even when you felt like you were delivering something with sufficient accuracy and complexity, it seemed like something more was being asked for, and this can be frustrating especially for younger students.

“Foundational”

DesignLab UX Academy was an excellent foundational course. It tackled fundamental UX design principles, Figma basics, wireframing, and completing a simple project with a brief. The course was worth it for the 1:1 mentorship alone, but the curriculum was easy to comprehend and follow.

“Unique experience with Ironhack Lisbon's on-site bootcamp”

I don't even know where to start describing the experience of the last 9 weeks in the IN-PERSONtial UX/UI design bootcamp at Ironhack Lisbon. The quality of the training program is unbeatable. The professionals who make up the teaching staff are of the highest level, both as teachers and as human beings. The kindness and closeness, as well as the positivism in the low moments of such an intense experience, have made that, time after, I still feel moved when I remember them. Moreover, the on-site experience of the course has been crucial for me. I could not imagine it in any other format. The quality of the transmission of the contents, as well as the coexistence with the teaching team and the rest of my classmates, both in my course and those of WebDev and Data Analysis, would not have been of such a high level and would not have exceeded my expectations if it had not been in a face-to-face format. I highly recommend this formula. It feels like a summer camp and you feel it when you leave, but in this case you don't just take friends for life, you change your professional life forever. I miss you all!

“Máster en UxUi Design”

¡Excelente máster! un viaje de aprendizaje a través del Ux bajándolo a un prototipo funcional con mucho Ui. De los cursos que busqué para especializarme este fue el que más me convenció y no defraudó. Una vez terminado el curso pude mejorar mi puesto de trabajo casi de inmediato ya que el hecho de haber tomado un máster me especializaba en lo que ya tenía experiencia y fue bien visto por los reclutadores.

“Decent Bootcamp”

Pros: I’m overall satisfied with my experience in Springboard’s UI/UX bootcamp. The course materials were comprehensive, and I learned a lot from both the content and the guidance of my mentors and career coaches. Their feedback on assignments and mock interviews was especially valuable in helping me improve. The capstone projects and Industry Design Project (IDP) provided great hands-on experience, giving me the opportunity to dive deeper into real-world UI/UX challenges and build practical skills. Cons: The course materials were mostly curated from existing online sources like articles and YouTube videos. While Springboard organizes them so you don’t have to figure out what to read or watch, much of it felt like walls of text, which made getting through them tedious. Some resources also felt outdated—up to five years old—so I wish Springboard would update the content more frequently or develop more original material of their own. Since most of the content is free online, it feels like the bulk of your tuition really goes toward having a mentor. My mentor did provide assignment feedback and answered questions, but the interaction was limited to that. One negative experience I had was that during two consecutive calls, my mentor was on her phone while I was asking questions, which forced me to repeat myself.

The bootcamp’s content and organization, the quality of the speakers, and the continuous support from the mentors made this an incredibly enriching experience. Working on three concrete projects was a real advantage. The program gave us with a large set of hard and soft skills, giving us the confidence needed to enter the market. I now feel ready to start my career as a Product Designer. If you’re considering a career change and want to become a product designer, look no further—this is the place to be!

“Every word of the lecturer is a treasure”

An exciting adventure into the world of UX! The first thing I enjoyed was the structure of the training and what the design process consists of! These guys definitely know their stuff! Secondly, a bunch of examples: from usability test scenarios, and key points of communication with stakeholders to how to make friends with AI Thirdly, valuable feedback on webinars and the opportunity to work in a team, creating an Affinity Map In fact, I could talk about it nonstop for half a year while this training lasted! I advise everyone who wants to pursue UX design. It is multi-layered, but with the UX Design Institute, it is exciting!

“Helpful bootcamp in many ways”

Since joining my first bootcamp, I was genuinely curious about what to expect. Looking back, the 14-week journey as a Product Designer has been an overwhelmingly positive experience. The program was exceptionally well-structured from start to finish. Tasks were clearly defined, and our instructor explained even complex topics in a detailed yet accessible way. Whenever questions came up, additional support was always available. I especially appreciated how challenging subjects were summarized in a way that made them understandable for everyone. My peers were equally dedicated and ambitious. Working together on multiple projects not only strengthened our collaboration skills but also allowed us to build meaningful connections. The intensity of learning so much in such a short time was challenging, but it pushed me to grow quickly. Today, I feel well-prepared and confident to step into the role of a Product Designer. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be more comprehensive career support. The job assistance portion felt comparatively rushed with only one day each dedicated to CVs, portfolios, and LinkedIn. From my perspective, this phase also started a bit too early in the program. A deeper and more extended focus on career preparation would make an already strong program even stronger.

The UX/UI Bootcamp gave me the skills and confidence to pivot my career into design. It’s a challenging and practical program where you create a personal project to kick-start your portfolio. The live sessions are engaging and supportive, with mentors who really focus on each student’s design process and individual challenges. The career development sessions were a big plus! They helped me improve my online presence and clearly showcase my strengths. I highly recommend this bootcamp to anyone ready to take their first step into UX/UI design. It offers a great balance of hands-on learning, mentorship, and real-world preparation.
