Terrible MA Program
I enrolled in Springboard’s Medical Assistant program, which was advertised as a 16-week online program that included an externship and pathway to certification. I successfully completed all of my coursework and passed the CCMA exam on July 2, 2026. However, I still cannot obtain my certification because I have not been able to complete the required externship.
Springboard began looking for an externship placement for me around mid-April. Since then, I have experienced repeated delays, poor communication, and lack of follow-through. I had an interview on May 6, but the site had no record of my interview. I later had a meet-and-greet on June 30 and received no follow-up. My classes ended June 3, and I passed my CCMA exam July 2, yet I was still without an externship.
I finally had another interview on August 14. During that interview, the interviewer expressed concerns about my program being online. Since then, I have received no meaningful follow-up from Springboard. As of September 12, I have been left waiting despite repeatedly trying to get updates.
I completed the program and passed the certification exam, but I am being prevented from moving forward in my career because the required externship has not been secured. This has been extremely frustrating after investing significant time and effort into the program.
As of today September 14 2026 my advisor has stopped communicating with me completely as well as my externship coordinator.
