The Syracuse University Bootcamp is a data science, data analytics, and web development bootcamp at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Data Science classes are taught by professional Data Scientists, Analysts, and Managers. Students learn R, RStudio, SQL, MYSQL, APIs, and Python as well as Tableau, Advanced Excel, Google Sheets, and data visualization. Students learn forecasting, statistical modeling, machine learning, and programming basics. Students will work with a local company to build a solution for a real need they have. Students will build a portfolio that includes their own data-driven analysis and presentation.
Students in the Web Development bootcamp learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, MYSQL, RESTful APIs, Express.js, and HTTP. This bootcamp also teaches test-driven development, Node.js., Git, Github, and functional programming. Students learn Model-View-Controller (MVC Architecture), Amazon Alexa skills, JSON, Mocha, Chai, and Expect. Students also learn DevOps and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Classes are taught by professional Web Developers and Engineering Managers. Bootcamp students will work with a local company to build a solution for a real need they have.
The bootcamp offers a Professional Acceleration Program to help students learn how to build a portfolio, network, and interview for a job. Students also receive career coaching and mentoring. Career mentors guide students in their job search and utilize the Stack Network to help graduates find jobs. Bootcamp graduates will receive a Syracuse University Data Science Certificate.
