Udacity offers Nanodegrees which are online immersive full-time and part-time programs, ranging from three to six months in length for students worldwide. Nanodegree courses are available in subjects like data science, artificial intelligence, programming, autonomous systems, business, and cloud computing. Udacity's mission is to bring the highest quality learning to as many students as possible, powering careers through technical education. The custom learning program enables students to learn at their own pace, and manage monthly payments for their programs to fit their budgets. The data science curricula cover Kaggle, Tableau, Alteryx, and Mode platforms; the AI programs cover deep learning, machine learning and AI for trading; and the programming courses include Blockchain, full stack development, and Autonomous Systems programs like Computer Vision, Localization, and Path Planning. Curricula are designed in partnership with established tech companies.

Applicants should enroll after reviewing the courses available and the start dates for those courses. Some Udacity Nanodegrees programs have prerequisites, which are stated for each program. Udacity offers several programs for beginners that are designed to equip students with the foundational skills needed for an eventual technology career or for enrollment in a more advanced career-track Nanodegree program.

All of Udacity's Nanodegree coding bootcamps include real-world projects from industry experts, one-on-one technical mentoring, and career coaching and services. Upon graduation, the coaching services ensure the student has experience in the best interviewing techniques and expertise for fine-tuning their resumes.

Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs) were looking like a mystery to me at first. But as I went through the course, it started to look like a piece of cake! I also love the process of wring the proposal and final report papers for capstone project.. it gets you thinking through your process and planning like a pro!

I started the Business Analytics Nanodegree Program in October 2019 and I am almost done with it. I also finished the Digital Marketing Nanodegree Program like a year and a half ago.

The things I liked about the program:

-The modules are well structured in a way that is easy to follow and practice what you learn

-You don't need a previous solid knowledge in the field to start learning

-There are projects are the end of the modules to help you gauge the skills and knowledge you learnt. Reviewers will review your project and provide you with a detailed review

-You get a certificate upon completion

-You have a dedicated mentor to help you and answer your questions

-You can benefit from career coaching services

      -Slack channel for students

      What I did not like:

      - The course is a bit expensive

-If you don't finish within 3 months ( in my case I chose to pay the three months upfront), you will lose access to the program unless you start paying as you go on a monthly basis again.

      BR,

      Rami

I have been developing Android applications in the past as a hobby. When Google announced to partner with Udacity for this course, I got very excited and had to try this course.

It was an awesome experience.  In my opinion, the course is based on the actual career path of an android developer. Generally, an android developer starts his career with making simple basic apps, then moves to support multiple devices, fixing bugs , then the new android wear apps and material theme and then create an app of his own idea and involved in from designing UI to final development. This course does the same thing . I have learned a lot from this course. The reviewers are very good and give many suggestions to improve your coding style.

After completing this course, I feel I can develop any android application on my own. I don't need any server guy, designers, and testers. That is the real benefit of this course.

Are you interested in robotics? Do you want to learn programming applied to robotics? Are you looking to learn how ROS works? Does the cost worth the course? Well, let me give you my opinion.

I like learning from online courses like this and I've taken several in the past, all of them related to robotics and programming. And I have to say that this is a good course for beginners and for people who wants to try an online platform this will work great. So I will talk about the platform, the content, assistance, and cost.

NOTE: This is just my personal opinion. Keep in mind that we have different ways to learn in my case video lectures and hands-on exercises are the best way to learn. I will grade each content with the following metric:
       - Bad: Offers nothing
       - Regular: good enough but does not offers anything new
       - Awesome: Intuitive, clean, clear

      Platform: "Awesome"
The platform is great, very intuitive and drives you easily to the content you are looking for. It also offers different free courses that you can take at the same time as you are taking the nano-degree. Every project delivery offers multiple options to upload your project.  There is a very active wiki and forum where you might find the answer to some of the questions. It even offers you an amazing online Debian platform where you can develop your projects and/or test them in some cases you do not have to worry about downloading a Virtual Machine (VM) and install your environment on it. However, If you want to learn the process of installing all the tools you need to succeed in this nano-degree I recommend you to install everything yourself.

      Content: "Regular"
The content was framed in a way that every single concept was easy to understand, the instructors are really good explaining and giving the necessary pauses for each step in the structure of algorithms and/or next steps, this includes the connection between one chapter to another. Knowing the concepts and theory is very important and Udacity really knows how to teach you that. However, if you really want to be a Robotics Software Engineer, the course should also teach you how to construct an algorithm from paper to software.

      1. Introduction to robotics:
This chapter is a brief introduction to the robotics world, giving the student a great overview of what to spect and where to focus in the future. It explains the use of the platform along with a nice welcome to the nano-degree.
      2. Gazebo world:
This chapter is all about gazebo and how to create models, worlds, and plug-ins. I used gazebo a couple of times in the past and honestly, I was running away from it because I used to find it very unstable and difficult to use. Udacity took that fear away from me with this chapter, the explanations were like real-time tutorials making easy the understanding of this very powerful tool, I ran into a lot of problems trying to run the examples and the project, but hey that is the only way you can learn right, by troubleshooting your own mess. Anyway, the project was nice and useful for the rest of the chapters, this is where I go back to the chapter connection, whatever you did in your last project will be used in the next. The final project was about creating your first robot.
      3. Ros Essentials:
This chapter is very straight forward. If you've never used ROS before this will give you a good explanation of the system. However, if you've used ROS before it is a waste of time you can easily jump to the project. At this point, you can find the same quality of explanation in some youtube tutorials or even reading the ROS wiki.
      4. Localization, mapping and SLAM, and Path planning navigation:
In this chapter you will have a great time, you will see ROS working with a real algorithm. I enjoyed these modules a lot, it makes you troubleshoot your code and your architecture a lot of times and this is just the beginning. The only thing I really do not like is the use of pre-made packages for the projects, it would be helpful to use the packages at the beginning to teach the student how to run a more complex system on ROS and then teaching the students how to create a real localization algorithm, for example, implementing Monte Carlo localization from the paper (explained in the chapter) to code or RRT for path planning.

      Assistance: Awesome
Assitance was great, there is a big forum full of people with great discussions, you have a private tutor to help you whenever you get stuck. Furthermore, you receive feedback every time you submit a new project. This makes the course a lot more interesting and mainly fun.

Cost: High and keep increasing => Regular

The nano-degree costs almost $900 USD. If you are new, interested in robotics and ROS and you can pay this nano degree. TAKE IT!!, it is the best option online by far. However, if you cannot pay such amount don't worry if you commit yourself to read the ROS wiki and/or practice with some video tutorials from YouTube/Coursera/EDX/Udemy they will get you up and running with all you need to start your career on ROS.
I personally enjoyed the course, however, I wasn't ready to be called a robotics engineer. It requires a lot more than any training or course. It requires commitment, hard work, practice and the most important of all HAVE FUN.  If you can take these challenges take this nano-degree.

Well, it was me an exciting journey. I always wanted to pursue a course but would always give in. The best part about scholarship is that you're not alone doing the courses. But you're put in a group of fellow members, of all ages; that's the best part. I really like the AMA session that happens once in a week. That actually is one of the best places to share your knowledge. So, when it comes to programing. It's amazing. I like it and some times I hate it.. but once i got the hang of it. I can't resist it. That's true.. in the beginning. Everything is new, but slowly you develop an aptitude for it. I really don't know how you're going to get used to it. But, for me it was like that. Even when you're stuck at some point, there are mentors to guide you. That's another good thing I really liked about. Having a mentor is like having a second Google. This time, all you have to do is ask him. And he might not give you the whole code but will guide you in the best way to get out of the error you're stuck in. I'd say I've learned a lot.. Thank you udacity for such amazing journey. All new connections. And it's been a good journey.

This Nanodegree was my first introduction to Machine Learning as I come from a Marketing background. The curriculum is very complete, as it covers everything you would like to know about machine learning. The projects they propose are the best I've found across different learning platforms: they are challenging, forcing you to really understand the content, and apply the algorithms yourself. Once you have finished the course you really feel confident about your knowledge and skills to apply for jobs. In my case, thanks to this Nanodegree, I was able to get into an MSc in Artificial Intelligence.

The course was very well structured and engaging. It covered lot of concepts starting from the basics. I got familiar with how to develop an end to end webb application using Python, Flask and Postgres. Loved creating real time web applications and getting it reviewed by our mentors. The mentors were also quick in responding back whenever I faced any issues. It covered a lot of new concepts and techologies but only thing I felt a bit lagging was that the course was a little outdated. I believe that Udacity has now newly included docker, kubernetes to the program which is good. They can also include Angular or React along with this instead of basic javascript to make the course a perfect one!

Broad on topics, modern and useful content.

Projects are related to what is seen in class.

Maybe we need a more formal explanation of certain techniques such as Adam and GANs.

Will be a plus more documented exercises and projects,

as example: put in the description of a function the shape of the input and the ouput

      def func(x):

      """

      x: pytorch tensor (b,h,w,c)

      b: batch dimension

      h: height

      w: wide

      c: number of channels

      """

Add for every module a 'intuition section' and make more profund quizzes.

In general is an excellent and complete specialization. Even includes a deployment module.

I was curious to study on Udacity to learn high tech contect and get the Nanodegree certification because of the success stories  I had been seeing of twitter on how people got a job after their Nanodegree.

I was selected for grant by Egypt Government African App Launchpad to study AI Programming with Python, I was extremely passionate about learning what AI is and how I can build solutions to my community using AI Applications.

I highly recommend beginners or anyone curious and passionate about AI to take the  AI Programming with Python Nanodgree, because it is totally beginners friendly, I was  taught right Python Hello World to other python libraries and other packages, the maths part of AI then Neural Networks and deep learning, which have been a awesome experience to me in building a new skillset and become employable in job market today.

First and foremost, Udacity has great content including their videos and their code repositories which are hosted on GitHub.  The explanations are not overly complex (if sometimes a little contrived).  There are periodic quizzes in the content to help solidify concepts along with solutions if it is confusing.

The curriculum itself is well-organized and (from what I can tell) is organized in modular blocks so that the same module can be applied in different Nanodegrees.  This would be a con if I was taking other Nanodegrees and discovered that I had already learned about a specific module previously.  However, I do like the structure of it and it makes sense in the order in which it is presented.

Lastly, the in-browser Jupyter Notebook experience on Udacity cannot be beat.  It is very easy to use and the autosave is trustworthy (I never experienced a loss of work when closing the browser or losing my connection).

I take the udacity basic nanodegree program in September 2019, i actually get this as a gift to my birthday from my wife. The course is about  how to make android basic apps.

Since day 1 i am logging in the udacity website i was so excited about this course since this is really what i want to learn. Honestly, udacity really surpass beyond my expectation about online course.

Here is something i notice as a plus point of udacity :

      1. Clear achievement purpose. In udacity you will be given some topic and project to clear. This topic is really coherence to what you want to achieve;

      2. The material is presented in detail and clear. Have you had an online course that made you thinking "why am i taking this course when this material is literally all over google?".
Well, Udacity is NOT of that course, the team is really detail about material that i guarantee if you want to "googling" about all material without knowing the framework you will take months of googling.

      3. The project is related to real case in real life. All project in udacity is so related to real case i need to solve in real life. For example, by finishing project 4 now i can make some music player which is real beneficial when i need a media player in my android apps. The project you submit is also reviewed in code where the reviewer give suggestion how to write better code.

      4. Career development. Udacity is not only giving material about android apps, but also teaching you how to create a good profile in linked in an github account so that you can have better chance getting carrier in real project.

      5. Video call with tutor. This is really big plus point since you have your private tutor to ask whenever you had trouble with code.

however there are some point you may want to consider before taking course :

      1. since the course fee is paid monthly, you may want to schedule it first to your daily schedule before taking course because the longer you finished the course the more expensive it will be. In my experience , the average time to finish nanodegree program is about three months with cost $399/month. However, you can achieve quicker than the average, i have heard many stories about student who can finish nanodegree program in two month or even one month. I finished my nanodegree in three month, but i really confidence if i take another course i can finish it in one/two months.

      2. clear about what you want to achieve. You may be spending hours to complete the course, if you are not clear what you want to achieve you may lost interest in the middle of the course.

      CONCLUSION

Here is my conclusion about udacity :

Udacity is not a cheap course BUT it will make you expensive. in my case, i start getting $ from apps and side job from knowledge that i learned from udacity.

I was a middle class student from Nepal and i was living on remote village. One day i found about Udacity and then i signed up for Secure and Private AI challenge course. And in 3 month period of the course from june 2019, i turned into something else. I found the greates motivation factor ;slack channe;'; Plus the quatlity of content is very high. The contents were made for absolute beginner and i was not that beginner because i had done OCR using numpy, keras, OpenCv before joining course. We also had a project showcase and our team got 2nd place on that. Here is the link of medium article i wrote during that period of challenge https://medium.com/secure-and-private-ai-writing-challenge/crowd-counting-made-easy-1bf84f18ff61. I was having my semester exam at that time but motivation i had from slack community was great and i got passed on semester and got Deep Learning Nanodegree also. Deep Learning Nanodegree lasted for 4 months and i graduated from it few days ago. Additionally, i am also a student on Udacity's other challenge courses like Intel Edge AI, Bertelsman Tech Scholarship. Due to the Udacity's courses, i got AI intern and i am now teaching AI on local academy. Plus i do organize some AI meetups. From the bottom of my heart Udacity changed my life. I'm yet to see an introductory course that truly delivers on its promises like this one. I start from zero to building Deep Learning models that classify images and achieve an accuracy of 95% using PyTorch.

The instructors were super awesome and very knowledgeable about the subjects. I learn not just the Neural Networks, but also the underlying Maths and how everything gets tied together.

I'm very confident in my ability, and I highly recommend this course for absolute beginners and experienced devs alike, who are planning to dive into this exciting field of AI.

FYI: The course is safe-contain, you'll learn everything within the course. Yeah, you heard me right, all the Python, the Maths (you'll thank me for this), the Neural Network. Exciting right?

I moved to the UK 5 years ago, I had 1 goal in Mind, to make tomorrow better for me and my wife here, I have built few applications using HTML5,CSS3, Query and PHP but i never felt like i'm ready to work as a sofware developer, something was missing!

in 2016, i heared about the Google/Udacity front end Nanodegree which i applied for, first email came with i was rejected, i was so upset but few minutes later i received another email saying i was accepted and the first email was sent by mistake :) i was over the moon.

in 2017 my wife gave birth to our baby boy Youssef, everything started to be hard especially the time, i didn't have time at all, but i was 2 months away from finishing the couse, i bought IPad to watch and follow the course during the rest time at my old work until the course was over in november 2017.

when the course finished i felt like i'm ready to work as a web developer, i updated my cv, and few months later i was accepted as a web developer at medium size insurance company in the UK.

so proud i took this course at Udacity.

Thanks to everyone who got envolved with this couse.
