Kim Wood is an extremely knowledgeable career coach and she helped me a ton when it came to my interview process. The instructors were extremely friendly and knowledgeable as well. A few things to consider if you're thinking about enrolling at Fullstack... Start studying for your Security+ ASAP and be prepared to study outside of class hours. My two goals when starting this course were to have Sec+ completed and a job lined up for when I graduated. Both of those goals have been accomplished, I actually got my job offer 3 days before graduation! I know most everyone who reads these reviews wants to know whether or not they will get a job and I'm confident to say that if I can do it, anyone can do it. The only downside I can think of with this bootcamp would be that my cohort was over 70 students which made it a bit tough to get 1 on 1 time with the instructors and to have your personal questions answered. However, there are mentors in the cohorts in which they provide outside class office hours that you can attend to ask any questions if you can spare any time outside the course itself. Lastly, start focusing on LinkedIn and building connections. This is how I found out, applied and got my job so I cannot stress enough how important LinkedIn is. Also, NO I did NOT have prior tech/cybersecurity experience before this bootcamp either. My agent at the German "Agentur für Arbeit" recommended WBS Coding School to me, and after thorough research, I decided to go with it. It was the best decision I could have made. The courses were held remotely, with a two-week on-campus phase at the end to work on a final project with the other students. My instructor was incredibly competent, kind, and supportive. She truly knows her subject matter and how to teach it effectively. All of us attending the bootcamp learned so much that we now feel confident applying for jobs in data science, despite having limited prior knowledge before enrolling. The campus phase concluded the journey perfectly, and I was quite sad when it ended. The campus is beautifully situated right by the River Spree in Berlin. Jamming on the piano almost every night was an added bonus. Overall, I expected the bootcamp to be "good," but I never anticipated it would be absolutely outstanding! Big shout-out to everyone at the school, my fellow students, and our instructor!

Undoubtedly, my prior experience in website development, experimentation with web technologies, and close collaboration with software engineers facilitated my engagement with the rigorous curriculum. I particularly appreciated the integration of lectures and hands-on exercises. Learning new concepts in the mornings and immediately applying them in practical exercises in the afternoons provided a sense of daily achievement and steady progress. The most rewarding aspect of the bootcamp was undoubtedly the group assignments, especially the final project (capstone project), where we honed our teamwork skills and successfully developed a nearly functional product from inception to completion in just three weeks. Additionally, the vibrant learning environment at the Zurich campus and the opportunity to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds who shared a common passion added immense value to the experience.

The course covers in depth data analysis and machine learning, giving a broad range of skills and knowledge. Multiple hours of hands on practice with thoughtful guidance from the instructors. Allocated full days for project work on a team level, with presentation required at the end of the day. The big bonus at the end of the 2 months course: 4-weeks of project with a business on an actual business problem they want to tackle.
I am amazed with the skills I obtained in only 3 months. Outside from the super important technical aspect of the course, I learnt to work on a team, time management, project management, stakeholder management. Additionally, to learn how to work with main focus the business purpose and be able to explain a problem and its resolution, to people that aren’t heavily involved with it, it’s a life skill. Definitely recommend the Bootcamp!!

Overall, the bootcamp is great - you learn a lot in a short amount of time. I would recommend a bootcamp if you are in a hurry to change careers. That being said, LHL is not responsible for the overarching job market / economic climate. When I graduated every tech giant was doing mass layoffs. Bear that in mind before making a decision. Nothing is guaranteed. After a total of 8 months (which includes 3months of bootcamp) i finally landed a junior dev role. And I was lucky. That being said, the support from career services was good. They help where they can. If I were to use an analogy: they are a passenger in the car you are driving. Is it worth the money? I'm not sure. I think that they do a lot of behind-the-scenes work that indirectly benefited me.
Overall, if you are passionate about tech and want to start your career, give it a go. Life is too short.
For curriculum I would prefer not spending a week on Ruby. I think the curriculum would be better served with an extra week with React or learning Typescript. Pivoting out of Javascript for a week didn't feel worth it to me. On top of that none of the TAs who picked up my request-tickets knew the language. Last November I subbed for a guy at a theater who was leaving to take a coding bootcamp. I was like, wait, a what camp? You mean I can learn how to do this coding thing for real?
Last week I launched my app, built from the ground up in Java and Spring, with the things I learned from Coding Nomads. Feels great!
Coding Nomads has been great. I liked it so much that I started their Javascript course recently. Here's what the founder said about my capstone project: "Your capstone is among the best we've ever seen here at CodingNomads and we've worked with hundreds of students. So, job well done!"
My intention is not to leave pro audio, but I do see software development as my next career act. Ideally, I'd like to keep building Tracebook and SubAligner, while doing freelance development work for manufacturers, AV companies, and the live event industry.
