Review: Nucamp Bootcamp Experience I decided to enroll in Nucamp because I wanted to transition into a tech career & It was definitely the right decision for me! The curriculum is well-structured, and the instructors are knowledgeable and supportive. The combination of self-paced learning and interactive workshops made it easy to grasp new concepts and apply them through hands-on projects. One of the highlights of the bootcamp was the sense of community. The active online forums allowed me to connect with my peers and instructors, making the learning experience more engaging and enjoyable. After completing the bootcamp, my goal is to continue growing as a developer and eventually specialize in front-end development. Nucamp has set a strong foundation for my career in tech, and I'm excited to see where this journey takes me!

This is an excellent course with high-quality learning materials, both during the live sessions and through the additional resources provided for self-study. The content covered and the weekly classes are of a very high standard and allow for significant progress throughout the learning journey. The course materials are fully up to date and include all the theoretical foundations needed for those of us who enjoy exploring topics in depth. At the same time, the concepts are explained clearly enough for learners who simply want to achieve the expected learning outcomes of the course. I would like to sincerely thank the instructors and especially my assigned tutor, who closely supported me throughout the entire program. Hello everyone! Before starting the bootcamp I was super scared that I wasn't going to be able to follow the classes and understand the content but it turned out to be way better in so many aspects than I could've ever imagined. From my fellow coleagues, to the professors and to the whole staff of Ironhack everyone helped each other out so much that made the whole bootcamp and the whole proccess of learning new things so much easier. I want to give a special appreciation to Diogo Capitão, the PM on the Lisbon campus for making sure everyone had everything they needed and to attend to everyone's necessities makinhg sure everything went as smoothly as possaible. On a last note I just want to say it was one of the best decisions I made recently and I highly reccoment it to everyone wanting to shift carreers to any of the bootcamps available.

I started out at Correlation One with little or no knowledge about coding but at the end of an intensive course training on software development I was able to learn new skills which will help me go a long way in my software development dreams . Correlation made it so easy, which few months back I never thought it could be so easy . The lead instructors and the teaching assistant and career coach were hands on with delivery cutting edge lectures and assistant. I recommend Correlation One anytime any day .

Thinkful was so helpful and I believe it was the solid foundation and starting point of my software development journey. I enjoyed studying with them and I felt like it was thorough and the lessons were on point with relativity and being complete. Highly recommend to anyone starting out as a developer.

I recently completed the GA SEI program and it was the best decision I’ve made for myself in my life. My lead instructor Dan was the most knowledgeable and skilled teacher I’ve ever had, and made this experience not only doable but enjoyable. I couldn’t have asked for a better team leading us through the unknown. On to the job search I go, with confidence and skills I know will lend me my dream job!

Good curriculum that enforces students to study programming from the very fundamentals and gradually to a very challenging yet effective learning curve that grows students to experts in no time with great instructors.

The short version. I believe that this course is good for complete beginners but it is too expensive for the value you get. That's in regards to the knowledge you come out of the program with and your chances of breaking into an engineering role, particularly in this economy. If you are going to go through with the course, I highly recommend taking only 1 stack (i.e., language). They're extremely similar and it's not possible to become proficient in multiple languages during the course's timeframe. Honestly, my biggest regret in this course was taking more than 1 stack. The longer version. Background. A bit background on me for comparison sake if it helps with your decision making. I've worked a bunch of corporate jobs from finance to consulting. I'm good at excel but was a complete beginner at coding. I started learning how to code on my own about 4 months prior to enrolling into the bootcamp. I ultimately decided to enroll because I wanted to accelerate my learning with the thought that the bootcamp would significantly decrease the amount of time it took me to get a job. I came in knowing that bootcamps in general are not a golden ticket into a software development role, and that ultimately, you get out what you put in. Curriculum. I took two stacks, Python and MERN (Javascript). I definitely did learn a few things during the program. However, I was surprised to see a number of lessons in the curriculum were simply links to other sites. In fact, the very most I learned during the program was during the lesson on CSS and the curriculum was basically all links to lessons you could find for free, such as Flexbox Froggy. I do want to make it clear that you do learn the basics of programming from loops, data types and conditionals. You also come out of each stack being able to build a basic app, learning how to build the frontend, backend and connect the two. However, I knew most of the material already even though I had been learning how to code for 4 months prior, using free resources. There's definitely value of having structure and guidance (although Chat-GPT could fill that role) so if that's a reason why you want to join the program then that's a great decision too. Just please don't take more than 1 stack. I think MERN is the best because you learn react and that's a very popular frontend framework. The stacks are basically copies of each other and I didn't gain any additional value, but it was expensive. The bootcamp sells you on the importance of learning multiple languages but once you have the foundational knowledge of a language, it's all syntax from there. You're likely gonna forget the first stack's language nuances by the time you're done with the second stack anyways, and I think it's more important to show that you're proficient at coding through your projects. That becomes a lot easier when you stick to one language. Teachers and Teacher Assistants. The bootcamp has multiple lectures weekly and also provides TA support throughout the afternoon / evening. I found both the teachers and TA's to be very nice and knowledgable about the curriculum. They're former students, which is definitely helping the bootcamps employment numbers. There are moments where it's still clear that the teachers and TA's learned coding fairly recently. As I mentioned in the curriculum section, you get taught the basics and if you need help with that level of knowledge, then the support is great. Step a little outside of that boundary and you don't get much support. I visited the TA's about a number of times during the course with questions that were just a step or two deeper into what was being taught in the curriculum and I genuinely can't remember a time when they answered my question. One TA even explained that it's a skill to be able to find an answer by myself, which is true but I'm also paying over $12K for you to help guide me. Chat-GPT became popular during my time in this course and I can confidently say that it has been so much more helpful than Coding Dojo. Career Support. A big reason why I chose Coding Dojo was the lifetime career support. It sounds amazing and ultimately the reason why many people choose to join a bootcamp is to get a job. The people who you will work with are kind. I had a great experience interacting with them on a personal level, but they provided me with limited help. I didn't use all of their resources to be fair. I did use them for guidance on how to approach the job search, my resume, and review of my portfolio website. For guidance, it was very high level. For example, you should build out a portfolio website highlighting projects, get your resume together, and look at jobs on these sites. When I was talking to the sales rep, it seemed as if Coding Dojo had a lot more relationship or pipelines with companies looking to hire. However, at present there were no relationships like that. Part of that is the economy but it did not seem like there were many to begin with. For my resume and portfolio website, I just got a lot of praise or minor edits. If you come from a career path where you have experience writing a corporate resume then the career services in my opinion will not provide significant value. Especially if you also know where to look for jobs (BuiltIn, Wellfound, Y Combinator's website). These jobs aren't necessarily hard to find. However, if you're coming for less adjacent field then there is definitely value here. Conclusion. After going through a bootcamp, I understand all the comments about how bootcamp is not a golden ticket into a software development role. Yet, it can still be useful. The question is whether it is worth the cost. I say maybe, but only if it's for one stack. Also, I suggest part time if you can rather than full time because it's not going to be easy to break into engineering after this program. If you can be self-taught I would personally go that route, picking a project and then learning what it takes to build that project. In fact, that's exactly what I did and I've learned 5x more than I learned during the bootcamp. I even learned the most up-to-date popular technologies and frameworks, which the curriculum doesn't teach. Not that the curriculum is outdated, but it's also not completely up-to-date either.

Greate effort that did is clear to eyes , good content exactly that needed no unnecessary content there its clear and easy to understand and make you just catch the target

This course was great, making me confident that my web development capabilities were solid. I think I may have taken two or three courses on reactJS and still couldn't do much of anything with the technology. This course changed that for sure. To top everything off, the fundamentals course introduced me to 'typing' which changed everything for me. From the fundamentals to the specialty courses, this program is unmatched by anything on the market today, this statement is made even more true when you compare the CourseCareers price to the price of other software development programs. The low price of the learning material is nothing compared to the reward of building your own applications. I'll definitely be back for even more specialty training.

This review is long overdue, but I can honestly say Codesmith changed my life. It didn’t just teach me software engineering, it taught me how to learn on my own and how to push past challenges. I also met some amazing people who made the journey even better. If you are on the fence about it, my only advice is to go for it. It is completely worth it. Just know what you are signing up for. Codesmith does not babysit you. They give you the tools and the structure, but it is up to you to put in the work. They push you to step up, and that is exactly why you grow so much. It is the perfect mix of being hard enough to inspire you but never so hard that you want to quit. When it comes to the curriculum, I graduated in November 2023, so I am sure some topics have shifted a little, probably more toward things like AI. But the way the course is structured is what makes it so powerful. In the first half you are getting new lectures every single day. It feels overwhelming and you might think you are not learning everything. Everyone feels that way. What you are really doing is collecting all the pieces of the puzzle. Then, when you hit the project stage, everything clicks. That is when your learning grows exponentially. I loved that stage and learned so much. It did not even hit me until I got my first job how prepared I really was. I realized I had skills that people already in the field were missing, like using the terminal and git properly. Trust the process because it works. The job search stage was the hardest part for me. By that point I was already a little burnt out. But the great thing is Codesmith keeps supporting you even after you graduate. They offer resume reviews, interview prep, and career coaching. I had my resume reviewed twice and did four mock interviews. After my first mock interview with Alexander, one of the career coaches, I left with so many tips that every phone screen I had after that turned into a real interview. The support is there, you just have to take advantage of it. Another part that surprised me was the community. I did not think it would matter much, but it ended up being one of the most important things. Your peers are the ones who help you through the tough moments, especially during the job search. I am also grateful to Eric who helped me negotiate my offers and guided me in the right direction. Looking back, I would do it all over again. Codesmith gave me everything I needed to succeed and the support did not stop once the program ended. If you are serious about becoming a software engineer, this is the program to choose.

As a former computer science student in college, Flatiron will teach you things I never learned, or even expected to learn, in a coding bootcamp. Upon graduating, I became even more impressed with the overall experience when using the career services. I felt incredibly lost leading up to graduation when thinking about the job hunt because I had no experience in the corporate world. I was not switching careers, but still pursuing my original one. I now feel fully equipped with knowing lots of corporate etiquette and certain formulas and procedures you just have to follow for things. There were a couple downsides, and I'm hoping one was due to a unique situation. I dealt with instructor roulette due to layoffs and curriculum restructuring. Even though I was on the FLEX self-paced path, not having a static instructor the entire time was rough. The other is lack of focus on algorithmic, typical coding questions you will see in tech interviews. There is a curriculum for that post-grad, but I would have liked to learn more and be tested on them during my education.

Bootcamp learning comes with a steep learning curve, but having the right mentor makes all the difference. Switching to work with coach Victoria Elisabeth was a complete game-changer for my TripleTen experience. While the curriculum provides a strong technical foundation, Victoria made the entire process so much less stressful. Her patient, empathetic coaching style allowed me to pace myself, digest the materials deeply, and gain true confidence in my skills. Huge thanks to Victoria for being such an understanding mentor throughout this journey!

I had a really really tough and great experience at the fullstack academy. the instructors are super great and intelligents. the curriculum is well organized. I would recommend it but BE PREPARE.

After enrolling in Tech Academy's Cybersecurity Boot Camp, I have been astounded by the program's effectiveness. Despite my limited prior knowledge of computers, the boot camp provided me with a comprehensive education in operating systems, networks, virtual machines, and other essential concepts. As a result, my understanding of cybersecurity has significantly improved, giving me confidence in my ability to pursue a career in this field. One of the things I appreciated most about the boot camp was the hands-on learning opportunities. I was able to work on real-world projects and simulations, which helped me to develop the skills and experience I need to be successful in the tech industry. The staff at Tech Academy was also incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. They were always available to answer my questions and provide guidance, and they made sure that I had the knowledge and skills I needed before moving on to the next topic. Overall, I had an amazing experience at Tech Academy and I am excited to start my new career in the tech industry. I would highly recommend this boot camp to anyone who is looking for a comprehensive and hands-on learning experience in cybersecurity.

The coaches are skilled, caring and supportive. They get to know you and really care about your success and wellbeing. The course is very comprehensive and at times intense but not as intense as I was expecting. It was manageable and I learned so much in such a short space of time. I wouldn’t say I felt totally prepared for that first role as a software developer but that’s more because of many companies’ unrealistic expectations on Junior Developers (and maybe a little bit of a self-confidence issue, too - I was a teacher with zero coding experience before making the switch). If you put in the work, you can make that career switch with Makers. They came highly recommended to me and I saw why.

I recently completed Clarusway's 9-month front-end and back-end bootcamp, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The curriculum is comprehensive, covering all the key technologies needed to excel as a full-stack developer. I started with little more than a basic understanding of coding, but thanks to the structured learning path, I now feel confident in both front-end and back-end development. Front-End: The front-end modules were robust, with a strong focus on modern technologies such as React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Hyperion dev has provided me with a great experience overall. From the course content that takes a step by step approach in guiding me from one stack/technology to another to the mentors that do their best to help in all situations where I was stuck and the reviewers who explain the problems they find in my code, apon submission, which makes it easier for me to fix. It truly has been a Rollercoaster but very much worth it

The Bootcamp started as a new experience for me and with no previous knowledge i had to learn everything from scratch. we had 4 instructors through the whole course, they all had a good preparation and were always available to help when needed. i Learned things new things that completely changed my view on what a software is and how i look at it, not just basic ui and functionality anymore but code wise and the complexity of every single action it performs. im really grateful to have been a part of this bootcamp, for all i have learned, and what i will make of it in my future. dankie wbs God seën jou ;D

After completing Devmountain's Coding Basics course, I promptly enrolled in the 16-week full time React Web Development Boot Camp. I knew of people who had taken this specific course and obtained employment immediately post-graduation. I come from a long career in healthcare with no prior coding knowledge prior to enrolling at Devmountain and, although it was difficult to fully grasp the concepts, the instructors were extremely patient, available, and helpful to ensure I would complete every project. The curriculum was great, I have all the recordings for future reference, and I definitely feel more confident at the end of the program than I did on day 1. I loved the group activities and pair programming. It was a fun and interactive class! The student success manager and outcomes team were incredibly supportive and available when I needed to discuss my progress, apprehensions, and issues. They encourage you to continue to reach out after graduation and offer to help during the job search. I didn't realize the tech job market would be so difficult to get into at this time, but I know that if I continue to utilize Devmountain's resources, staff, and instruction, I should be able to find tech employment soon.

I would recommend DigitalCrafts to anyone that is committed to transitioning into full-stack software development. During the 17-week full-time program I experienced tremendous growth and was able to build much greater things than I expected. On the 17th week I was accepted into an internship and it's because of this bootcamp. During the full-time bootcamp it is up to you and how hard you are willing to apply yourself during this time. If you need to recharge, recharge. However, if you have free time, commit it to learning new technologies or improving existing skills. As I write this, I am now familiarizing myself with an entirely new codebase and beginning work with 40 other developers. The curriculum keeps you moving and lays an important foundation for new developers. Also, I would recommend Veronica as an instructor. If you're willing to work hard and you aren't just trying to "get by" - this bootcamp will be great for you.

I'm apart of the HR part time program and my experience to say the least is disappointing. the first half of the program is pair programming which you are matched with a random pair weekly who most often is "too busy" to pair with you, prefers to work solo or is flat out working ahead of you. When you reach out to address the issue of pairing, you will be told that it's normal and everyone seems to be having an issue with pairing and that staff will try to be more mindful of pairing. I mean come on its a part time program and within the first 3 weeks the structure of the program was clear so if you choose to stay, you should be able to follow the guidelines! How can you be set up for success when the first half of the program you are dependent on a partner that has anti pairing behaviors? However, If YOU work ahead and leave your partner behind, you will be reprimanded for it surprisingly. At this point because it continues to happen, I'm not sure ALL students who do this get reprimanded if you get what I am hinting at. That's not to say you won't meet some great people here. There are always diamonds in the rough. The curriculum needs a lot of work, and honestly some of it comes off as culturally insensitive. Hiring outside POC isn't going to change that, the curriculum needs a whole reboot. Some of videos is full of what they explain as "Bro-y" language but really the lecturer is an insensitive douche. In one of the videos the lecturer actually told a student they hadn't bothered to remember their name. WOW! The class was told they forgot to cut that part out. YIKES. Considering the cost of the program on top of my current experience only a few months in, I wouldn't recommend HR to anyone else to spend almost 20,000 on this bs. You would legit only be paying for the network.
