Somerville Academy
Somerville Academy is a technology school created by and for women that offers an online Digital Marketing bootcamp. The Digital Marketing bootcamps is offered as a 12-week, part-time course or as a 16-week, full-time course. Students of the full-time course should plan to commit 20-30 hours per week to coursework, and part-time students should expect to commit 10-15 hours per week. Each cohort has only four students, and classes are live streamed. Students receive 24/7 support from a Teaching Assistant and access to additional learning materials. Students will complete four capstone projects with real businesses that are part of the Somerville Academy Community Partner Program.
Somerville Academy Digital Marketing bootcamp students will learn paid search, email marketing, SEO, and content marketing. Bootcamp students will learn paid social, Google Analytics, and marketing analytics. The final two weeks of the Digital Marketing bootcamp are focused on career and professional development.
The Somerville Academy application process begins with a one-on-one, 45-minute career strategy phone conversation. Scholarships may be available for single moms, women of color, members of the LGBTQ+ community, women with disabilities, women with chronic physical or mental diseases, and survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault. Qualifying students may be eligible for multiple scholarships.

This program helped me take a dream and make it a reality. This all women school (Founder+Staff+Students) was such a great environment to pivot careers and learn digital marketing. It's tough and a lot to learn but the small class sizes (4:1) creates the space to ask tones of questions so you don't feel stuck or get lost. The instructors are all working in the field, so are 100% up on the industry and are really encouraging, patient and supportive. The course work is all experienced-base...This program helped me take a dream and make it a reality. The course work is all experienced-based, which was my favourite part as I prefer practical knowledge to just theory and pointless projects. Resume and portfolio development are built into the program and they have career coaches on staff too, so you find a job as soon as you graduate.
