John Tyler & Reynolds Community Colleges, in partnership with The Community College Workforce Alliance, offers an 18-week online Back End Software Developer bootcamp. Classes meet online once per week. In addition to the weekly class, students meet once a week for a remote, 30-minute one-on-one session with a mentor. Bootcamp instructors are industry professionals.
The Back End Software Developer curriculum covers Java, OOP, algorithms, design patterns, and unit testing. Bootcamp students will learn SQL, JDBC, DDL, database concepts, and DML. Students will also learn Spring Boot, AWS, JWT, REST, and JPA.
Potential students will be asked to take a 12-question assessment to determine whether the Back End Software Development bootcamp is a good fit for them.
