I completed the online Back end bootcamp in May 2024, opting for the flexi option but I was still able to attend the weekly workshops (You just need to email them and ask if you are on the cheaper flexi-plan.) Overall: - It covers a lot of Back-End fundamentals, however to get fully job ready I'd say you will need to do a lot more than just completing the weekly lessons. Luckily they do provide you with a lot of extra documentation to build a more solid base. I'd also suggest to be constantly building your own projects to apply the skills in a more practical context. - The content is mainly videos or walkthrough exercises, so to make it more challenging I was completing the exercises alone and then just checking the guide if I struggled - The workshops are usually a review (with more practical examples) of the weeks' content, and then you complete an individual project. None of the workshops really did group projects, so I'd suggest contacting other classmembers to form private study groups etc (especially to learn about collaborative projects on GitHub like in a real job.) The short version. I believe that this course is good for complete beginners but it is too expensive for the value you get. That's in regards to the knowledge you come out of the program with and your chances of breaking into an engineering role, particularly in this economy. If you are going to go through with the course, I highly recommend taking only 1 stack (i.e., language). They're extremely similar and it's not possible to become proficient in multiple languages during the course's timeframe. Honestly, my biggest regret in this course was taking more than 1 stack. The longer version. Background. A bit background on me for comparison sake if it helps with your decision making. I've worked a bunch of corporate jobs from finance to consulting. I'm good at excel but was a complete beginner at coding. I started learning how to code on my own about 4 months prior to enrolling into the bootcamp. I ultimately decided to enroll because I wanted to accelerate my learning with the thought that the bootcamp would significantly decrease the amount of time it took me to get a job. I came in knowing that bootcamps in general are not a golden ticket into a software development role, and that ultimately, you get out what you put in. Curriculum. I took two stacks, Python and MERN (Javascript). I definitely did learn a few things during the program. However, I was surprised to see a number of lessons in the curriculum were simply links to other sites. In fact, the very most I learned during the program was during the lesson on CSS and the curriculum was basically all links to lessons you could find for free, such as Flexbox Froggy. I do want to make it clear that you do learn the basics of programming from loops, data types and conditionals. You also come out of each stack being able to build a basic app, learning how to build the frontend, backend and connect the two. However, I knew most of the material already even though I had been learning how to code for 4 months prior, using free resources. There's definitely value of having structure and guidance (although Chat-GPT could fill that role) so if that's a reason why you want to join the program then that's a great decision too. Just please don't take more than 1 stack. I think MERN is the best because you learn react and that's a very popular frontend framework. The stacks are basically copies of each other and I didn't gain any additional value, but it was expensive. The bootcamp sells you on the importance of learning multiple languages but once you have the foundational knowledge of a language, it's all syntax from there. You're likely gonna forget the first stack's language nuances by the time you're done with the second stack anyways, and I think it's more important to show that you're proficient at coding through your projects. That becomes a lot easier when you stick to one language. Teachers and Teacher Assistants. The bootcamp has multiple lectures weekly and also provides TA support throughout the afternoon / evening. I found both the teachers and TA's to be very nice and knowledgable about the curriculum. They're former students, which is definitely helping the bootcamps employment numbers. There are moments where it's still clear that the teachers and TA's learned coding fairly recently. As I mentioned in the curriculum section, you get taught the basics and if you need help with that level of knowledge, then the support is great. Step a little outside of that boundary and you don't get much support. I visited the TA's about a number of times during the course with questions that were just a step or two deeper into what was being taught in the curriculum and I genuinely can't remember a time when they answered my question. One TA even explained that it's a skill to be able to find an answer by myself, which is true but I'm also paying over $12K for you to help guide me. Chat-GPT became popular during my time in this course and I can confidently say that it has been so much more helpful than Coding Dojo. Career Support. A big reason why I chose Coding Dojo was the lifetime career support. It sounds amazing and ultimately the reason why many people choose to join a bootcamp is to get a job. The people who you will work with are kind. I had a great experience interacting with them on a personal level, but they provided me with limited help. I didn't use all of their resources to be fair. I did use them for guidance on how to approach the job search, my resume, and review of my portfolio website. For guidance, it was very high level. For example, you should build out a portfolio website highlighting projects, get your resume together, and look at jobs on these sites. When I was talking to the sales rep, it seemed as if Coding Dojo had a lot more relationship or pipelines with companies looking to hire. However, at present there were no relationships like that. Part of that is the economy but it did not seem like there were many to begin with. For my resume and portfolio website, I just got a lot of praise or minor edits. If you come from a career path where you have experience writing a corporate resume then the career services in my opinion will not provide significant value. Especially if you also know where to look for jobs (BuiltIn, Wellfound, Y Combinator's website). These jobs aren't necessarily hard to find. However, if you're coming for less adjacent field then there is definitely value here. Conclusion. After going through a bootcamp, I understand all the comments about how bootcamp is not a golden ticket into a software development role. Yet, it can still be useful. The question is whether it is worth the cost. I say maybe, but only if it's for one stack. Also, I suggest part time if you can rather than full time because it's not going to be easy to break into engineering after this program. If you can be self-taught I would personally go that route, picking a project and then learning what it takes to build that project. In fact, that's exactly what I did and I've learned 5x more than I learned during the bootcamp. I started my program in January 2025 and finished in September that same year. While I completed the Data Science program, I actually ended landing a role as a Technical Support Engineer. What TripleTen taught me was the soft skill of self-direction and adaptability. The program was self-paced, so completing lessons consistently through my own drive was vital to completing the program on time. The lessons were a good mix of theory and practical coding, which gave me plenty of practice for each progressively more complicated concept. The lessons built on each other, but given the nature of bootcamps, depth is not possible. This course did an excellent job of exposing me to high level concepts in Machine Learning (Supervised, Unsupervised), model building, and various kinds of analyses. It is vital that the student recognize their weak points (mine was SQL) and take their own initiative to strengthen them. Overall, TripleTen helped me immensely in breaking into tech, but just not the way I was expecting. The Career Acceleration program is helpful because it forces a focused job search instead of a shotgun approach. At the time of this posting, the job market is extremely difficult. I submitted well over 200 applications from October 2025 to May 2026 before landing a job. What helped me the most was starting my networking early. I reached out to a colleague when I started the program, and told him what I was studying and asked if he would tell his team and keep an eye out for any opportunities he could send my way. Mock Interviews are helpful for reducing nerves and gaining confidence in various interview formats. The career coaches are there to help you, and you should take every opportunity to get their help. TripleTen is the reason I am in tech today.

I learned many programming languages and frameworks and graduated with plenty of knowledge and experience to get hired in the field. Tech Academy has a robust curriculum that can take even the most novice students with no coding experience and give you the tools to be a legitimate developer. They have very encouraging and motivated staff that are ready and available to help out when needed. This was a very intensive program(that is the whole point of a Bootcamp) where you must really be dedicated and willing to put in the time and effort to succeed. With so many lower cost options The Tech Academy can get quite expensive. That being said, there are so many lower cost options that you may dip your toe into the pool of software development but The Tech Academy is really a one-stop shop if you are really serious about being a full-fledged developer. The learning provided an understanding of the fundamental concepts of coding, hands-on practice in the very structured online course with personal remote mentor as a starting point. My personal reflection on the full experience is that the more time and energy you spend on the online course, the faster you follow the fastpaced exciting tasks during the on-site boot camp. Taking a good 6 to 8 weeks for the online part will get you places with Python and SQL. Once the on-site boot camp starts, the excitement of the owners, organisation, teachers, and fellow students reaches boiling point. In warm Bali with an incredibly warm-hearted CodingNomads team, no time is needed to break ice nor bread. It is incredible how good of a connection is made with the other students, who in a majority are very likeminded and have similar aspiration for joining this boot camp. I have been thinking for a while how to best describe my experience at Integrify. While I have successfully completed the program and even found a job as a developer before completion I am not so sure if it is due to taking part in the program. While the career service was great and being able to speak to teaching assistants with any questions while working on assignments or own projects was very helpful. At the same time my main issues were with the level of teaching and the level and dedication to the course by some of the other students. The program was advertised as intense fulltime course with students required to have some minimum knowledge in html, css and JavaScript. During my time several students were still working full time and attending the course parttime and we had several students that had no idea of even the most basic concepts. This lead to slowing the entire class down. Deadlines for assignments were continuously extended or not completed at all by some students. Many of the classes were not properly prepared and we had to endure instructors that might be good developers but not meant to be teachers. Many students had to rely on paid courses on Udemy, scrimba or else to grasp the concepts that we were supposed to be taught in the program. For those further ahead of the curve there was a lot of time spent waiting and coming up with own ways to learn and apply concepts to own projects. When the main instructor left during the course we were basically on our own for 5 weeks and nothing happened until the AWS lectures which were about as engaging as watching paint dry. The best part was our student organized meetings where we helped each other out with problems and understanding any concepts that were not properly explained during lectures. Overall, I can say that I learned a lot, had the opportunity to spent several months fully dedicated to coding, learning and building my own projects. Helping fellow students and getting their help was close to a real developer work experience, as was the opportunity to jump on calls with the instructor and teaching assistants for feedback or help. Just like having a senior dev to ask. But the main reason I was successful with getting a job was because of being 100% dedicated to studying and coding and I feel that I could have gotten the same end result without the program and without spending a significant amount of money on it. Why I still rate the experience as beneficial is because I would not have been as dedicated without having the structure of a course like this and the interaction with other motivated students.
