I joined the bootcamp with no background in coding, I went from not knowing how to run a single line of code to being able to handle data from large workbooks in 6 months, with a full time job! The lecture videos were very insightful and introduced the concepts in a way that accommodated people from any academic background. I personally studied Accounting and the most exposure I had to information systems was using excel and so these other programming languages were foreign to me. Today, I have been able to restructure most of my workflows in my role, using SQL and Python, which has increased my capacity to perform optimally at work. 

With regards to the support from tutors, they are very responsive to questions posed to them and ensure that the student understands whatever concepts they have an issue with. This was very important to me as I needed assistance with understanding the work. They are also very efficient with marking submissions. They provide feedback timeously so that you know where to improve on. Even in their feedback, they are very constructive. It is sometimes easy to feel demotivated, especially when studying something completely new. The approach they follow when a submission needs to re-done is, they start off with pointing out what you did well and this helps boost one's confidence. 

I had an incredible experience and very soon, I will be enrolling for the Software Engineering + Artificial Intelligence bootcamp!

 When I enrolled in my cyber security bootcamp, I was starting from ground zero. The most I knew about computers was simply turning it off and then on, and the closest I got to cyber security was the movie 'Hackers'. But nonetheless, I was beyond excited. I knew it was the first step to changing my life for the better. And I trusted the source since it came from my university. Fast forwarding three months later, I'm able to look at certain systems and analyze them in my head! I'll point things out in reference to my lessons and I'll run to my family when I've learned how to do something like a child showing off a new drawing. The support was immaculate too! Any time I had an issue, I received assistance within a day. If I had to go back in time, I would still choose to enroll!

I recently completed a course with HyperionDev, and it was a solid experience overall. The one-on-one mentor calls were also really helpful, especially when I was stuck. That said, it definitely depends on you as well — how you take the feedback and whether you’re willing to put in the effort to learn.There were a few moments where instructions could’ve been clearer, but nothing that couldn’t be figured out with some persistence.Overall, I’d recommend it if you’re serious about learning and willing to stay consistent.

As someone with absolutely no prior coding experience, I was nervous about starting a coding course. But my experience with HyperionDev has been nothing but patient, friendly, and incredibly supportive from day one.

Whenever I hit a problem (which happened often as a beginner!), I could simply book a call with my tutor. They were always on time sometimes even early for our live sessions. That reliability made a huge difference when I was feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

The weekly scheduled classes were shared well ahead of time, which made it easy to plan my week around them. Every person assisting me from tutors to support staff genuinely wanted to help me get the best results and fully understand each concept before moving on.

Yes, it was stressful at times, especially fitting everything into a short time frame. But HyperionDev was right there with me through every challenge, making sure I never felt alone in my learning journey. This bootcamp has done a lot for me in terms of understanding the basics of python and programming logic by solving different problems involving different topics of python and how they can be integrated and used to create functional programs that run to take input and produce output and can be used through the world around us. understanding the concepts of python is fundamental to being able to look at problems, diagnose them, come up with concepts and solve these problems that are required to be solved. through frameworks like Django and Database Languages like SQL, you are able to build applications that are useful and add value to society. other concepts like HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) and CSS (Cascade Stylesheets) to help create static websites also help, Git and Github helps developers deploy and upload folders of code remotely so it can be retrieved by other developers, software management concepts like DevOps and Agile Development were also taught to help students to be able to understand the process of (CI/CD) Continuous Intergration and Continuous Deployment. Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts are taught in the course/bootcamp which allow Large Language Models which helped me under the conceptually how Artificial Intelligence applications are created. Plenty of other things I could mention but I'll stop here but overall amazing course!!!

Hyperion dev has provided me with a great experience overall. From the course content that takes a step by step approach in guiding me from one stack/technology to another to the mentors that do their best to help in all situations where I was stuck and the reviewers who explain the problems they find in my code, apon submission, which makes it easier for me to fix. It truly has been a Rollercoaster but very much worth it 

I love how well structured this bootcamp is. I thought that I would be thrown in the deep end by not knowing anything about coding or data science but upon starting this bootcamp I saw how easy HyperionDev makes it for you to learn by providing you with sufficient course materials as well as videos which really helps. They also show when you’re falling behind by displaying your progress, in this way, if you’re a part time student like me, you could easily plan around your bootcamp and your job. HyperionDev is also very swift with responding to queries. Mentor support is very helpful when you’re stuck with something. Would 100% recommend HyperionDev if you’re looking to coding and related fields.

HyperionDev helped me to integrate and apply a lot of skills in Full-Stack Web Development in a short space of time. I really appreciated the feedback I received from my mentors for each individual task: it helped me to pay attention to skills/areas that were lacking in my codebase, therefore making the quality of my code on par with professional coders.

What an amazing journey! The course was well-paced, with a gradual learning curve, that taught me to be resourceful, resilient and focused. The course covers real-world examples that can be applied to many industries, using in-demand technology and methods. From the onboarding staff [Lindy Mellem] to the support staff [Warrick, Nurhaan, Lizobuya and Jodi] to the reviewers [Jason, Chad, Ronny, Moipati, Brandon, Gwinyai, Seraaj, and Jessica] - hats off to you all. I look forward to joining the alumni and lifelong endeavour in the world of web technology and development. 

So, I completed the "University of Edinburgh Full Stack Web Development Bootcamp" and finished with the "top ranking" in my cohort.



The TL;DR is: Look elsewhere. I don't recommend this bootcamp at all. The materials are no better (mostly worse) than free resources, and their "employer partners" are nonexistent. I can see why the University of Edinburgh had virtually nothing to do with this.



For context, this course is split into two parts: the 3-month bootcamp and a subsequent 3-month "graduate scheme."



For the bootcamp:
As many here have already mentioned, the learning boils down to a bunch of PDFs. Each one has a task to complete. Considering this is an expensive course (I paid £7500 back in March), and being a company of Web Developers and Software Engineers, you'd think they'd put together something smarter than PDFs in a Dropbox. But, here we are—a sign of the quality to expect. In the early parts of the course, there's an accompanying video for each task to explain each topic. These were actually quite good, but as you progress deeper into the bootcamp and the topics get more complex, there are fewer videos, and their quality diminishes. It's no surprise, as many have noted, that they struggle to complete the bootcamp on time. I found that by the last third of the bootcamp, the materials were virtually useless. I relied on YouTube and W3Schools to learn how to complete the tasks. Having paid this amount of money to end up using free resources didn't feel right. All the course materials direct you to join the Discord for support, which I couldn't access since they'd shut it down. (I only learned recently from other reviews that it was because they couldn't manage the influx of complaints from students). I managed to finish the bootcamp on time, but only just, and worked long hours to do so. As I mentioned earlier, I finished rank 1 in my course of supposedly 100+ people. However, on the "weekly leaderboard," I only ever saw three other people making any progress.



Regardless, I thought maybe the value lies in the graduate scheme and access to Hyperion's "employer partners."



For the graduate scheme:
The tasks here were all career-related: polish up your CV, update your LinkedIn/GitHub, complete a technical interview, etc. The guidance was useful and accurate, but hardly seemed worth the price I'd paid. For comparison, PurpleCV's most expensive package is only £215 and they'd do all of that for you. I completed all tasks with 100% feedback and joined the graduate Discord group, unsurprisingly, it's basically dead with fewer than 300 members (including staff). Anecdotally, browsing through LinkedIn, I've seen others posting about finishing their courses and ranking high in their cohorts out of 100-600 people per cohort. I've counted up to about 3,000 people in total, so I'd estimate that less than 10% actually graduate from a HyperionDev bootcamp. Given my accomplishments, I thought I'd be a prime candidate for their employer partners. Yet, it's been three months with no news. They've mentioned a slowdown in tech and the summer quietness as reasons. Their advice? Apply for jobs and contact recruiters (amazing advice?! it's not like I was already doing that). I have recently found work as a web developer, but not through HyperionDev.



In conclusion, look elsewhere. There are much cheaper bootcamps offering accreditations, and free resources are somehow better than what HyperionDev provides. The career support is basic at best. If you need help with your CV/LinkedIn, there are many services ranging from £50-£200+ that can enhance your profile and "findability" for recruiter algorithms. The touted "employer partners" is a sham. I have no idea about the connection with the University of Edinburgh; it seems they were only leveraging the university's name for marketing purposes. (PS. I've noticed this has now changed to ICL, and I doubt they're affiliated with HyperionDev in any meaningful way either). I'm have no idea about the source of the positive reviews; some don't even make sense. I'd advise caution when reading them since I have not had even close to the same experience.

HyperionDev Full Stack development is incomparable to any other online learning experience I have been exposed to so far. 
The course materials is solid and covers alot of current and relavent development technologies. 
The project structure is well planned and well placed to suite me working a full time job.
The support structure and instructors are attentive, knowledgeable and always eager to help solve any problem. 

I recommend this course withbthe fullest of confidence.

Recently graduated from the Online Full Stack Web Development course. After completing the course, I feel that I've learned an incredible amount and am fluent in HTML, Javascript, and CSS as well as React.


Overall, there were a few problems with the course. The way that it works is you have access to folders containing PDFs which you read and complete tasks, for which you need to do additional research which is fine. There are also some video lectures, which are helpful during the first section (basics) but as you progress through the course there are fewer of them and they become less useful / out of date. I found that the course PDFs were often out of date and missing key steps for how to create the apps that they required to pass the course. All they need to do is update the course materials, which is what we pay for. This caused a lot of stress and is unacceptable for a course for which you pay thousands of UK £'s. 


One word of warning is that the time frame they give you for earlier tasks are very reasonable, but towards the end they become near impossible. The final suggested time frame occurs AFTER the end of support, which is concerning. This seriously needs reviewing because from the discord forum it looks like this happened to a few people, and some has to pay to get extension to their support. Hyperion need to review this. My advice is get two weeks ahead of this timeline before you get into the last month - you'll need it.
I did have calls with Mentors on a couple of occasions and they were useful in talking you through how to complete tasks. One mentor even took my task away and sent it back to me a day later with suggestions which was very helpful.
On two occasions I requested help through the ticketing system (once because the course materials mentioned additional reading which hadn't been provided, and once because one of my tasks was reviewed incorrectly) and received no help at all. I just gave up asking for help via the ticketing system.
I didn't do the course with University accreditation but I would be interested to hear if the level of support was better if you did the University accredited version of the course. I suspect if not, then universities might distance themselves from Hyperion.

Overall, it didn't meet expectations and is overpriced considering the level of support given.

The support system has been really helpful if i can say ,and they always responded really quickly. whenever I needed help they were always available and ready to help , and their aim was to see me succeed during the boot-camp , when I was falling behind they always sent messages asking what was wrong and in what way they can assist me , they provided me with technical support regarding my school work and also non technical support . I have to say that their services are one of the best services. They went so far as  providing me with someone  to talk to , regarding why I was falling behind and he could give me advice on how to keep on track.

I am completing my Software Engineering bootcamp on HyperionDev as a part-time student.
The curriculum is very apt for the industry and up to date with current practices.
As a student with 3 years of programming experience, i found the early content very basic and suitable for newbies. However, the tasks in the later stages did challenge my skills and i learned new and interesting concepts.

I am especially grateful to the mentors, who i contacted remotely, that were patient and helpful through my struggles. I also appreciated the time taken to mark my tasks and the valuable feedback i received.

On the other hand, i found it particularly frustrating when i attempted to call the office and seek support as not many consultants were available. Nevertheless, i did find satisfaction when i requested support via the online form and email.
