This course was taken during the pandemic so it was mostly done online. There was an option to go in the classroom but it was the middle of winter and leaving the house didn't seem as appealing. All of the instructors were great. They did a good job of explaining the concepts and helping you if you needed it. You will not be spoon-fed information. There is a level of expectation for you to put in some work so be prepared to spend some of your own time to figure things out. Make sure you go into the program with a good basic foundation (html, css, javascript). We had a really good group within my cohort. Everyone was helpful and wanted to be better. I enjoyed my time at Launch Academy and will never forget the experience.School of Code

There is an infinite amount of information on the web and no clear path on where to begin. I chose the University of Utah Full Stack Web Development bootcamp based on the reviews and career services support offered.
This bootcamp proved to be invaluable to my growth as a web developer. The amount of support offered is incredible, from the instructors, TA's, tutors and 24/7 Ask BCS learning assistants. You never feel like you are going at it alone. Learning how to code is hard, sometimes very hard. However, the support that the bootcamp offers, in addition to learning along with your classmates is great!
I would recommend this bootcamp to anyone who needs structure and direction. It is rigorous so be prepared to spend 20-30+ hours per week outside of class learning. And understand that the learning doesn't stop when you graduate.
The majority of the course is Javascript so I would recommend using Udemy or Youtube to teach yourself the basics of Javascript before the class begins. I think that doing so will greatly supplement your learning as you go through the course. - 44Reviews12CoursesThePower Education is an online tech platform offering a 36-week, part-time full stack coding bootcamp, RockTheCode. For the past 3 years cybersecurity has sparked my interest, so I decided to take the leap and enroll in UNC-Charlotte's cybersecurity bootcamp. Let me also prefaHello review seeker, I just finished DevLeague a couple weeks ago… be prepared for a long but genuine review of Hawaii’s only coding bootcamp. Let me also preface this review by stating that other than knowing a bit of HTML / CSS, I have absolutely no coding knowledge or experience.
Before enrolling myself in their immersive full-time program, like you and many others… I did my research and tried to find any review or resource I could get my hands on about this school. When I stumbled upon CourseReport and saw all their 5 star reviews, the cynic in me couldn’t believe this boot camp (let alone one all the way in Hawaii) could achieve so many positive reviews, so naturally I assumed most were fake. It wasn’t until I personally met (or saw around school) a lot of these “rando” names that were being used on CourseReport, did in fact belong to actual people and these are genuine reviews from real DevLeague alumni.
Taking the plunge with DevLeague as my sidekick was a huge risk for me as I was working full-time in a non-tech job but one of the major deciding factors in choosing this coding bootcamp was the fact that I would be able to make this big career switch in just a few short months and I didn’t have to step foot out of Hawaii.
Being the premature baby dev that I was with no coding background, I enrolled in their JavaScript prep course so I could gain enough knowledge to submit my coding challenge entry. Vic was our main instructor during the 4-week prep course and he was (and still remains) one of my favorite people I’ve met through DevLeague. It’s hard to say *favorite* because honestly, pretty much everyone at DevLeague was awesome and I’m really glad to be a part of this community.
I remember when I first started attending prep class, I was really shocked (but impressed) with the sense of support and community from everyone at DL. Previous graduates would come back to help out or various alumni popped in to give some advice, even students from other classes would stop by to see how we were doing. Needless to say, I really felt the support system there and it’s obvious it trickled down from the top.
I wouldn’t be sitting here today, a DL graduate, if it weren’t for the help and support from Russel and Jason. I can’t count how many emails were passed between Russel and I before I started DevLeague. He was incredibly responsive and resourceful especially when I was going through the process to apply for scholarship, which I was generously awarded. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity they’ve given me.
It’s clearly impossible for me to write a shorter review, especially on something that has had such a big impact, but I’ll try to summarize my experience of the actual bootcamp program:
If you’re looking at the full-time program of 11 hour days, 6 days a week… it seems long, yes, but honestly it passes by pretty quickly especially since you’re jamming on code 70% of the time. My other classmates have the same view as me in this regard.
It’s extremely challenging. I felt so overloaded with information at times that I barely felt like I actually retained anything. That led to me asking myself “Did I make the right decision going through this program?” or “Maybe I’m not meant to be a developer?”
In the beginning, I felt like nothing made sense and it wasn’t until towards the tail end of bootcamp that the pieces started coming together to form a whole picture.
The curriculum is well thought out, projects on point for the topic and I enjoyed the humor in the slideshows. The readme docs are at times confusing (probably getting us used to reading real docs, lol) and some needed updates.
In the end, I wholeheartedly join in and agree with the others in saying “It was the best decision I made” career-wise and if you’re on fence about taking the course or want to ask me for more details about my experience, I’ll be more than happy to answer them for you… shoot me an email jennahscriptAToutlookDOTcom

I wanted a career change I’ve always been a tech person at heart, breaking things down and putting them back together. I wanted to take the risk and go into a bootcamp and being a local looked at all other options but ended up taking this one and I do not regret it. My instructors have been nothing but amazing! From the first day I felt the energy of the virtual room and took in the guidance he had for us, I have spent a lot of time learning this is not easy by any means. What I suggest is having an accountability partner so you can stay on track with your goals you do not want to fall behind. What I enjoyed is when things finally clicked! My instructor emphasized don't focus on the grades focus on the material make sure you understand it instead of chasing the grade and not understanding what you did. I am currently 3 months in and 3 months to go i definitely recommend this if you’re willing to put in the work and have a great experience here I’ve made friends here that will be my best buddies for years to come. I had tried a few things in data science and tried to self-learn but I realized quickly that the initial learning curve in this was really steep. I have heard people use the phrase for data science - "It's easy, It's not Rocket science", but having studied rocket science as well, i found out that data science was not easy.
Browsing through hundreds of online courses and trying to learn from thousands of resources I was overwhelmed by the ever-changing and ever upgrading field of Data Science.
I needed some structure and a beginners level course which was a challenge to find.
I came across the data science course offered by Ubiqum and decided to enroll in it.
Their “learn by doing”methodology really focused on the practical aspects of data science which helped in greatly reducing the steep initial learning curve. Having said about the practical aspects, theoretical aspects are not forgotten either and the mentors discuss all the theory before, during and after every task.
The projects are designed in such a way that the difficulty levels up with every subsequent project and this helped me build up a very strong base.
I now have completed many projects at Ubiqum and ventured deep into the domain of data science and I would like to thank Ubiqum to provide me with the catapult which helped me launch myself into a career in data science. Coders Lab

Throughout the 24 weeks this bootcamp lasted, I had doubts on whether I would be able to complete it. I can say after that 24th week, I am glad I sticked to it.Throughout the 24 weeks this bootcamp lasted, I had doubts on whether I would be able to complete it. I was interested in finding a new career path since I dropped out of college after my first year. I was studying computer science and it just was not fit for me. I started looking into cybersecurity more and was very interested in all the different paths you could follow. Through my employer, I looked at bootcamps they provided and found this cybersecurity bootcamp through the University of Minnesota. I read what the journey through the 24 week course looks like, and I decided to jump in for the long haul. My experience with this bootcamp was beyond phenomenal. From the instructor to the TA's, you could really tell they wanted every single student to succeed. I could tell it was just as hard for them as it was for us students, but the passion they poured into this course was amazing. One of my favorite aspects of this program was working with my peers to complete projects. It was awesome to see how easy it was to work with them and how friendly everyone was. If I had to give advice to future students, I would recommend to make connections in your class and work with each other, whether it's on the weekly assignments, or if it is on the projects you have to complete. Having those connections will improve your quality of life during this bootcamp, and can also be helpful after you finish. I will miss this bootcamp, it was a great course and taught me tons of information. - 37Reviews1CourseCultivating Coders is an Albuquerque-based intensive 8-week coding bootcamp focused on web application development fundamentals and technical training. Starting with foundational knowledge and slowly (kind of) scaling into more advanced material, everything in this course flowed very well. We learned HTML, CSS, SCSS, Node.js, Vue.js, C#, MySQL, Agile Methodology, MVC pattern and so much more.
On top of all the topics, without me even noticing at first they also taught us how to code in a clean way and use a lot of best practices. Boise Codeworks doesn't just teach you how to code, it prepares you for your future career. I can't recommend this program enough! Tecky Academy

It's really hard and I can say pain as I have no experience in IT but after I have done what I want to create the project it's hard to just use word to describe how excited. While there was an immense amount of material covered, it was done in a very methodical way -- covering the basics of how to think like a computer programmer, as well as running through the fundamental technologies of web development as it currently stands, in an intuitive order that would build on prior units of material. This doesn't go into immense detail for any one technology (not enough time), but it gives you the groundwork upon which to build your technical skills, and links you to a supportive network which will help you build the other (non-technical) pieces of being an attractive job candidate.
Our instructional team was an excellent combination of personalities, both extremely generous with their time and patience. I would take a class with these two (or either one) again if I was looking to.
Make sure you have enough free time carved out (like 20-40 hours a week) so you both don't get too far behind or psychologically 'lose it'! This is an extremely intense 24-week class -- but if you're willing to put the time in -- even if you don't fully 'get it' yet -- you will pass the class. The good news is this isn't graded like a 'weed out' class -- they want you to succeed and they know it takes a while before you're actually 'good' at coding. As long as you submit enough assignments, participate in the three big projects, and attend enough classes, you will pass, even if you aren't fully grasping what is going on. With time and more practice, you will eventually grasp it -- thinking in this particular way is very difficult, thus takes a lot of time for it to become 'easy' -- no wonder it pays well!
