The course material can be improved but this is something that Metana says they are working on. I still haven't started my job search yet but it seems promising given Metana's job placement rate. I’m about to finish the Metana Full-Stack Bootcamp, and it’s been a truly transformative experience. The curriculum gave me hands-on expertise in JavaScript, React, Node.js, Express, and practical experience with PostgreSQL. I learned to build RESTful APIs, implement authentication and authorization, and deploy full-stack applications.



Personalized support was a standout—my instructor, Aaron Emmanuel, offered 1-on-1 sessions that helped me overcome challenges and refine my coding skills. The live lectures were interactive and engaging, and office hours provided a great space to discuss ideas, get feedback, and connect with peers.



My favorite part was building a mood-based to-do app, several React projects, and my own portfolio site with React and Node.js. These projects gave me real hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end development, API integration, and deployment. By the end, I have a portfolio I’m proud to share.



Overall, it was a fantastic learning experience, and I truly feel like I’ve found my calling in software engineering. I joined Metana back in February 2023 to level up my Blockchain skills, I had some basic knowledge of Solidity + proficient in Javascript, but after putting in around 20 hours a week for 3-4 months(you may require discipline), I've gained a ton of skills. Plus, I've had the chance to meet some amazing people, like the Metana team and the other students. In fact, I'm even working on projects with one of the Metana students right now.

Metana brings you all the structure and resources to be able to go from beginner/medium to advanced regarding Solidity and Blockchain.

Benefits from Metana(in my opinion):

• Weekly meetings: office hours with other students & instructor, + 1:1 meetings with the instructor. It was a great opportunity to discuss and learn together.
• Structure & Resources: The structures and resources provided by Metana were top-notch. They really knew how to guide us through the learning journey and make everything easily understandable.
• Relevant topics: They covered all the important topics that matter in Solidity and Blockchain interaction. (ERC20, ERC721, ERC1155, EIP1159, Hardhat, testing, Ethereum RPC calls, signatures, OpenZeppelin, Uniswap, Oracles, and so much more)
• Developer experience: The "customer service" from the Metana team was exceptional. They were always quick to respond and helped me with any issues or doubts I had along the way. It made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.
• Networking: They are constantly publishing hackathons and relevant events, also you get the chance to meet other students and forge meaningful relationships. You can collaborate with them on the capstone project or team up for hackathons, opening doors to new opportunities and shared experiences.

NOTE: One thing I really appreciate is that Metana added another instructor to their team. This gives you the flexibility to choose the instructor that best aligns with your learning style and preferences. + I also got a job for DevRel in web3 even before finishing Metana bootcamp.

Got scammed $7,000 by Metana’s Blockchain Bootcamp

I cannot recommend Metana to anyone, I have reffered to few connections from LinkedIn connection during looking at job guarantee policy. 

I paid approx $7,000 for this program expecting quality mentorship, but the instructor was completely unable to provide the necessary assistance. I was left waiting for over six months just to get fixed one bug, had no desire to help students, which completely stalled my progress and caused immense personal stress.When I requested a refund due to their failure to deliver adequate educational support, they repeatedly denied it. They used a strict 6-month completion policy against me. They are completely ignoring the fact that their own instructor caused the massive delays, and that I had formally notified them of personal absences due to urgent concerns and was overseas but they made a reason to disqualify from refund policy. I was also been told that I got employment so I did not qualify but that employment was unpaid, how that make any sense if they promise for minimum 50000$usd. 

I’m still taking stress about that money which takes year to save for students and always regret joining Metana.

They are quick to take your hard-earned money but fail to provide the basic support required to finish the course. Save your $7,000 and look elsewhere for a bootcamp that actually cares about student success and consumer rights.
