I have enrolled in Metana's Full Stack Bootcamp course. I am still about to graduate but so far the experience has been great. My instructor Aaron Emanuel has been very supportive and helpful. The course material can be improved but this is something that Metana says they are working on. I still haven't started my job search yet but it seems promising given Metana's job placement rate.

Para ser sincero no me esperaba mucho, claramente me esperaba aprender pero no de esta forma y a esta rapidez. Tengo que decir que los profesores tienen bien pensado la manera en la que explican y los horarios que toman para dar clases y dejarte hacer ejercicios. A través del Bootcamp aprendes mucho más que solo la base ya que aprendes conceptos que te ayudan en el futuro si quieres aprender tecnologías nuevas por tu cuenta. Lo recomiendo a cualquier persona que tenga una base en programación y tecnología en si pero si no la tienes no es nada malo pero si que te costará más esfuerzo y más tiempo. Le doy un 8/10 de mi perspectiva pero ahora que en 2024 van a agregar el módulo de React le subiría a 9/10. Vale totalmente la pena si quieres un cambio a tu carrera. En mi caso encontré trabajo en menos de 30 días después de graduarme.

Hello review seeker, I just finished DevLeague a couple weeks ago… be prepared for a long but genuine review of Hawaii’s only coding bootcamp. Let me also preface this review by stating that other than knowing a bit of HTML / CSS, I have absolutely no coding knowledge or experience. Before enrolling myself in their immersive full-time program, like you and many others… I did my research and tried to find any review or resource I could get my hands on about this school. When I stumbled upon CourseReport and saw all their 5 star reviews, the cynic in me couldn’t believe this boot camp (let alone one all the way in Hawaii) could achieve so many positive reviews, so naturally I assumed most were fake. It wasn’t until I personally met (or saw around school) a lot of these “rando” names that were being used on CourseReport, did in fact belong to actual people and these are genuine reviews from real DevLeague alumni. Taking the plunge with DevLeague as my sidekick was a huge risk for me as I was working full-time in a non-tech job but one of the major deciding factors in choosing this coding bootcamp was the fact that I would be able to make this big career switch in just a few short months and I didn’t have to step foot out of Hawaii. Being the premature baby dev that I was with no coding background, I enrolled in their JavaScript prep course so I could gain enough knowledge to submit my coding challenge entry. Vic was our main instructor during the 4-week prep course and he was (and still remains) one of my favorite people I’ve met through DevLeague. It’s hard to say *favorite* because honestly, pretty much everyone at DevLeague was awesome and I’m really glad to be a part of this community. I remember when I first started attending prep class, I was really shocked (but impressed) with the sense of support and community from everyone at DL. Previous graduates would come back to help out or various alumni popped in to give some advice, even students from other classes would stop by to see how we were doing. Needless to say, I really felt the support system there and it’s obvious it trickled down from the top. I wouldn’t be sitting here today, a DL graduate, if it weren’t for the help and support from Russel and Jason. I can’t count how many emails were passed between Russel and I before I started DevLeague. He was incredibly responsive and resourceful especially when I was going through the process to apply for scholarship, which I was generously awarded. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity they’ve given me. It’s clearly impossible for me to write a shorter review, especially on something that has had such a big impact, but I’ll try to summarize my experience of the actual bootcamp program: If you’re looking at the full-time program of 11 hour days, 6 days a week… it seems long, yes, but honestly it passes by pretty quickly especially since you’re jamming on code 70% of the time. My other classmates have the same view as me in this regard. It’s extremely challenging. I felt so overloaded with information at times that I barely felt like I actually retained anything. That led to me asking myself “Did I make the right decision going through this program?” or “Maybe I’m not meant to be a developer?” In the beginning, I felt like nothing made sense and it wasn’t until towards the tail end of bootcamp that the pieces started coming together to form a whole picture. The curriculum is well thought out, projects on point for the topic and I enjoyed the humor in the slideshows. The readme docs are at times confusing (probably getting us used to reading real docs, lol) and some needed updates. In the end, I wholeheartedly join in and agree with the others in saying “It was the best decision I made” career-wise and if you’re on fence about taking the course or want to ask me for more details about my experience, I’ll be more than happy to answer them for you… shoot me an email jennahscriptAToutlookDOTcom

I graduated jan 2024 and I can say with 100% confidence that I was lured in with false promises of job placement assistance right out of graduation. The program itself was less the mediocre, the instructors are all former students and their understanding of the material is cookie cut and strictly based on "how they did their project". Ask them what a binary tree is, ask them what polymorphism is, ask them what abstraction is, ask them what the law of detmeter is, ask them a question about anything relating to the foundations of software engineering that isnt strictly covered in the reading you are provided and you will get dazzled with bs, or deer in the headlights looks.. The first time my eyebrows were raised was when I heard an instructor boast conversationally about "how hard it was learning about the area of a binary tree". I happen to have a degree in software engineering and I happened to know that there was no such thing that existed. I tried to verify if they meant the diameter of a binary tree and they got visibly annoyed that I would question them and doubled down on their claim. To this day I have no idea what the heck the area of a binary tree is, and neither do the software engineers I graduated with.. They were not aware of my education at that time, but I had just began to become fully aware of their ignorance. After supposedly being one of the top performers that has ever gone through that program (Which by the way is subjective as I was told I was given a 99% on an assignment instead of the 100% I deserved because "they wanted me to work harder"), they ignored my request for a letter of recommendation without an explanation, and upon graduation I was told I would be using a job board with outdated job postings and meet with someone for 30 mins once a week to see how my job search was going. There is no job placement assistance, there is nothing that I saw backing their "Codeboxx for life" promise. Its all recruitment talk and its is, in my opinion, all lies. What really got me worked up is that I requested a letter of recommendation about 2 months prior to graduation while I was working my butt off and "doing very well" so that I could try to get a job lined up, and it went fully ignored. Then upon graduation I am immediately contacted and asked if I can be showcased as a success story to promote codeboxx.. Are you kidding? What in thee narcissistic heck is that?? A success story? Really? Your job placement advertising is a lie. You wouldnt even help me on my job search with a LOR after boasting of how well I was doing.. I couldn't believe my ears, the audacity! This place is a scam, you will be expected to go through the material that you will get little to no assistance with, and will basically end up teaching yourself. Upon graduation, all you have to look forward to is a job board with outdated job posting. This is a waste of time, effort, and energy. You could literally learn the same material, with adequate instruction, using udemy. Heck, go to community college and get actual professors to teach you the same stuff, adequately, with an actual certificate to show for it, at a fraction of the price. (Edit: I just saw that they went back and changed the 90.2% job placement on their website to reflect graduates up until July 2023 because those figures are more like 0%-50% after that.)

I was working in a complete different field, but was always interested in coding. Before hearing about Ubiqum, I thought that this was only for engineers/computing experts. When I went to my first interview at Ubiqum they open my eyes and showed me that this is something for everyone that want to become a developer without any previous experience. What makes Ubiqum different is that it is the only bootcamp available in Barcelona for people with no previous experience in this field using the "Learning by doing" method. It is a full time course, from 9 to 17(Monday-Friday) that last 5 months. Overall in this 5 months you will go from 0 knowledge to obtaining the basics all developers need in the frontend and backend area. Even though, you will have dedicated mentors supporting you throughout the entire course, they won't give you all the answers; instead they will guide you so you can look for the answers yourself which is what true developers do and what will be require in any company you join. Without a doubt I will 100% recommend Ubiqum for anyone that wants to learn and join this crazy world of coding.

I couldn't get placed for a software development job out of this program. I tried until my money ran out and I had to take a job in the construction field. I still had to pay for the course, which wasn't exactly the understanding I had going in. Wasted my time and money and would not do it again. No way.

I am very satisfied with the Tester course. The mentor conveys his knowledge very well and backs it up with examples from his years of professional experience. He was able to answer all my questions related to testing. Preparation for the exam was also at a high level. I do recommend it!

Embarking on my journey to break into the tech industry, I found myself drawn to Bay Valley Tech due to its unique proposition of offering a comprehensive coding education for free. The Frontend Bootcamp provided by Jagaad Academy is quite impressive as it has something for everyone despite their level of knowledge; they have a carefully designed curriculum that begins from the scratch and ends in advanced stages. The thing that distinguishes this program is its thorough explanation to ensure that it not only imparts knowledge but also helps individuals gain practical skills in frontline technology. Jagaad Academy is a one-stop shop for all your needs, whether you are new to web development or an experienced programmer who wants to learn more about HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and other programming languages used in modern front-end technologies. This methodology stresses applications and assignments instead of theoretical ideas which enable students not just understand but obtain abilities necessary for success in the field. To sum up, anyone requiring rich educational content about creating frontends should go for Jaggard Academy’s frontend bootcamp.

When deciding on which coding bootcamp there are several key factors when need to consider, and in this review, I will explain those key factors and how LEARN Academy proved to be the best professional educational decision for my goals. In-person vs. online: I started my LEARN Academy cohort in February 2020 and for better or worse was able to experience both the in-class and online (Zoom - remote) version of LEARN Academy as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In an ideal world, one should attend the in-person experience in order to further solidify friendships within your cohort, the teamwork aspect of being able to discuss code in-person with a whiteboard, and just the general fun of being able to walk around the classroom with a Kombucha in your hand and see what your peers are code. Nonetheless halfway through my bootcamp, we pivoted to remote and we didn’t skip a beat. I feel that all aspects of the curriculum were maintained and we were even able to quickly start utilizing important digital tools more heavily (Git, Slack, VS Code Liveshare) that are fundamental for remote dev work in the future anyway. Overall “in-person” I feel is ideal for learning, but LEARN was super successful in replicating the “in-person” experience online. Internship: The internship is a TREMENDOUS value add for choosing LEARN Academy. I had the opportunity to join a company and work alongside 5 developers at a fast-growing startup in San Diego (keep in mind I started to learn to code just 15 weeks prior). My internship was extended and I continued to work for 10 months at the same company gaining practical coding experience every day. I was hired as a contract worker with no benefits, but nonetheless, it was an invaluable experience to work on actual production code. The internship is guaranteed for 4 weeks but I would say ⅓ of my cohort was asked to extend for 1 or more months and they were also paid for their extensions and were able to put actual development work on their resumes. Tech Stack: The tech stack I learned while at learn was React, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Ruby on Rails, and Postgresql. All of these technologies are widely used today and if you are new to the industry they serve as a solid foundation to grow from. My internship was entirely in Vue but I used my React foundational skills I learned at LEARN to rapidly learn the basics of Vue (over the weekend from when my classroom experience ended and internship began the following Monday). Quality of teaching instruction: During my course, I had three daily instructors committed to my cohort ~6 to 1 student to teacher ratio (they pivot the number of instructors based on class size). All in all the teachers I had were able to meet me at my learning level and explain complex concepts into more easily digestible content. They were ALWAYS available to answer questions and held office hours. Like most things in life you get what you put in, so make sure you ask questions all the time and ASK for help when you need it. We also had an excellent Professional Development week, led by the Career Services Manager, and in addition, had access to other developers at several of the dev agencies that were in the same building. If my instructors didn’t immediately know the answer to my question or debug my problem they were able to get back to me with my answer in a timely manner. In addition, we had various guest speakers and panels (from the SD tech scene) which made class each week super interesting. Prep Materials: The best resource that LEARN offers in terms of preparation for the bootcamp is their JumpStart weekend. I highly highly highly recommend you participate in that weekend as that was the defining experience that made me decide whether I liked to code and whether I had the confidence in myself to pick up skills quickly over a short period of time. I went into my cohort with about 2 weeks of prior Javascript training and the JumpStart weekend but it was really not enough. I highly recommend people begin studying at least 3 months prior to your cohort (I fully realize that is easier said than done, with life and work, but anyone who came in with prior coding knowledge in my cohort accelerated their learning 2x-5x compared to myself who just wrote my first line of code 14 days before my first day of class.) Facilities: LEARN Academy classroom was GORGEOUS in Union Co-work near Petco Park in downtown SD. Unfortunately, I could only attend for 8 weeks due to COVID but the surrounding made you feel like a true web developer in the chic industrial glass-lined classroom. Also the free Kombucha, coffee, tea, and beer (after hours) wasn’t too bad! They also have two main classrooms so we were frequently able to do check-out (sharing what you learned) at the end of the day and learn what the other cohort who started before us was working on that day. Community: The LEARN Academy Community is the most vibrant tech career pivoter/bootcamp community in San Diego hands-down. Pre-COVID LEARN held bi-monthly meetups in its classrooms, celebratory cohort get-togethers, project demo days, and evening guest speakers. Now the community of course has shifted remote, but the online Slack community is also super active. On Day 1 you are welcomed into the Slack group and tons of people who were in your shoes starting the bootcamp who now have fancy developer jobs in the San Diego area (and beyond) are willing to help answer your questions and refer you to positions. Once you are a LEARN alum you enter a network of tech leaders at major tech companies throughout San Diego/California and beyond. One additional thing (which I think they still do), is if you want they pair you with another LEARN grad to serve as your Mentor. To this day (Jan 2021) I still meet with my Mentor each week and he has been an invaluable resource post bootcamp for skill development, motivation, and job search help.. Growth Areas for LEARN: 1) Improvements to my experience include a more clear path of what milestones I needed to achieve in my coding skills before being ready for Day 1 of the bootcamp. I was provided resources but had no idea where to start. I believe that they are now offering propriety prep materials to new students (I just haven’t reviewed them as they were not available to me when I started) 2)Focus more curriculum time on unit testing. We learned Jest Javascript testing (for maybe 1.5 weeks) I feel like it is a critical developer skill that I personally did not pick up quickly and should be prioritized earlier. 3)Introduce earlier data structures and algorithms into the curriculum, as many technical interviews nowadays focus heavily on them. Overall at the end of the day with 12 weeks to go from 0 to junior dev I understand it is tough to squeeze it all in, regardless LOTS of personal self-study is necessary to keep up with the pace of the class if you come in with no prior coding skills. Overall, there are plenty more points to speak about when speaking about LEARN but at the end of the day after three months of classroom instruction, I was successfully contributing to an agile development team at a tech company in San Diego. The process to prepare for the bootcamp, take the bootcamp, and perform at your internship is INTENSE. The skills to learn to code is like learning a foreign language you constantly need to have a growth mindset and practice, practice, practice. 10 months after my bootcamp I am still growing and learning each day and that never changes. You must have it within yourself to persevere, be a self-starter, and make many many many personal, financial, and family sacrifices to have a chance at getting a junior developer position in 2021. With that being said LEARN is the most well-rounded and experienced resource available in the San Diego area to place your faith in to prepare you for a successful life-changing career pivot.

Participating in this program was an amazingly rewarding experince. The pace intense and challenging, but the handy-on projects and support from the mentors and community make a huge diffrence. The are no limits to creativity. I gained a lot of practical knowledge and can highly recommend the MSIT hackathon to everyone. I particularly enjoyed the intensive work with Git and the morning kick-offs. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank my team; it was a fantastic 72 hours filled with ideas, code, and surprisingly few merge conflicts =) Gladly again.

Everything about this boot camp is amazing. I implore anyone who wants to become a developer to give Coders Campus a shot!!! They will not disappoint. (I’ve been through other bootcamps which shall remain anonymous lol).

Code Labs Academy's bootcamp covers a wide range of topics essential to become a web developer. The instructors are engaged, friendly, and I feel like they could be teaching at a top university given how brilliant they are. Unlike top universities, this program is affordable, and I was able to learn web development and find a job in the field without getting in debt.

My experience at Boise Codeworks was amazing! Starting with foundational knowledge and slowly (kind of) scaling into more advanced material, everything in this course flowed very well. We learned HTML, CSS, SCSS, Node.js, Vue.js, C#, MySQL, Agile Methodology, MVC pattern and so much more. On top of all the topics, without me even noticing at first they also taught us how to code in a clean way and use a lot of best practices. Boise Codeworks doesn't just teach you how to code, it prepares you for your future career. I can't recommend this program enough!

First I just hear my friends just turn his career path to IT industry and I start to find some information about Tecky. After visited them and I decided to apply their course. It's really hard and I can say pain as I have no experience in IT but after I have done what I want to create the project it's hard to just use word to describe how excited. I find a job with not bad salary easily after graduation so I am thankful to have such chance.

I recently graduated from the Turn Up Bootcamp, and I will start by telling you that I could not imagine how much I would be learning there. In only two months, I learned more than enough to obtain the knowledge to get a great mark in the Associate Reactive Developer OutSystems Certification, and I gained project experience, both in a group and alone. Furthermore, I learned valuable skills besides OutSystems technologies, such as SQL and Data Structures and Algorithms. All the staff: trainers, HR, and coordination were always very helpful and very easy to talk to, enhancing the experience of the bootcamp! I am now really excited for the opportunities that will come with my new skillset!

The Instructor, Jason, was so helpful and patient with all of my questions. He made sure I understood everything clearly and made the course fun and interesting. He provided helpful tools for me to use to practice my skills. I would definitely recommend.

Я проходила обучение в кампусе в Москве с июня по сентябрь 2021 года. В буткемп я пришла совсем без бэкграунда, только сама пробовала что-то читать и заниматься - тщетно... Образование у меня было гуманитарное. Подготовилась к вступительному экзамену по предоставленным материалам за 1,5-2 недели. Подготовка помогает понять твое это или нет. Обучение очень интенсивное, голова работала 24/7, код даже снился. Экзамены каждые три недели. Но вокруг очень много людей которые поддержат: преподаватели, кураторы, помощники и все студенты. Комьюнити Эльбруса - любовь! С поиском работы очень помогает карьерная неделя. Все раскладывается по полочкам. За месяц поиска у меня было пять оферов.

Switching from teaching into the software engineering field was a daunting prospect but joining Parsity helped me transition smoothly. Like many others have said Parsity has great hands-on practical activities and experiences. You deeply learn the principles and apply them. The program is rigorous but if you do the work you will succeed. This program really sets you up to succeed as a software engineer. I gave four stars to job assistance because they are still growing in that aspect. The job talks they set up were hit or miss but they are growing in the right direction. Overall if you are looking to change your career Parsity can help you make that change!

IOC's immersive experience is great for those wanting to get stuck into the learning. The pre-course work was comprehensive and provided a great deal of knowledge for the actual camp. Being in this amazing villa space for 10 days surrounded by people with similar goals and under mentorship of amazing pros was definitely a key to the success! The mentors are very friendly and helpful and their 4:1 ratio meant I always had someone available to clear my questions, even after hours! I ended up gaining so much confidence not only on the coding aspect but also the business approach, which I think is invaluable for those looking to start a career in this industry! I ended up coding a crazy project in 10 days and the guidance of the IOC team was essential to my success!

I learnt so much in this course. As a career changer i wanted to learn full stack software development, get hands on experience and become career ready. This course helped me to achieve that. I am currently working as a junior software developer. This course helped me to be prepare for work in the industry. I got experience in all parts of software development lifecycle. I got support with my CV and interview which helped me to land my first role. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who is a career changer like myself or a career starter or looking to update their knowledge with the latest tech in software development. Important tips for new starters: - Make sure you read your course materials including the extra bits, - Prepare your questions before online classes (the teachers are very good with answering your questions and giving real life examples), - Learn how to research software issues (this course will teach you how to approach any error you could possibly have, basic principles, what steps to take, hugely important in career) - Finally make sure you enrol!

An excellent bootcamp that gave me the professional level full stack developer skills that I am now leveraging as a researcher, developer and instructor in a university context. The course covers everything from how to write efficient algorithms to MVC organization, from basic javascript functions to the React library and so much more. Be ready for an incredibly fast learning pace, long days and some long nights and weekends, too. The environment is excellent, very supportive, and you will come away with some skills that will last you a life time.
