The Tech Academy offers 5 full-time and part-time technology bootcamps Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; Denver, Colorado; Salt Lake City, Utah, and online. The bootcamps include a software development bootcamp, a data science bootcamp, a C# and .NET bootcamp, a Python bootcamp, and a web developer bootcamp. These boot camps cover topics including computer science fundamentals, programming basics, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, C#, Python, R, Bootstrap, jQuery, React.js, project management, Agile, Scrum, MVC, version control and more. Each bootcamp also includes a Live Project where students gain real-life experience to add to their resume, and job placement  assistance. The immersive experience aims to create well-rounded software developers, and also gives students the option to take the course at their own pace. There are also no set starts dates or rigid scheduling. Students can enroll at any time, study from anywhere and choose whatever study schedule they'd like.

To apply, applicants need to take an IQ test with logic-based questions (to ensure applicants can read, write and perform basic math), followed by an in-person or phone interview. None of The Tech Academy's bootcamps require any tech background or experience.

The final part of The Tech Academy course is the Job Placement Course which covers interviewing skills, resume writing, where to find tech jobs, and gives students access to job placement staff who assist students in landing technical positions. The Tech Academy also offers corporate training.

The Tech Academy is in partnership with Concordia University.

I wanted to break into the tech industry after graduating college but did not quite have enough experience or a portfolio to show employers. I shopped around the various available bootcamps quite a bit and landed on The Tech Academy primarily for its flexible, self-paced program and reasonable tuition. I was working full time with a non-standard work schedule so being able to complete the courses on not only a part time schedule but a schedule that I got to determine was extremely ideal.

All the curriculum is offered/accessed online for both local and remote students. Some people might think, "Why not do self study then? There are plenty of online tutorials and courses without a boot camp price." That's true, and some people are able to successfully learn through self study and get results, however it requires not only extreme self-discipline, but a great support network which is hard to come by for most. What I mean by that is a a network of people that can hold you accountable, review your work and offer feedback, and provide guidance. This is the value of a boot camp.

The staff at TTA truly are dedicated to the program and helping the students. They are all incredibly friendly and supportive. As it is a self-paced program, you progress through the coursework on your own and any time you have questions or need help the instructors are available to assist you. This also promotes developing the habit of first doing exhaustive research on your own to solve a problem then knowing when you need to ask for help. This is a habit of successful software developers and will be crucial as a junior developer working with and learning from senior developers. The school is staffed 7 days a week, 12 hours a day Monday through Friday. Remote students can call or skype in and speak with instructors.

On top of being available for assistance, a number of the instructors and staff are extremely engaged in the tech community and contribute to it outside of the school by hosting events, participating in local meetup groups, and volunteering. These people are committed to involving others in tech.

You can also receive weekly preparation for interviews. The staff does a great job providing guidance and practice in both soft skill and technical interview questions.

As for curriculum, TTA covers more technologies than most other boot camps. This has its pros and cons, as some will point out that by covering more topics you are spread thinner in each area instead of spending more time getting a deeper understanding on fewer topics. On the other hand, gaining skills in a slightly wider array of topics opens up more opportunities for employment and getting your foot in the door. I have a friend who completed a different boot camp and he said he seemed to find that knowing a couple more languages would have been the optimal route for getting hired. Once you have the fundamentals you can deepen your knowledge and specialize as you gain experience and find what you most enjoy. With courses covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Python, C# and ASP.NET MVC, TTA really does create well rounded software developers. My only wish was for some of the courses to cover front-end development with JS a bit more extensively.

Job placement is also great at TTA. The staff give you all the tools to help you succeed in your job search. They encourage you to start as early in the program as possible. By attending the TTAs many interview practice sessions as well as networking at tech meetups I was able to secure a job before the program ended. TTA guides you through your job search by ensuring your portfolio, resume, and LinkedIn are being presented as best as possible, hosting seminars on what employers are looking for, and bringing people in from companies looking to hire or people that may provide a good connection to job opportunities.

All in all, I would say TTA offers the best value of any boot camp due to its great staff and resources, flexible schedule, and breadth of languages

This was definitely one of the most interesting times of my life. The application process for the school was pretty seamless and easy to get started. However, I do feel as though I was pushed to sign up faster for the "discounted tuition". It was available every month subsequent. I did not enjoy that pressure. When the course work began for me, I was informed that they would be  making changes and updating information as I went along. Going through the program and the courses I set a weekly study minimum and a deadline to finish the program. While completing projects, it was a little difficult to get an immediate response to a problem unless I called in ahead and said that I would be emailing the instructors about my issue. They were extremely helpful when they responded though. They were reassuring and also honest on whether they could help or not. The school definitely instills the need to research before asking any questions. The learning portion has been fantastic for me, honestly. An issue I did have was the student daily newsletters. Whenever a student completed a course, other students were notified. I was never included in any of the emails for completing courses. Upon completion of the live project, the job placement course, is next. I do not agree with how this is set up. As someone who had to borrow money to attend the school, I had a deadline and I need to submit proof of completion. Unfortunately due to having to apply to numerous jobs OR landing a job first, I still have yet to officially graduate. Luckily, I landed a job that I am excited to start. Frustrating none the less. I feel as though the help of finding jobs and tips should still be available(and it is) even if the student doesn't apply to the required number of jobs. Some students just attend to learn and move on to other things and so it sets a feeling of entrapment. This is my personal opinion. The staff is still friendly and helpful! Thats where I give the most props and kudos to the school. EVERYONE wants to help! And if they can't they will find you someone who can!

Hey Stefon, thanks for the review!

I am sorry you felt pressured on the tuition increase! We actually did just increase the tuition $1,000. What happens is that once a month our Board of Directors meet and one of the topics they discuss is the tuition price. We cost less than the average code school and sometimes the Board of Directors chooses to extend the discount. I hope this makes more sense!

I'm glad that you got a lot out of the course work and help from the instructors. I agree - the instructors and job placement staff are really there to help!

I apologize that you weren't included in Student Daily Newsletter when you completed a course. That was an error on our part, which was happening with a couple of students who enrolled within a certain time period. This has since been corrected. Thank you for pointing that out!

Very well done on landing a job within a couple months of finishing all the course work here! Best of luck in your new career!

I enjoyed my experience with The Tech Academy. The instructors were available and supportive, and the program worked great with my busy and fluctuating schedule. I truly learned a lot (being somewhat tech illiterate when I came in), and came out of the program satisfied that I got what I came for.

Some of the curriculum materials seemed a little outdated, although I suppose that will always be a problem for tech schools. Additionally, it sounds like my Live Project could have been directed better (compared to other students' experiences). However, The Tech Academy seems to be on a constant, attentive mission to collect student feedback, and to continually update their program. That's worth a lot.

I entered the Tech Academy with very limited coding experience and no idea as to what a developer does on a day to day basis. By the time I was done, I had an unrelenting impulse to learn more and more and more. It's honestly addicting, and a very profitable habit at that. The instructors are excellent, the course is incredibly thorough, and everyone is happy to help.

The curriculum is structured to both teach a base understanding of core languages, and to encourage students to pursue apt facility in a realm of particular interest. The process works for folks of all technical backgrounds; I learned many things that I thought I already understood and countless things that I was not aware existed. I could feel my brain rerouting to make new connections.

I encourage everyone to look into the Tech Academy. It's an amazing bang for your buck.

I cannot say enough about how much I've enjoyed my experience with The Tech Academy. I am a college senior and I have been working through The Tech Academy's software development bootcamp over the past few months. The course gives you a wealth of programming knowledge ranging from computer fundamentals to programming languages like C# and Python. The course is structured in a way that really builds upon itself. You often see prior course topics and languages reappear in later courses. In addition, the live project portion at the end of the course provided me with one of the most beneficial experiences I have ever had in my learning career. The remote instructors are always available to help guide you through coming up with a solution whenever you get stuck during the course. I recently received a job offer from Epic Systems in Madison, WI and I have absolutely no doubt that the skills I gained from The Tech Academy played a large role in me obtaining the position.

Before finding The Tech Academy, I had worked in a technical support role in which I grew to dislike.  After my last contract ended, I decided to take some time off and pursue other interests.  I had always known that developers are good jobs, so once I started thinking about finding a job again, being a software developer was at the top of the list.

I explored a lot of different options while researching coding schools and online programs.  I decided on The Tech Academy for price and location.  For me, the best thing about The Tech Academy was to provide a positive mindset and a set direction while progressing in my goal of becoming a developer.  The academy's goal is to teach you to be a developer and help you target your job search and the entire staff wants to help you reach that goal.  The instructors, outreach, and job placement staff all want you to succeed.  Also, your fellow students are all working towards the same goal (at their own pace) which put me in a positive mindset preparing me to reenter the workforce.

    Thanks!

They started from the basics on computers as it relates to computer programming, to working on your project and finally working on a live project collaborating with others! You'll encounter a few challenges. But you'll have to counter that with time you need to prepare, constant questions, and practice (you know the basic of being a student).

This Bootcamp changed my life. It was a good thing and a bad thing. Up front I was excited and couldn't wait to get the curriculum completed so that I could become a developer of the internet. I was working full time during the whole program and it was easy enough to finish on time with the projected graduation date. I was exstatic when finished and hit the ground with a legs churning to find a job, problem was, no company really liked what they were seeing. My resume was on point, I had a killer cover letter for each job applied, and I was energetic and upbeat when I was around tech peaople and at meet ups; but, no interviews, in phone calls, nothing!! I had hit a wall and was starting to doubt myself and my skills and depression wasn't long behind that. I quit my job because I had no time to go to meet ups or even go to an interview if someone happened to call me. I moved back to California because I couldn't support my life away from family without a paying job, and depression grew. I was at a real low, I had just been to 3 funerals in 4 weeks and was about to start looking into going back to an industry I hated when I got a phone call from a company wanting to interview me for their Application Developer position. I couldn't believe the phone call and the good news just kept rolling because a day after that one another came my way. I couldn't believe what was happening and before I knew it, I had accepted a position and am now in the field I have been fighting to get into for almost a year now. The Tech Academy gave me all the tools I needed to find success, It's not their fault I didn't have time, or didn't listen, or couldn't commit. Aaron was the best friend anyone could have asked for in the Job Development department. Other then that I guess one thing I wasn't expecting was all of the courses that were used from other learning websites. It was a bit disconcerting at the time but they were helpful and had a lot of information to teach. Thank you Tech Academy for changing my life.

The Tech Academy offers an excellent foundation in six highly-demanded software languages as well as principles of computer science in general. The staff is knowledgeable, patient, and eager to help. My favorite aspect of the curriculum is the Live Projects; they're a chance to gain practical experience in skill sets that tech companies are seeking, and as long as you put at least two weeks into a single project, how long you participate and how many projects to which you contribute is entirely up to you. I haven't encountered any other software bootcamps that offer so comprehensive an education for such an affordable tuition.

Fair warning, though: the "Job Placement Course" basically amounts to "You don't get your certificate of completion until you send out 35 resumes or get hired, whichever comes first." This is not a program for people who think that getting a piece of paper is going to legitimize their job-seeking in software development; it's for those looking for a great start to a learning process that will last you your entire career.

First off, I want to state how willing and helpful The Tech Academy is. When first signing up with the program, I told them I would be onsite. Two days before my start date however I had to move back to California. With no complaints, they happily put me onto the remote program, and sent a computer to me which arrived to California before I did.

During the program, I was given plentiful information and real world practices to learn coding. They say the best way to learn, is to fail. And The Tech Academy will have you create business grade software entirely on your own, urging you to figure out issues and problems, just like you would in the real world. Doing so, I truly started to feel more and more confident in my coding abilities, knowing I could create software from the ground up, while being able to solve any issue that comes my way. This isn't to say that you have no help available. There are times, where help is definitely needed. and The Tech Academy had no shortage of help available. They spent 3 hours once helping me figure out an issue my computer was having, and another time staying an hour after the school closed to help me finish my program.

Lastly, the job support did everything in their power to help you. I was living in a trailer in a small town, getting virtually no leads due to my location. The Tech Academy offered me to fly out to Portland to do a on site internship, where I gained the necessary experience and location to ultimately land a job in the industry.

I enrolled at the Tech Academy after making a decision to transition from a prior professional career as a lawyer, and so I came into this program with years of experience in office and other project-based work settings.

General Structure: The Tech Academy's self-paced program structure appealed to me as someone who can work independently without constant supervision. It's not perfect for everyone. The instruction and coursework is primarily through video and web lessons, rather than in-person lectures/classes. There is live, in-person assistance available if you get stuck on a particular lesson and project, but you have to be okay with seeking it out, as opposed to just expecting that someone will help you, which is really a great lesson for new developers to learn. There is also an honest and sincere effort by the administrators and job placement coordinators to help prepare students for real-world interviews and technical/soft-skills questions, which I see as valuable to students who haven't had those resources before (I used to also do career counseling and mentoring for professionals, so I see the value of those resources).

Coursework: What also appealed to me over other coding bootcamps I researched was that it emphasized a broader, full-stack engineer curriculum. I had the opportunity to learn coding from front-end and back-end perspectives, and I liked how there was a strong focus on using Microsoft technologies, languages, and frameworks, to build a cohesive understanding of a particular stack. We learned C#, Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, through practical projects. We also have a two-week (or more) "live project" where you get development experience working with real-world clients and projects through Prosper IT, which TA was created from.

Pre-TA Experience:  Prior to TA, I had on-and-off experience learning basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript, C++, and certain math/science related languages from my STEM background before law. However, you don't need that background in order to succeed because the program assumes that you have little to no prior experience with coding. Because it was self-paced, I could quickly move through refresher material and spend more time on other languages, like C#. It's paced for most students to complete in 15-20 weeks, but you can take up to 30 weeks to complete the program.

Overall Experience: Overall, I had a positive experience with TA. The transition for me felt comfortable because of my prior science/tech experience and the fact that I really wanted to make this leap after having invested in a prior career that did not resonate with me as much. I was very motivated to find a job in the Portland area, and was able to interview successfully for a position with a local company that I really wanted to work for after about 2+ months from finishing my work. I'd highly recommend this program for people who may have worked in another industry and had some real-life work experience who know they want to make this leap.

I've recently graduated from The Tech Academy (TTA) of Portland, OR. I was a remote student. I took 30 weeks of self-paced management to finish. What I learned exceeded my expectations. If you are serious, committed and you pass the entrance exams, you can learn to code with TTA.

Just a few weeks after graduating from TTA I was hired as a Software Developer. A large part of securing that job was my SQL, ASP.NET, C#, MVC, TFS training at TTA. Remember, this is a "boot camp" so that should tell you that its no cake-walk, you will be challenged.

    Why I chose TTA:
I am 50+ years old and after 20+ years working in engineering fields in the semiconductor industry, I had a gap in employment and decided to retrain myself and learn the latest software development technologies.
After lots of research I chose TTA for their outstanding remote program which included hot programming courses like JavaScript, SQL, Python, C#, ASP.NET, etc. While searching for a boot camp school last year I didn't see many that offered a solid C#, ASP.NET, SQL heavy curriculum. I'm glad I chose TTA because the job I landed needed those skills.

    Honest Feedback:
    - TTA is not very expensive compared to other programs when I was researching. I feel I got a great bargain.
    - TTA admissions: They “know” they are offering you a real “bargain” for an excellent Software Development Boot Camp. You just don’t know it yet.
    - The school is legit. It is not a fake. It has a brick and mortar building for their local students.
    - The remote study program is “solid,” very easy to follow, and you really do learn. I can’t imagine it being any better.
    - TTA has a great start with "Computer Basics" which eases you into the program.  I really loved how they start you out with a solid foundation.
    - The course does increase in challenge as you go; however, it’s well-balanced and builds on prior learning. For example, after finishing a challenging project for a course,
you get a breather with the new course giving normal training for a while until the next project or drill.
    - It's a fun program with an enjoyable positive environment even for me as a remote student.
    - They have lots of communication such as a daily newsletter, etc.
    - You do learn what they teach if you commit to study and drill.
    - The founders of the school & instructors are really smart and have a great attitude for sharing their knowledge.
    - I have never submitted buggy code, or asked a question that I was not able to get a correct answer from an instructor.
    - You will learn how to create some professional looking websites and learn to make them public and accessible by securing domains and server access.
    - Finishing a project or drill really makes you feel proud and increases your confidence.
    - They teach you how to leverage the internet for learning. This is a big advantage.
    - Learning and using GitHub/Version Control really makes you feel like a pro. Keep all your projects in GitHub organized and they will be portfolio ready.
    - The study platform (learning management system) is web based, easy to follow and it keeps track of your progress.
    - Many of the projects are challenging; however, you really do get all the skills for a particular project, you just need to apply them.
Instructors are really helpful if you get stuck.
    - SQL: You will learn SQL & databases. Study SQL hard, as you will continue to use SQL for databases in the more advanced courses and potential jobs.
    - TTA offers C# & ASP.NET training. Hint: Budget extra days or study hours for this course because it is really good and gets challenging.
    - You will learn how to create websites with databases and web applications coding in C# using Visual Studio, .NET, MVC, TFS.
    - Live Project: At the completion of all your coursework you get to join a team of students on a large coding project using a team based setup, revision control, etc.
    - The Live Project is the best part of the course as you get to use all your skills, it is really a very satisfying end to the boot camp.
    - You will learn professional software development methods like AGILE, SCRUMM, etc. and use them in the Live Project.
    - You have to submit a daily report for each day you study for any amount of time. They will send you a friendly reminder if you stop regular communication.
    - You have to write lots of essays but they are fun to do and you really learn a lot.
    - TTA also wants you to fill out a weekly report that is mostly feedback on the school so they can improve.
    - They really like feedback and will love it if you suggest an improvement.
    - I did not finish in 15 weeks. I took 30 weeks of self paced management.
    - Tip: When you get to C# & ASP.NET, Kick it in gear! and put in 40-60 hours if you can. I had to do that.

My experience with the Tech Academy was great! Before starting the Tech Academy I had a BA in Biomedical Sciences and came to the conclusion that becoming a health care provider wasn’t what I wanted to do with my life. I then began looking into other fields that interested me and found that the tech field really sparked an interest. I was contemplating whether to start studying on my own or do a “boot camp” style course. I decided I wanted to take an online course, not only to keep me motivated, but also to learn programming in a way that followed a cohesive progression, and yet still have the ability to reach out to instructors for questions and advice.  The instructors were extremely helpful, and most importantly, they made an effort to challenge my thinking throughout the different courses, which was something I really appreciated. The job placement course was also extremely helpful when I started the job search process. The university I had attended hadn’t given me any knowledge in how to actually land a job, and the Tech Academy taught me everything I needed to know. The job placement instructors are very passionate about what they do, and they worked with me to help me land a great job by prepping me in mock interviews and giving me valuable insight that I otherwise wouldn’t have know. After completing all of the courses, and spending a month searching for jobs, I found myself landing a paid internship at Microsoft.

The Tech Academy (TTA) is an excellent remote study Bootcamp. TTA has exceeded my expectations and I have learned so much.

The boot camp is focused on creating junior developers for the web and web applications industry which is a booming field. This is a "full stack" BootCamp which basically means the top programming languages for web development. If you watch all their recruitment videos then the course is pretty much what they say it is.

I chose a "Full Stack" boot camp because I wanted a chance to get out of the semiconductor industry. Regardless of the focus on "Full Stack" you are still learning to
code and you can leverage that knowledge as you wish.

Rather than just outright answering it for you. And if you continue to have trouble, the amount of help will also increase as you work on a problem.

This school is a self paced program and it’s great for individuals who are working and parents. To be honest, I was skeptical about coding boot camps. But, since I’ve done a lot of research about boot camps, it made me realize that this is a great opportunity for a change of career in a short amount of time. The course is difficult, but the challenges and the reward of solving a problems are very rewarding for me. All of my instructors are well-informed professionals. They help you understand the problem, even if your studying remotely. The response time is fast and accurate. Sometimes I felt a little embarrassed of all the questions that I ask, but I wanted to learn so bad. The tech Academy is one of the best schools and I will surely recommend it. Thanks tech academy. Shout out to Jordan VanWyhe, Ben and Mika for patiently helping me with my coding problems. These individuals are such great instructors. I will visit Oregon next year and give them my sincere gratitude.

I was looking for a career change that wouldn't require a four year degree. I already knew someone who had attended Tech Academy and done really well for themselves afterwards and decided to look more into it. Everyone I talked to was a great resource and helped me with deciding if Tech Academy and coding would be a good fit for me. I ended up taking the leap and enrolling - it was the best decision! It was unlike anything I had ever done before, but the curriculum started out with the basics so anyone could understand and built up in a way that made sense. I enjoyed the flexibility as you work at your own pace and your own schedule. Having two children, it was great to be able to adjust my days on campus for when there was a day off school or sick day. I could also work from home since all the course are available online. The instructors at Tech Academy are all very accessible and knowledgeable, they've even gone through the program themselves so they know what you are working on. They even have a job placement course that teaches you all you need to know about applying, interviewing, and technical testing to get a job. It was so different and more intense that I can experienced in my previous job searches. The job placement team is amazing at backing you up, giving advice, and just general support. They really want you to succeed!
Overall, coding boot camp from The Tech Academy is wonderful, thorough, and I am so glad I made the leap into the software development field. I just got my first job and can't wait to begin using my new education and skills to build a career!

I am a 56 year old IT professional and was looking to add some coding skills to my portfolio so I recently attended (and graduated from) The Tech Academy. The course gets increasingly difficult and demands a firm dedication to a schedule in order to complete the curriculum on time. Instructors are typically former students who are friendly, familiar with the material, and very helpful, but not experts in the coding language you are learning so finding answers to problems can be somewhat difficult. Assignments force you to think and work out solutions - much of the time on your own - which is good to a point. My only grumble is that the teaching videos are very unpolished, with no index or menu system, and minimal video controls, which makes it very time consuming to review previous sections or to find or search for talking points. I believe they are working on fixing these issues. The school really cares about your success, however, and is very responsive in helping you with any issues that may be holding you back.

I started looking into doing a software development boot camp at the beginning of 2018 but was always unsure of whether or not it was worth the time and money given the fact that they are still a somewhat new concept. When researching, I noticed that all the camps had a very different approach in the way that they teach, their thoroughness of subject, and the curriculum itself which is largely user regulated with reviews since no standards have been set by any official organizations. After reading hundreds of reviews I settled on a few choices to pick from but ultimately decided to enroll in The Tech Academy for a few reasons.

For one, the camp was offered almost completely online for students to be able to complete all over the world, and they had the option of going to a campus located near me in Renton Washington whenever I wanted help or needed a work friendly environment. The ability to complete the program online with the option to go to a campus was something I was really interested in and the fact it was online meant I didn't have to quit my job to work around it. The Tech Academy also had been reviewed quite well and the graduates seemed to have a good opinion of it. Finally, The Tech Academy had a well-rounded curriculum that I thought would be the most beneficial for giving me real-world skills that would be marketable when it came to getting hired such as JavaScript and .NET Framework training.

Ultimately, I'm very glad that I ended up choosing The Tech Academy for one major reason. The people and instructors that I worked with were truly top-notch individuals who care about your learning experience and want to see you grow successfully as a developer. I worked mainly with the two instructors from the Renton campus Michael and Zachary, and the job placement director assigned to me, Chris. These guys are rock stars and ALWAYS made themselves available when I needed help. They also exhibited patience, care, kindness, and a desire to see their students succeed. I owe a lot to these guys as they taught me a very valuable and difficult skill which is not something easy to do for beginners in coding. They alone made every penny I spent on the boot camp worth it.

My one major criticism is that the curriculum changes rapidly in order to constantly be upgrading it and making it better. This is bitter-sweet as it does mean they're always working on making it better, but it also means that the curriculum is sometimes ahead of the instructors and you might miss something they added after you had already completed that section. The good news is that once you graduate, you can always go back as you only get cut off from the online learning system if you don't graduate.

A major thank you to The Tech Academy staff from the bottom of my heart. You guys did a great job and I am forever grateful.

My advice for individuals thinking about attending a coding boot camp:

    1. You'll have a lot of people and articles tell you a lot of negative things about boot camps. I.E. "It's a scam", "You can't learn to code in a short amount of time", "You won't get hired without a bachelors in CS", etc. I suggest ignoring all of this because in my findings these people have not only not attended a boot camp, but have also never even met a person who attended one in most cases. Additionally, I have found most of these criticisms to be flat out incorrect. Only you and you alone can make the decision if a boot camp is right for you. Personally, I was very hesitant at first, but am very happy I ignored that and completed the boot camp. It was a great experience, I learned a great deal, and don't regret a second of it. Worth every dollar and hour.

    2. It will be very very difficult. I know you think you know how difficult it will be, but chances are that you're underestimating it. I worked part-time while attending so might have had a harder experience than someone who wasn't working at all, but either way, it is going to be very hard and you need to be mentally ready for that. It's full of emotional ups and downs and there will be things that take hours if not days to actually understand properly. Expect to have to do this full time and give it undivided attention.

    3. DO RESEARCH. As mentioned above there are a ton of boot camps, and there is no regulation on them. Some of them are probably not very good, so read reviews, call the school armed with many questions, and read as much as you can about them online.

    4. Treat the camp like a gym membership in the sense that you're only going to get out of it what you put into it. No one can learn these skills for you, and the instructors are not miracle workers. The onus of learning is on you and you alone. They provide you with the tools, but you are the one that has to use them to your advantage.

Hope this helps. Please reach out to me if you would like to ask any specific questions.
