    Digital Marketing Course - Vancouver

I took the Digital Marketing course in Vancouver and it was an excellent crash course in digital marketing.  A lot of content was covered in the 10 weeks, so if you don’t keep up you will miss out on some valuable information.  The entire course is group project based and evaluated on a final presentation.  A lot of work is put in by every member and a lot of higher level learning/application will take place outside of class, so be prepared for the commitment.

    The educators and g...

    Intro to Web Development

I am just now coming up to the conclusion of my 10 week Intro to Web Development course, where I've been introduced to several topics including HTML and CSS.

Coming into the course with 0 coding knowledge and a layman's understanding of navigating my own computer, I faced a bit more difficulty than I expected, and have at times felt quite discouraged. While the course would be excellent for individuals with coding experiece, I have found the course to be moving too quickly for m...

    Hi Colin,

We appreciate your feedback, and are very happy to hear that you enjoyed our Instructors, they are some of the best and brightest in the development field.

Our Intro to Development course is designed to give students basic knowledge and skills with HTML & CSS, enabling you to build simple, beautiful web pages by the end of the course. The course is challenging and fast-paced, as it’s intended to provide students with a solid foundation in programming and help them to move forward in their careers. We also encourage students to work on their projects outside of class so that they are continuing to apply the concepts covered in class and really hone their skills.

We hope that you continue to practice your development skills, as there is much more to learn beyond the introductory course. Often, the more students continue to practice the fundamental skills the course provides, the more confident they become with their abilities.

Product Management Course (Part Time - 10 weeks)

Overall I have had an amazing experience with BrainStation. Right from the first info session all the way to selecting the appropriate course that suited my goals, the team was accommodating from the beginning. After nine-weeks into the course, my educators have done an excellent job of teaching us with real life experiences and a very useful content for me was their step by step guidance on launching a product from concept to completion. The student community was very welcoming, and the c...

    WORTH IT!

I considered attending BrainStation for months until I came to a point in my career where I knew that amping up my skills was not a choice anymore if I wanted to remain competitive. I ended up deciding for the SEM course, which is great if you want to dive straight into SEO and PPC. My background in digital marketing was very light before the course, but because it allows you to get hands-on experience, after a couple of months I felt more confident as a digital marketer.

    BrainStation Digital Marketing Course Review

This course gave provides an awesome overview of the digital marketing world and spends a lot of quality time on the important aspects of digital marketing. Each week had an engaging lesson which included many resources that we can take with us into our roles outside of the class. We had the opportunity to work in small groups and disect a brand throughout the 10 weeks, while implementing the things we were learning each week. I found the course to be fairly hands-on and thought it was hel...

I loved the UXD course at BrainStation. My instructors (Irina and Kenan) were informative, funny and supportive and they really knew their stuff. We also were the first cohort to get to use the new BrainStation building in Vancouver. It is beautiful!!!! This is my second class with BrainStation. I find the classes refreshing compared to traditional educational institutions. They are casual but the course content is refined and always relatively fresh. Would recommend this class to anyone w...

    Marketing Manager

I just finished my Data Analytics course at Brainstation and found it immensely valuable for my career. The educators were enthusiastic, and helped to make a somewhat dry course more exciting. Working at a tech company on the marketing team, it was hard for me to understand some of the logic that went into databases, pulling queries and our reporting documents. Now, I have noticed that I'm able to engage deeper in conversations with the developers at my company and can "...

First of all, I want to say I've "graduated" about 3~ months ago(Around March 2017).

Before even signing up for Wyncode I can say this is one of the first places I checked to get more information about them and I was skeptical. How could they have so many good reviews, I thought they were fake. Now that I see my classmates reviews here and other names I also recognize and having gone through the process I understand them.

    Honest Review 2017

Wyncode Academy is a very expensive very fast pace environment. Students will be bombarded with information.  The teachers and their TA's are good, but the mandatory homework is confusing if not difficult.  The students who excel at Wyncode are the type of students that should apply - former IT professionals, computer science graduates, and the people who live with them.  If you enter this Academy with no computer science background, then expect to hit a wall.  All students feel anxi...

    Hi Abe,

We’re always looking to improve at Wyncode and we sincerely appreciate your feedback. Our doors are always open for Wyncode graduates still searching for jobs after the program. We would be happy to help you get the outcomes you’re looking for. Hopefully, you can get in touch with our Director of Hiring Partnerships and take part in an upcoming Wynwork session!

The full-time program is made with beginners in mind. The majority of our students had little to no prior coding experience before enrolling. Some of our biggest success stories have come from those with zero prior experience in the field.

Nonetheless, the program is very intensive. But there are resources every step of the way, including in-person and remote support, ample documentation and videos, and weekly 1-on-1 checkins to gauge student progress. Additionally, with our new 5x5 format, we will recommend that a student repeat the first five weeks of the program, at no extra cost, if we feel it would be beneficial. Due to our overlapping cohort schedule, students held back this way can immediately join the subsequent cohort. At Wyncode, we make sure anyone willing to complete the course crosses the finish line.

Although the web immersive course is a significant time and financial commitment, it’s worth it. We’ve seen tremendous results for graduates of our program. To date, we’ve helped at least one Wyncoder get hired at over 200 companies. And over 50 companies have hired more than one. And we credit these results not only to a curriculum informed by hiring partner needs, but also to the continuous, honest feedback we get from students like you - feedback that helps us create the best possible Wyncode experience.

You don’t have to take our word for it. In our most recently released placement outcomes, 97% of job-seeking graduates in 2014-2015 were placed within six months. You’ll also find within our jobs report a breakdown of how many were able to find roles every month between one and five months after the program. These outcomes were audited by an independent third party, the accounting firm MBAF, and verified for accuracy. We’ve seen similar stats for 2016 and we’re excited to release our updated data within the next few months.

Finally, if any potential student would like to hear from former students, we have several team members who went through the full-time program as well as fully employed Wyncode alumni who would be happy to speak to their experiences. If you look at the many reviews on this page, many individuals have left their names, and their experiences can be cross-referenced via LinkedIn or GitHub. We’re happy to provide all the data we can to allow a prospective student to make an informed decision about learning with us.

    Best,

Matt Campbell, Director of Admissions at Wyncode Academy
