I really enjoyed my time at iO Academy. I chose this bootcamp mostly because it seemed to me that they proposed the most complete curriculum and they did not diI really enjoyed my time at iO Academy. I chose this bootcamp mostly because it seemed to me that they proposed the most complete curriculum and they did not disappoint! It was a very intense learning experience, but it is delivered in the best conditions:- small cohorts (up to 8 students) so it is always possible to ask questions and interact with the trainers
- amazing trainers, always available and supportive
- carefully crafted curriculum, it really felt like they refined it year after year to find the best way and timing to go through the curriculum, so I never felt overwhelmed
I also want to point out that they put a really big emphasis on how to work as a software engineer (e.g. working in an Agile team) and not just how to code. I found this extremely valuable (maybe more than the coding?) as it is a huge part of the job and I arrived in my 1st software engineer position really well prepared and knowing what to expect. On the coding side, they were dedicated to teaching us best coding practices. I am currently working in my 1st position as a software developer and so far my line manager has been pleasantly surprised by how much I've learned at iO Academy!
It took me a 4/5 months to land a job but the job market is a bit tough at the moment. I got some valuable advice from their career consultant which helped me land my current position. I would not necessarily expect to just walk into a job straight after the bootcamp (some of the students of my cohort did though!). iO Academy was definitely worth the time and the investment, and I would totally do it again!

I came to this review site before quitting my job and doing this bootcamp, so I thought it would be nice to come full circle and leave a review after starting mI came to this review site before quitting my job and doing this bootcamp, so I thought it would be nice to come full circle and leave a review after starting my career in tech. Overall, the bootcamp is great - you learn a lot in a short amount of time. I would recommend a bootcamp if you are in a hurry to change careers. That being said, LHL is not responsible for the overarching job market / economic climate. When I graduated every tech giant was doing mass layoffs. Bear that in mind before making a decision. Nothing is guaranteed. After a total of 8 months (which includes 3months of bootcamp) i finally landed a junior dev role. And I was lucky. That being said, the support from career services was good. They help where they can. If I were to use an analogy: they are a passenger in the car you are driving. Is it worth the money? I'm not sure. I think that they do a lot of behind-the-scenes work that indirectly benefited me.
Overall, if you are passionate about tech and want to start your career, give it a go. Life is too short.
For curriculum I would prefer not spending a week on Ruby. I think the curriculum would be better served with an extra week with React or learning Typescript. Pivoting out of Javascript for a week didn't feel worth it to me. On top of that none of the TAs who picked up my request-tickets knew the language. The only fringe benefit of the Ruby week was that it was nice to see the MVC approach.

I was struggling a lot and decided to explore courses online, I didnt knew about UX/UI Dessign until one day doing research to find a design program I came across the UX/UI Boot Camp at UT Austin. It was a game changer to discover the existence of this field that combines the psychology part and foundations of the design taking in acount the user experience and making it a human centered approach, I applied and the admission team contacted me and help me with the whole process from A to Z. It was very helpful to have the assiatance and guidance from the beginning, I trusted completely and was never disppointed. My teachers are amazing and are coaching us with real world tools and projects that will help us to have more confidence and land a job afterwards.
If you are thinking in enrolling a bootcamp this is it, don't think about it twice, trust the process and be sure that you will be supported by a top university and a great team.

Je suis actuellement étudiant à l'école Le Réacteur et je ne peux qu'exprimer ma satisfaction à travers cette évaluation. Mon parcours dans cette école a été exceptionnel, et ce, grâce à plusieurs facteurs qui la distinguent.
L'un des aspects qui mérite d'être souligné est l'engagement constant des formateurs. Leur présence attentive et régulière crée une atmosphère d'apprentissage immersive. À chaque étape, les formateurs sont là pour guider, répondre aux questions et fournir un soutien individualisé. Cette disponibilité constante crée un environnement propice à l'apprentissage, où les étudiants se sentent soutenus et encouragés.
Par ailleurs, un autre point fort de l'école Le Réacteur est la facilité des cours. Les enseignants ont réussi à rendre des concepts souvent complexes, accessibles et compréhensibles. My learning path in the course was Java, and then using a bit of react and javascript. My job after Zip Code is based entirely in C# and Angular. I was nervous at first but after my first day and looking through codebases, I realized that anything I didn't understand about what I was looking through, I knew how to learn about, because Zip Code ensured that. They do a good job of letting you speak up as you need help, rather than assuming everyone wants the same kind of assistance. In addition to the staff supporting you when you have questions, ZCW always reiterates the importance of working as a team of peers. The expectation is almost never that you can't share information, and almost always a matter of sharing knowledge you've gained with others in the course who haven't picked those skills up yet. It's a very busy 3 months, but they're incredibly worth it.

I didn't know what they meant at the time and I questioned everything. Coming from Retail Management as working background with zero experience in the Tech world the Bootcamp was quite intense as well as overwhelming for me throughout the whole 12-week course. A lot of new information was thrown at us every day, and the next day built on the previous one. Apart from the 10-6 daily schedule, I had to grind lots of extra hours of self-studying in order to keep up with the course. But at some point, everything started coming together and the puzzle started becoming more concrete. It's a GREAT program - for everyone - regardless of their background, whether they are coders or non-coders. The teachers and TA are very knowledgeable. They are extremely friendly and patient. The teachers taught me how to code but also how to be patient, be gentle with myself, and work in a team effectively. The management team is polite, friendly, and present. They're always available to help with any issues. The Career Week was very helpful and enlightening in order to help us prepare properly for the job hunt, job interviews, polish our resume and Linkedin profile. I chose Codaisseur mainly for the "No cure- no pay" model that they offer, as tuition fees can be quite stressful while trying to find a job as a junior developer. All and all, I am 100% satisfied with my choice as I found my first job as a Junior API Engineer 5-weeks after my graduation. If you're on the fence (just like me in the beginning) and wondering if you should take Codaisseur Bootcamp or not, please do yourself a favor – take a leap of faith – and GO FOR IT! Be prepared, be ready and enjoy the ride!!

I would say now that is wrong. You want an instructor with you. Go full time. Also, embrace the struggle. You're going to struggle for sure, but that is where the deepest learning happens. Mistakes are fantastic because you remember them and learn a lesson! To sum up, go to Bottega and go full-time! You won't regret it!
