After I graduated in May 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and endlessly applying for jobs in my fields, I still did not received positive news. Most of the jobs require hands on experiences even for entry level jobs. However, my trajectory shifted when I discovered Cognixia in July 2021—a turning point that redefined my career path. Intensive 10 week course, where you learn lot of different basic to intermediate skill set regarding back-end Java developer and computer science itself. Even after graduation there is a jump plus stage where you are able to build more projects and review course materials that is learned during the course until you get deployed to a organization. This course doesn't only focus on technical skills but also allows you to improve your soft skill part and prepare you for the interview.

I graduated from college without prior experience. their program is great that helps new graduates get their foot in the door. the JUMP program by Cognixia has helped me understand more about technology that was just briefly explained in college. The instructors are knowledgeable on every topic that was being taught. from Generative AI to AWS services, these technologies that they taught me paved the way for me to acquire certifications such as the Generative AI certificate and the AWS Cloud practitioner certificate. The class gives a new point of view in which no topic will be boring as most of the new aspects are new. I can't recommend this program enough! 

This program on Generative AI and Prompt Engineering has been nothing but a great experienced that's changed and transformed my life for the good. Throughout this course we touched on numerous of topics such as prompt engineering, Natural Language Processing(NLP), AI Language models as well as exploring the ethical aspects of these models. On top of this, we explored and worked on these topics first-hand by doing in-class labs as well as using some popular Gen AI tools and technologies such as OpenAI, Google Bard, etc. 

Furthermore, the curriculum itself was well structured and organized with the goal of expanding the skillsets of each individual for their own benefit in their careers. The instructor was excellent, supportive and helpful as he was very knowledgeable on the topic and was able to explain the material in a way that made it easy for me to understand. I couldn't be more grateful!

I have nothing but positive things to say about the JUMP experience! When I got my bachelors, it was more of a focus on the core fundamentals of Computer Science. It was not really informative in terms of how I was going to be utilizing these skills in the work force. Going through the python JUMP course I was taught many different tools such as pandas, pyspark and AWS. These tools have given me a much better idea of what I can actually do in the work force as well as what I was going to be doing.

I had no idea what would happen when I entered this program; all I knew was that it would be similar to other bootcamps on the market. If you want to start a career in technology, this is the place to be. Beginning with the recruiter who informed me about this program and provided me with all the details regarding the class and topics. The Jump program has some of the most skilled and experienced instructors, and they will do everything they can to ensure that you learn all topics. My instructor was Matthew Truelove; he is extremely patient and knowledgeable, and the way he taught JAVA was so simple to understand. The course is set up so that if you put 100% of your effort into it, you will get 100% of the results. This is not something that every bootcamp on the market can provide. For the non-technical portion of interviews, they also provide training on establishing a digital mindset (thanks to Sierra White for all the sessions and exercises). Finally, the most significant aspect of program is job hunt( They will do it for you). I went to college for CS and graduated in 2020. I was applying to every single entry level developer job out there but got very few call backs for an interview. Without having industry level experience, I could not get an entry level developer job. I ended up working at a help desk and hated it. I went to college for programing, and that is what my passion was in. When I got a call from a recruiter about the JUMP program and how they will teach me exactly what companies what and have the connections to get me in front of an interview I leapt at the opportunity!! JUMP turned out better than I imagined! The instructors were amazing, they taught us from scratch how to code, build full stack apps hosted on the cloud, and practice interviews. I was finally able to get in front of interviews and knew exactly how to get the job!!

An amazing program with even more amazing people. I went through a “hire, train, deploy” phase that basically went over the basics of programming and what is expected in a modern tech role. After that I had a few interviews lined up by Collabera. Speaking from experience of having interviews outside Collabera, these ones were much MUCH easier, Collabera has often placed many other people at these companies so they give you great knowledge of what to expect and what Qs may come your way. Ending up getting signed on to a great company and one of the biggest financial institutions in the USA. Although I initially wanted to sign on full time with this company, I was told I would have to move across the country to do so. This is where Collabera came in clutch and signed me back on for a generous sum, this also meant I don’t have to move because I am still a contractor! These “bootcamps” may not be for everyone but I cannot imagine where I’d be if I didn’t sign-up for the jump program over 2 years ago.

I found the JUMP program to be valuable because it not only helped me develop a strong technical foundation for the workforce but also helped me build a stronger intrapersonal skill set. The technical knowledge I gained from this program is very relevant, as it is in high demand by big-name companies today. As someone with an electrical background, I did not have a lot of experience with object oriented programming because most of my projects used C or C++ since I was dealing with hardware. I started the JUMP Program in January 2020 and I graduated from the class end of February 2020. The training was absolutely great and the teacher was great as well. I was in an environment where the director and staff always made us feel comfortable and like we were worth something. We were treated as if people believed in us! Overall, the curriculum was fast, steady, and filled with information. We never went a day without learning something new and I appreciate that. We had been set up for success since day one!

An efficacious curriculum for recent graduates, with little to none, prior work experience searching to enter the competitive full-stack development workforce. After graduating, I was struggling to enter the workforce, with only 6 month worth of barely software-related internship experience. Having been found (via LinkedIn) and recruited by Cognixia, I was stationed in the Bellevue offices, with a team of 15 to 20 additional graduates. I was able to learn a significant deal of JavaScript concepts, CSS, HTML, VSCode tricks, and React development, while being provided paychecks and a nearly free hotel stay in one of the most expensive cities in Washington state.
