As someone who is looking to transition into a career in web development, I recently completed Le Wagon's web development bootcamp in London, and I was thoroughly impressed with the experience. From day one, the teachers and TAs were incredibly supportive, patient, and passionate about teaching us the skills we needed to become successful web developers. Although the curriculum was fast-paced and challenging, it was also incredibly rewarding. We were taught a range of programming languages, frameworks, and tools, and we were given the opportunity to practice what we had learned through group projects and individual coding challenges. The teaching style was engaging and interactive, with a perfect balance of theory and hands-on learning.
One of the things that made Le Wagon stand out was the community that came along with it. I met some amazing people from all walks of life who shared a passion for learning. The staff fostered an inclusive and supportive environment and it was a great feeling to be surrounded by such a talented and motivated group of people.
The post-bootcamp careers support was also excellent. The careers team and teachers at Le Wagon helped us with CV writing, job searching as well as interview preparation. At first I was a little bit affraid, but as the Le Wagon staff always say, trust the process. It is amazing how I could learn so much in so little time.

Excellent time, learned loads during my time there. The TAs were incredibly good at helping me when I got stuck and helping me keep moving forward during this intensive course. This is for those who haven’t had experience in tech be ready as it will be very intense. If you are going in. Make sure to research backend, Ruby and Ruby on Rails and also front-end make sure you understand the concept of full stack and how problem-solving works before applying to Boot Camp. The biggest problem I had at the Boot Camp. We did not spend much time learning JavaScript and we did not learn react as due to time being very short. You will only spend 2 months learning and create projects. Read less

Overall Experience: Great course, well structured and well worth the investment in both time and money. 

Instructors: They did an incredible job.  First in the morning is lectures with the lead teacher for the day, taking their time to explain the days topic and concepts needed for the challenges during the day. Then it is over to the teaching assistants (TAs), guiding us students to better grasp the concept a little better with Le Wagons own online learning platform. Once the allotted time is up for challenges, it's back to the lead teacher for the day with an interactive live-code session. 

Curriculum: The curriculum gives a good solid foundation and introduction into becoming full-stack developers and working in teams, setting us up for roles within the industry. 

Job Assistance: Careers advice first begins while we are studying. Dedicated Careers week after graduating the bootcamp, guiding us through the tech world, not to mention a large alumni network at your disposal.  Read less

Good bootcamp with great pedagogy to acquire new skills fast and get a first overview of what developing web application looks like. Teachers are passionated and share their knowledge with enthousiasm. The day to day rythm is a good balance between passive and active learning time. Read less

If you like challenges and tolerate failure, this is the right place to increase your knowledge.
My advice is that the more base you have in both programming and statistics, the more profit you will get from it.
If you like the intensive learning process, this is the right place, now if not, be careful with that!
You meet a lot of amazing people from many different countries and backgrounds.
I have encouraged myself and it has been worth it!

I really liked the teaching environment at Le Wagon. The staff/teachers here are really kind and open-minded, they find a time to help you with your doubts and they really take seriously students mental health (as it's a very tough course). It feels like a safe place to learn and makes you eager to learn. Personally I feel like the course was too compact, sometimes I felt overwhelmed because everyday we learnt a new different thing from what we learnt the day before. It might have been better if there were more weeks and we could learn more of for example Javascript in two weeks instead of one.

But overall the experience was great and I really recommend studying at Le Wagon. Read less

The course provides a high pace, well structured introduction to data science. The mathematical depth is of grad level while programming requirements are reachable without prior experience BUT with sufficient effort. Despite the steep fee, it felt good value for money. This provide an excellent foundation for further development and self teaching either on the job or online. would recommend for people wanting to retrain in datascience. Read less

You won’t go wrong with Le Wagon. Le Wagon is one of the best things that ever happened to me. Coming from a background in law enforcement, I was keen to make a mid-career switch to future-proof myself and become a better version of myself by stepping out of my comfort zone. Q1: Why did I choose Le Wagon instead of other bootcamps in Singapore?

To me, Le Wagon won in many aspects. First, it is transparent - you get to see projects created by students week after week on YouTube, which shows that there's nothing to hide. Second, it is competitively priced, especially after government subsidies. Finally, the full-time, classroom-based programme was crucial for me to learn effectively and build lasting friendships with my classmates.

Q2: Did I get a job after graduation?

Yes, I got a job as a ReactJS developer with one of Le Wagon's hiring partners within a week after graduation. This is a testament to the high regard that companies have for Le Wagon.

Q3: Do I feel well-equipped after going through Le Wagon?

Le Wagon teaches Ruby on Rails, which I believe provides a solid foundation to the world of programming without the risk of getting lost. Additionally, Ruby on Rails is the perfect full-stack framework for boot campers, as it allows for easy and quick web application building. The experience of working on projects as a team was invaluable, as it prepared me for working with Agile and Git in my current job.

Q4: What have I gained in perpetuity?

I have gained lifelong friends, access to a strong Le Wagon Slack community, an up-to-date learning platform (Kitt) that remains with me forever, and a network of alumni who are part of the tech industry.

Q5: Has Le Wagon Singapore changed my life?

If it instills a love for coding and helps make your dreams come true, then yes, it has changed my life.
