I started the course coming from a completely different background... so had lots to learn.
The course was extremely intensive and effective. It’s impressive what you learn in such a short space of time! In just 8 weeks you get a good basis in all aspects of UX and UI design, all the way from validating ideas through user research to designing high fidelity prototypes in sketch and flinto. The teachers are passionate and knowledgeable.

On top of that, Sonia is great at helping you secure a job after finishing the course. She has a lot of great contacts and gets you over the first hurdle of securing interviews. I finished the course just before xmas and was already working midway through January as a UX designer in Barcelona.
I would definitely recommend the course, but do it with an open mind and with realistic expectations. You won’t know everything there is to know about UX/UI design after 8 weeks... but you will have learned a solid foundation that will leave you well equipped to carry on learning in your first role.
I had a fantastic time at Ironhack and learned so much.
Nizar is one of the two best teachers I've ever had and I have been in school for way too long. The effort he puts in is admirable and motivating.
Kevin and Gus were very kind, helpful and ego-boosting TAs and I appreciate them immensely.

Brito is a really awesome guy, he truly cares and he will do his best for you. And he has some quotes that you will remember your whole life.
I was hired as a developer after the course and this would not have been possible without Ironhack.
A fair word of warning however: you must dedicate yourself entirely and you must love programming. You will have to go above and beyond what is taught in class to be competitive in the job market. And once you have finished these two months, you will realize how much there is left to learn; it never ends, so be prepared and make sure this is your passion.
Thank you to all of Ironhack!!!
Pros - The instructors were very knowledgable with great credentials. They also had a lot of networking opportunities, but most of the attendees were not interested in students and were looking for more experienced developers. Classroom and campus was very nice and Barcelona is beautiful.
Cons - When I applied, I was told the graduates had a 96% employment rate after graduation. When I arrived, the figure changed to 80% (understandable). However, my class, most of those with lit...

Cons - When I applied, I was told the graduates had a 96% employment rate after graduation. When I arrived, the figure changed to 80% (understandable). However, my class, most of those with little to no knowledge of programming in my course still do not have a job or offers months later. Also, the class size was two times as advertised, we had over 30 people in our class, and it was nearly impossible to get help from the TAs. Also, the "career week" was only a single day and was not held immediately after the course, it was over two weeks after the course had ended, which meant many of us could not attend due to travel/visa issues. The coursework was shoddy and disorganized, we had lessons in week three for material we were expected to know on day one. They claim to take you from 0% to 80%, I would say I went from 20% to 50%. I am still unemployed and cannot find a job.
Personally, I had a great experience at Ironhack. The staff was always very kind and helpful. They provide a huge amount of high quality resources and guidance. I tried teaching my self programming over the Internet but honestly, there are so many tutorials and courses that take so many different approaches that it's really difficult to figure out which way is best. I tried teaching my self programming over the Internet but honestly, there are so many tutorials and courses that take so many different approaches that it's really difficult to figure out which way is best. I think the instruction at Ironhack with their experienced devs was invaluable. Like anything in life, what you put in determines what you get out. Ironhack and bootcamps in general are no different. Ironhack prepared me to take the first step toward becoming a true developer. However, I think all prospective bootcamp students should understand that programming is really a skill that takes years upon years to master. Bootcamps will give you a foundation and prove to potential employers that you can learn the neccesary skills, but don't expect to come out of a bootcamp as a beast programmer. That will take time. If you are ready to put that time in and truly want to become a developer I think bootcamps are an essential first step! Ironhack taught many practical and useful skills that I was able to apply day 1 of my first job. I now have some friends who attended other bootcamps in the Miami area and in speaking with them about their experiemces, I have no doubt in my mind that Ironhack is the best bootcamp in South Florida bar none!

The place is very friendly and you will feel comfortable since the first day. You have all the basics to stay there all there. During the afternoon, everyday, there are some exercises proposed, as well as pair programming. Here you can try to develop everything you learned in the morning.
Finally, the last 2 weeks of the course, you will have to focus on your final project. You will have to decide to make a web app and try to develop it fully on your own. TAs are there everyday to help you with any doubt you've got. All projects are rated by professional developers, and the best five are presented during a well known event in Barcelona.
But hey! Here's the best part: the hiring week. One of the attractive points of these course is to find a job later. Guess what? During the hiring week, the Ironhack staff helps you contact with companies and talk with people to get hired. Yeah, I was quite skeptical at first, but nowaday's I've got a job, so I am fully satisfied.
So, you just need to stay positive and work hard during these 8 weeks, and finding a job in Barcelona is almost 100% guarenteed.
If you want to learn web development i cant recommend ironhack enough, the payof is huge!
Ironhack was the way to change my life and to be able to learn in a totally different way than usual. They make you feel that you belong to a big family and all your colleagues are there to help you. After finishing the bootcamp I realized everything I had learned and that I was ready to enter a company with the guarantee that I would do well.
My only regret is not doing this sooner then I wished I did. This bootcamp has shifted my life to a more positive side and I have learned so much in such a small amount of time. Excited to see what the future holds for me after gaining the knowledge of great developers!

I recently finished the web development part-time course.
I found out about Ironhack through the scholarship that uber was granting and i was lucky enough to get a partial one, and just be able to do the course was a great opportunity.

If you're thinking about whether or not you should do the course, think no more, do it. You'll learn tons of direct applicable knowledge in such a short amount of time that you'll be amazed. When you're done you'll be able to build any web app you can think of, just don't miss class and put as much effort and time as you can on this. It's worth it!
It’s difficult to describe what I’ve lived in the last weeks, perhaps the word is UNIQUE and IRREPLACEABLE.
A few weeks ago I decided to do the web development bootcamp at Ironhack, I had no prior experience in programming as I worked in admin and logistics. Having finished the course, I know programming is what I want to do and I want to keep learning about all types of technologies.

¿What did I do during these 9 weeks? Coding, coding, coding. It could sound boring but it was far from it. When you do something you like, you don’t mind putting in the hard work. Here you learn many technologies from day one, and even though it’s very difficult d and very intense, the result is worth it: my colleagues because friends, the staff is always there to help you even outside their working hours and, most of all, I know have the tools to become a junior programmer.

By far one of the most richful experiences I've had.
I didn't know what to expect , everything seemed too "perfect". But now, a month after graduating, I can say without a doubt that enrolling has been the best decision I've made in a long time.
I didn't have any kind of previous experience, and already before graduating, I had an offer.
