Mostly focus on UX side of the work. You will learn to use tools like Figma but these are tools you can went up in skills by yourself.
What's really nice with ironhack it's that the projects you're working on are done in collaboration with real companies or projects. This help to have your first network in this sector or even it's help to find your first job as a product designer (was my case :) ).
The other students are your future colleagues because the sector is a small world don't forget that :)Clarusway

Read MoreI am a graduate from Digital Crafts. I attended the full time web development bootcamp online for four months starting in July of 2022, and have since then got my first job in software development / web development with the experience and knowledge I attained from attending Digital Crafts. There is no doubt in my mind that without the leg up I attained from a curriculum in web development as well as my fantastic instructor Veronica, that I would not have been able to land my first job in the field. Despite the fantastic experience I had with DC, there is a few things I would like to make any prospective boot camp students aware of before paying the price of admission.... Read Less
1. You get out what you put into it.
If you are thinking that you will be able to coast through this course like a college or highschool course, get a certificate, then get a web development job, you may, but you probably won't. More than anything else the experience and skills you gain from attending all the classes, getting a grasp on all the material offered, and being able to demonstrate your aptitude is what's going to get you a job. Having a credential/ certificate is nice, but with no experience you have to have the knowledge and projects to back you up when going on interviews.
2. It's possible to go into this with no prior coding experience and succeed, but you really should not!
Going into any boot camp you will hear and read "No prior knowledge of coding necessary!". This is true, but this is not what I did, and I believe going in with a basic understanding of OOP helped me learn more and learn faster than my classmates who were completely fresh to every single topic. It's not impossible to catch up, but during your time attending DC you will have to run twice as fast to learn half as much, and as I said earlier, the more you can perform the better off you will be when you finish. I would highly recommend going through some basic programming material for a couple months before making the commitment, it will help a ton in my estimation.
3. Job assistance...
As you may have read from other reviews there is not guarantee that DC will do anything to get you a job after graduation. Despite some saying they do nothing, I think that is bogus, as there are networking opportunities, seminars, and the door is always open with staff members who work in career services who will give you specific detailed advice and guidance on what you need to do and how you need to do it to get your first job. It is also true that there's a good chance you can be hired as a TA ( teachers assistant ) by DC after you completed the course which will give you the experience you need to go somewhere else. It's not the best Job assistance in the world, as they will not hold your hand to your next position they picked out for you, but DC will give you what you need to move in the right direction.
4. I've heard some things...
During my time at DC I have heard some things that I would be remiss not to disclose here. I heard from one of my classmates who knew somebody that was taking the same course with a different instructor in part-time web development that there was a lot of funny business going on. It seemed that the quality of the classes/ assistance from the instructor was lackluster and something I definitely would not be happy about had I experienced myself. That being said this is word of mouth, I don't really know, but I would highly recommend if you want to attend, you do the full-time any way as I think it is a much better structure to begin with.
5. The Curriculum itself.
The curriculum itself is pretty good. It covers full-stack web development pretty deeply for the amount of time you actually spend learning and practicing material. That being said, In hindsight I wish the course had a larger focus in back-end web development with a server side language. No matter what part of web development you strive with, you may need to allocate serious time keep learning more languages/frameworks after the fact to fill in some missing skills from your resume before you get your first position.
That is pretty much all I have to report about the bootcamp. If I could go back in time I would chose to attend this bootcamp every single time. The people that I met there were all absolutely fantastic, and the fact that it accomplished for me what it was supposed to accomplish means I really have nothing to complain about. Despite that, I believe that coding bootcamps are not for everyone, and you really have to consider what you are capable of before you sign up and pay for any bootcamp.- 262Reviews3CoursesFounded in Portugal in 2015, <Academia de Código_> is a social impact startup that offers 14-week intensive and immersive Full Stack Programming Bootca... Financing wise was the hardest for me being an out of state remote student which is why I cannot continue to Immersions (Software Development) unfortunately. If you are an out of state student just be mindful or have the full tuition prepared because you cannot get the school's deferred tuition or other help if you cannot get a loan for both halves of the program. As the program is split into two parts (Coding Foundations and Software Development) you can be approved for a Climb loan for the first half and not approved for the second, leaving you with no certification or job assistance and a loan to pay back. If you're in state they have many options and resources available to help you.
In the end it was a rewarding experience and I learning a lot. I am grateful for this experience and I'm excited to continue my journey on a slightly different path than I intended! We had some student services employees taking the class with us and they are phenomenal people so I know students are in good hands when entering immersions and beyond! Thank you to everyone who put up with my silliness you are the best. I may have to visit Indiana someday because you guys represented so well! Codeup

Read MoreGetting that good firm foundation of understanding was helpful because now I'm in the cert prep program and it has not been easy, but it gave me a greater understanding. Sometimes you take courses and you don't really get what they're saying or you don't get the material and you're just being told just to constantly read, read, read, but this is more or less, hands-on. I'm more of a learner. I like to touch things and read at the same time. One thing I love about the course is that they have you doing it. From day one, you download a Linux operating system and you're playing on it already. The hands-on is what's golden about it.I enjoyed the Yellow Tail Tech program a lot. Looking back now, I can't believe it's been six months already, that's how much I've enjoyed it because usually, there’s a time when I've been in school before, in college and you’re just wondering, man when is this course going to end?I just feel like every day with this course I'm learning something new and I don't really even want it to end. I'm like, look, I'm ready to sign off for the AWS course and take that side of it now or the soon-to-come engineering course that you're going to go into it.The learning experience has been wonderful because I feel like I've learned a lot. I feel like I've absorbed a lot. I wish I could have taken even more advantage then I'll probably be a bit even further. I will recommend it to a lot of other people because like I said, it's hands-on. I don't think you can really beat doing hands-on versus just reading all the time and theorizing. You are really doing what you're going to do, and I think that's probably the best way to learn.

Read MoreBefore enrolling in the course I had interviewed for a few tech and research-oriented positions in my field and failed to move past the last stages of the process, so I decided that I needed to get better prepared to meet the demands of today's data-driven world. This Bootcamp's curriculum covers a lot of ground and it succeeds to stay within industry-standard tools and practices that have given me the confidence to work with real-life data analytics and data engineering tasks. The Bootcamp doesn't require a computer science background but it helps to have university-grade foundations in computation, mathematics, and statistics as well as some experience with programming languages. On many occasions, because of the fast pace of the program, I wished I had more time to deepen my knowledge of certain topics and tools like web technologies, cloud computing, and Python libraries, but at least the curriculum revisits them later on and expands on them appropriately. The career services are good but it's hard to prioritize them early on with so much going on in the lessons and assignments. The way I get the most out of the course is by being confident using everyday tools like Git, Google, the command line, and code editors, as they can get in the way of learning more complex topics further down the road. The rest is applying the course materials in whatever interests you the most. The first 4-6 weeks can be difficult as you adapt to the schedule but it gets easier once you make a habit of learning and practicing technical skills while progressively becoming a better data analyst.... Read MoreI have successfully completed my 6-month journey through Arizona State University FinTech Bootcamp! I enrolled in the program with no prior coding experience at all. My background consists of construction and about a decade of day trading experience. I was not sure what to make of the Bootcamp at first as I had never done online education before. I was not very tech savvy in general. The first day of class my instructor asked me a question, he said Why are you here? I thought about it for a second and explained I am there to change careers, I am tired of the physical labor, busting my back all day in the blistering heat. He told me to remember my why and stay focused. I knew it was going to be hard but I decided I was going to trust the process. With the support of my classmates and my amazing tutor/mentor Johnathan I took it one day at a time and little by little started to learn how to program. I became very passionate early on in the course and used that passion as motivation to learn as much as I could. It is a fast-paced course and definitely not for those that are not willing to put in the effort. For disclosure and full transparency, I put in easily 20- 30+ hours each week of outside class time to really absorb everything but I was more than willing as I was determined to learn and remembered my "why". My Instructor Estevan and teacher assistant Derek were very informative and insightful, they offered office hours before and after class which I attended every one. They could not have been any more supportive of me throughout the entire journey. They knew my background of having No background as it relates to programming and were more than willing to match my effort and support me by answering any questions I had. I realized that the experience is what you make of it so I asked as many questions as I could think of and kept detailed notes. By asking so many questions in office hours and taking detailed notes of the problems I had I was able to start helping other classmates debug their errors in class. Helping others allowed me to instill within myself what I learned. I am proud to say I was announced as one of the Top students in the class upon completion as I maintained an A+ average and missed no classes or assignments.Being a day trader for nearly a decade I have been keeping track of tedious statistics, manually, first on paper in a notebook then eventually in an excel spreadsheet. Early on in the Bootcamp I realized I could use my skills to automate the tedious and very time-consuming tasks that were required of me. Around the 10th week of the bootcamp, I started working on a personal project to utilize for my day trading. I decided I would implement the skills I was learning in class, putting these skills to practical use in real time really ensured I was comprehending everything. By the end of the program I completed my day trading application and currently use it on a day to day basis to help myself make trading decisions.I would recommend this bootcamp to anyone that has an interest in learning Python. You can 100% do it through this Bootcamp as it offers you all the support you need to thrive. You have to have the tenacity from within yourself. If you want to further your education there is no better place in my opinion. The support and staff are professional knowledgeable experts in the field with a bleeding passion which is contagious. I enjoyed the program and would do it all over again. My 2 cents:Attend office hoursMeet with your tutor weeklyRe-watch all the recordings of the classesTake detailed notesWork on your own passion projectSupport your classmatesAlways remember your "WHY"If you want to achieve success Arizona State University FinTech Bootcamp is highly suggested.
I have recently completed the bootcamp so I can not give a fair assessment on Job Assistance yet as it is not applicable to me currently. I can say they do offer excellent resources and provide support in preparing for the career hunt!

Read MoreThis was the first data science course I have undertaken, and I must say, it was worth the while. There is a lot to study; the coaches provide extra materials that helps you understand everything. They are also very professional and designed the course curriculum in a way that’s suitable for all students.
The projects and exercises are very realistic, and once you complete 50% of the course, you are on your way to begin learning Machine, Deep Learning, and Data Science in-depth.
The course is well structured, with self-paced courses and tutors were hands on ground to provide all the support I needed. The tutors took their time to break down complex concepts like as descriptive and inferential statistics. You'll also get a completion certificate at the end which is a major plus when job hunting.... Read Less

Read MoreI attended online courses through VET TEC. A lot of information comes at you in a short amount of time so it is imperative that you make sure to set back plenty of time to study and you will leave this course with a lot of knowledge and the ability to jump into a forever growing industry. They have fantastic instructors, my instructors were Andrew Cichewics and Carlos, but worked with Luis through work shops a few times . Andrew is an extremely knowledgeable instructor that is able to bring a ton of real world experience into the instruction that is extremely helpfully in breaking down some of the material. He has a great upbeat personality that keeps you focused on what is being taught. He truly cares about his students success and will do everything he can to help you grow if you put in the effort. Everything can be said the same for Carlos. Although he is a newer instructor to be, he was always able to jump right in showing is vast knowledge with in the field and gave a lot of insight into his experiences. I also want to give a shout out to Kara Arguello, student services, who was always there to assist and kept me informed of any work shops that were taking place. Kara's constant communication through email kept me up to date with everything available and was appreciated even though I was not able to take advantage of as many work shops as I would have liked to. Overall, fantastic experience and would take it again just to retain even more knowledge. Finally, I would like to take this time to just give a huge thanks to the entire team I have had the pleasure of interacting with throughout this course. THANK YOU!!!...
