After giving a break as a product manager in software industry, I wanted learn how to build products by myself with the latest tech-stack, particularly in React. I had intermediate skills and knowledge in Web development, so I thought it would be enough to enroll Scrimba Pro and jump into React modules in Front-end Path directly. And it really did work. I learned React basics with Scrimba with a really intuitive and fun way, but also realized that there were some missing parts in my understanding of javascript and DOM API. So I decided to enroll for the Scrimba Bootcamp, and finish the whole front-end modules from scratch, and complete the missing parts. It was the most satisfying learning experience I get from an online course. The intermediate level modules in the curriculum are designed in a way that each challenge actually slowly seeds the patterns used in React and web development in advance, before you reach to further modules.

Enrolling to the Bootcamp of course boosts your motivation and confidence thanks to the weekly teacher-led video sessions. I personally enrolled to benefit from this tutoring, to learn more about the work market, strategies, tech-stacks etc and Guil and Micheal helped a lot. In this calls, you also share your progress during the week and what kind of difficulties you run into. If needed, your tutor schedules a one-to-one session for you. Another benefit is that Scrimba code-reviewers, review your solo-projects you build at the end of each module. You receive this reviews by Scrims, Scrimba’s own video-like format, with comments and audio records from the reviewer. Of course this tech is worth to mention while it makes Scrimba unique: just imagine that your teacher is coding on a video lecture but you intervene to the code any time you want and continue to code. Overall I can say that, if you are a self-paced learner but still need a solid learning framework and some little push, Scrimba offers the best option. It’s cost-effective, following the best practices, and teaching the latest and most job guaranteed tech. As someone who wasted so much time Tutorial Hell, I definitely recommend Scrimba to anyone wants to land a job in the industry as soon as possible.

I started at Coder Foundry in June or July of 2022. I was certainly not the best developer in my cohort by anyone's measure, but everyone there helped me catch up on any concepts that I was having trouble with, combined with me studying in my free time if I wasn't too tired (the course is fairly rigorous, especially in the second half). After I graduated, Kelly helped me find a job by giving my resume and my portfolio page to recruiters all the time, and it led to me finding my first job in software development only a little while after I graduated in September or October. I was recently laid off from that job, and even then, the team at Coder Foundry put me right back into their rotation of resumes that they send to recruiters, and I was able to find a job within two weeks of being laid off. I have nothing but great things to say about the process, and especially the after-graduation support that they give you.

I am very satisfied with the Tester course. The mentor conveys his knowledge very well and backs it up with examples from his years of professional experience. He was able to answer all my questions related to testing. Preparation for the exam was also at a high level. I do recommend it!

Le rythme est soutenue mais nous sommes bien accompagné. La capsule nous inculque également ses valeurs. Une fois la formation terminée… et ben non ce n’est pas finis, ils nous mettent à disposition des masterclass pour continuer à apprendre… juste top!!

As someone who had zero knowledge about coding, FSA was an excellent introduction to programming. Although the program was quite fast-paced, especially for those who are beginning, I appreciate how devoted the instructors and their assistants are to helping everyone.  Besides the phenomenal instructors and their aide, the fellow students you meet always make learning fun especially since the whole class all are reaching the same goals. You meet a class of experienced and inexperienced students willing to learn from each other which showcase during the final group project. FSA doesn't teach you specific technical skills, but also soft skills by preparing you post-graduation. FSA provides its students with a career coach who guides each student with tips and lectures on navigating a world post-graduate. I recommend FSA to students who are eager to learn the fundamental of programming, willing to commit their time and taking each day 1% to grow. I want to give a shout-out to Alex and Elliot (my instructors), Elle (instructor aide), and Laura(career coach), thank you for believing in us. 

Signing up for Stateful Academy and graduating has been one of the best decisions of my life. As one of my good friends during the course said, "Stateful doesn't just teach people what to think, but HOW to think." No matter what challenges you may face (and you will face many), Stateful's leadership and alumni are always there to help you get through them. In addition, Stateful won't just teach you how to code, but also simulate a work environment to simultaneously prepare you for your future job as well as many more skills and external resources to prepare you even further! As of writing this review I am on my job hunt and I have been shocked reading most of these job postings that are asking for experience in external resources that I now, in fact, do have experience in. You will not regret signing up for this course as you will not only fulfill your goal of becoming an iOS Developer, but you will also become a part of a community of like-minded individuals that will become life-long connections for you in the future.

I had such great a experience learning from Data Stack Academy. Par and Alma are very flexible and supportive. The course was really fun. I was able to learn a lot of things, not just programming but also tips for interviewing and job searching. 

I am about rounding off the QuickStart Software Engineering bootcamp. It's been  a great learning experience for me. The scope could be a lot for a beginner, but there's adequate resources to help for anyone willing to put in the work. The instructors are super nice and patient in helping students learn

I came from an academic engineering background and decided to leave my PhD program in biomedical engineering to switch careers and go into software development. I found TTS through a local networking event where a regional representative told me about the bootcamps offered, and I decided to enroll in the Full Stack Web Development course. I had the absolute best time in this course! I learned so much about front-end and back-end development including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as well as specialized frameworks to create beautiful web pages and interactive applications. The back-end education and concepts we went over during our object-oriented programming in Java section were also incredibly valuable to me since I do not have a computer science degree. Overall, I would definitely recommend TTS to others who want to change careers or supplement their knowledge because the comprehensive nature of the bootcamp really allowed me to feel confident saying that I am now a full stack developer. Also the TTS community is extremely friendly, and they have been wonderful on a personal level. 

 I am a 12-week boot camp graduate, and like many of us, when I started applying for jobs, taking up challenges and interviewing, I realized there was still a lot to learn. 
 
Coding boot camps are great in taking you from zero knowledge to being able to builds things in record time, but it is hard to learn to think like a developer in such short period. This course really helped me with that. 
 
The curriculum is very vast, and it becomes difficult very fast. I struggled a lot but almost immediately I realized that I was getting better. I don't know if I will ever apply all the concepts that I learned, but it definitely leveled up my coding quality and problem solving skills.
 
The teacher has a lot of experience and he is really good at explaining complex concepts with simple examples. He also has a lot of patience and always goes the extra mile to make sure that you understand.
 
The career advice part is also really good, you get CV, LinkedIn and portfolio reviews, and mocking interviews with senior developers. 

My coursera experience has amazingly ausome. From the R coding classes to leadership and academic stimulating courses, I have gained a great insights and acquire  certification that earn me great adge in job placement and respect among my peers. I influence and mentor lots of postgraduate and undergraduate students to gain new skillsets the prepare  them well for the dynamics of today's labour'  market.

Qwasar Silicon Valley was founded by a team of dedicated and genuinely thoughtful technologists who believe in the power of learning through experience, not lectures or textbooks.  The more you put into this program, the more you will get out of it.   Support is available for questions of all types  - from fundamentals to more advanced CS topics.  There is a diverse student body that is eager to learn and support one another, and peer-based project reviews help students both learn to take constructive criticism and to digest and comment intelligently on someone else's code.  The connections with numerous companies (in the Bay Area and across the globe) help students to open doors and find meaningful employment, and as the program progresses there is a good amount of interview prep which is very practical.  I strongly recommend this program for students of all abilities who truly wish to further their technical knowledge and build a solid foundation for a career in any part of the tech industry.

All five of my rating categories being 5 stars is for a reason. My personal experience with QuickStart hasn't been a short one because occasionally staff and recruiters will still check up on me (that's impressive because it's been 2 years since I graduated).

Curriculum: Jam packed curriculum that does contain everything you'll need for tests/exams. Not sure about you, but I'd rather have a boot camp that over informs me on the topic I'm preparing for.

Instructors: I think my instructor's name was Bill. Phenomenal at what he does and an industry expert. So he gave us a heads up on when to look at certain topics and differentiate between an academia standpoint and then how it's done in practice throughout the industry.

Job Assistance: I actually got my job halfway through the course before they officially started helping. I could put N/A for this portion but I put these projects from the boot camp in my resume and know I only got the position due to having taken this boot camp. It made finishing the course harder with a new job, but I did finish things out.

Overall Experience: Typically the overall experience is an average of all other metrics and so this would naturally be a 5 star. I had some worries about how I'd pay for all this and chose one payment type, but that ended up being rough for my situation. QuickStart was actually willing to help me change back my payment method/plan to the one I should have done from the get go though so bonus points and kudos to them for being flexible. Note: I did not convince them to help me by yelling at them or acting like they owed it to me.

Lastly, if you ever get to speak to Gwen, one of the recruiters, or Bill/William, one of the instructors, they are very valuable connections to have. 

I am so happy and pleased that I found this amazing developer program! I can’t say enough how great of an experience it was. It’s really a full package course. You will learn great coding languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React in a way that makes it easy to learn. Your instructor is there every step of the way to help and support you. Your surrounded by a wonderful community of kind, helpful people that make it easy to ask for help. You get access to chats with experienced coders where you can ask questions and get valuable advice. On top of all that you get career coaching to help write your resume and build your career narrative. Mimo’s team is a great group of people that have created a beautiful program to help ANYONE learn to code. You get coding skills, career help and so much more! 

Like most people looking to level up on their professional education, I found myself wondering 'When?'. While the CvCISO Foundations Course is an extensive time commitment, Evan and his team have curated an excellent curriculum and flexible training platform. You will get the most benefit from attending live, though when life or work came first, I was easily able to review the class content and exercises. Along with that, I was able to go back and review other class content along with my notes and gain a better understanding of the topics covered. The insight and knowledge gained, along with the connections made to a community of skilled and helpful professionals far outweighs the financial cost and time commitment of these courses. I highly recommend these courses for all skill levels of information security professionals and also those looking to get in the game!! We are better when we work together!!

This program is a bit different from most. I hesitate to call it a "bootcamp" as the curriculum and mentorship is presented in an almost academic-quality manner. From the production and planning of the lessons, to the detail and depth you will get into, it begins to feel like a rigorous college program than a quick bootcamp. 

This program is designed to cover design fundamentals as well as programming. If I had to guess, I would say that maybe 1/4th of the course is strictly design related, but it is woven into the rigorous programming lessons too at times. Having a decent eye for typography, space, and color can allow you to have more intelligent conversations with co-workers, or even just guide your process when creating your own work. Typography, for example, is one of those things that once you learn even a little bit of the basic ideas - you increase your value as a developer quite a lot. Myself and my cohort have several people who have taken those design principles quite far - and the stuff they've made is genuinely impressive - certainly beyond the portfolios of other people I've seen who have not been exposed to design principles.

This program is not light on programming either. As stated, my ballpark guess is that a large majority of the course is strictly programming related. The course is basically structured in a manner that tracks the history of web development over time. For example with CSS, you start by positioning elements with floats. You then use flexbox, and then grid. For scripting, you start by introducing basic php scripting and partials, then move onto more advanced PHP principles, then WordPress as a basis for understanding frameworks. Then you do some Javascript - and follow a similar pattern. Basic JS, then more advanced concepts, then a JS framework - and so on.

The course is quite detailed. It really benefits you to work hard every day until it's over. In my experience, students who do not continually apply themselves tend to not do well in the long term. The ones that stick around and actually work end up becoming pretty freaking great. 

So is this program great? I would say so. Personally, I think it's one of the best decisions I've made - and I've went to college. I probably would have considered giving this a try before college if I knew what it would be like. Derek is great, the course is pretty fair in the sense that it increases in difficulty pretty straightforwardly. You never really feel totally lost for too long - but it has its fair share of challenges. I'm a harsh critic when it comes to a lot of things. I'm the type of person to rate an amazing movie or album an 8/10. I don't hand out high scores for things almost ever. I think this course - in terms of learning web development with some design to round you out - is a true 10/10 - and I genuinely mean that it is probably, pound for pound, the best web development program you could take if you want to get a great start in a career, or start your own development company, or what have you. I do think it is that good.

But that doesn't answer the actually important question - is this the right program for you in particular? That's a hard question to answer, because even a really good course and a truly great mentor can't prepare you for the realities of development. It is a hard field. I am currently employed after taking this course - and it's challenging. I've seen a couple cohorts where people seemed really passionate and some gave up, or slacked off, or whatever. I would say that this it depends on your temperament and personality. If you love development, if you love design, and if you love programming - then I think it's the best. But if you don't love those things and if you aren't ready to work really hard to not only pass the course, but land a job - then it is not for you. It takes genuine passion and dedication, and even being a developer now - I would be lying if I said there weren't times that I wanted to give up (and I really like programming!)

In theory, the best possible course would simply act as a mirror. Given a great curriculum and teacher - truthfully speaking, the only people who would have a hard time succeeding are people who aren't actually in love with the idea of being a developer, or something like that. I think this course is a mirror. I think given the price and scope of the material, Derek puts the ball in your court. You will, in a sense, have everything you need to succeed.
