The data engineering nanodegree did a wonderful job complementing my efforts in becoming a better data engineer. I originally came from a software engineering background and when I started the nanodegree, I had been working as a data engineer for a year. The nanodegree exposed me to various important areas of data engineering through excellent hands-on projects. These areas include data modeling, dimensional design, data warehouse design, workflow orchestration and MapReduce model.

I was able to almost utilize all of my learnings from the nanodegree to my job. Learnings such as Airflow orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, Spark data modeling and I was implement them and contribute to my own success and my department's.
Course was very practical! It was design to help not only find a job, but hit the ground running, which can put you on a faster path for a promotion!
The material was too good, kudos to the Udacity team for providing such quality material.
I liked the projects because for each project you need to use all the things that are learned in the videos.
Apart from allowing me to seriously level up, it helped me validate my ability to think and gave me a self-confidence boost which was exactly what I came looking for.
The course was excellent, it has helped me to prepare for a Self Driving Car Engineer Nanodegree. The course has substantially improved my programming skills, as well as supported understanding of the self-driving vehicles. There has been some challenging parts in the course, however everything was explained clearly from the basics to the more advanced topics.
Initially I was skeptical about pursuing the so called 'Nanodegree' offers from Udacity and the difference it has to offer from traditional free MOOCs. ThennI got the opportunity by securing a scholarship to pursue the 'Android Basics Nanodegree' track. The sheer difference in teaching material itself is the most noticeable part but for me the added support by the mentors and a dedicated channel for peers to interact and get along with course material when it gets tough is was very helpful...

The sheer difference in teaching material itself is the most noticeable part but for me the added support by the mentors and a dedicated channel for peers to interact and get along with course material when it gets tough is was very helpful. One could easily follow up with the course material at a relaxed paced even when you have a job. And with Udacity's help I was able to transition to a mobile development role within my company itself. So I would highly Udacity if you are looking forward to changing careers or even to reinvent yourself as it is totally worth it.
Solid program with great instructors!
Udacity's Data Science course is affordable and yet provides great content. The course can be challenging and some prior knowledge of coding is needed. At times, the help is not expedient and you get what you pay for. Sometimes you may run into a code example that the tutors cannot figure out.
The Nanodegree is a good stepping stone to get started in Machine Learning, however, I found the lessons and explanations to be lacking foundations compared to other courses in the area (such as "Statistical learning" from Stanford U or any University course I attended).
I also think that there is a long way for them to help you with changing career or finding new job opportunities
Good material, but projects were simple and the review for each project was terrible, the AI reviewers are very bad, nothing compared to other reviewers like Web, Android, iOS, React...
i took android basics nonodegree course a couple of months ago, honestly i liked the contents cause they were designed for my level and a had a community to talk to and ask questions if you have any, it was great !
