Read about C++

C++ is a programming language, specifically an object oriented programming language (OOP), which is a modular approach to programming that supports polymorphism, abstraction, encapsulation, and inheritance of objects in classes. While there is a learning curve to C++, it is compatible with most other programming languages. Software engineers rely on C++ to build applications, websites, operating systems, browsers, and more, but C++ is best used for gaming, system programming, and native programming.

      Tough boot camp but worth the money for it if you can afford it. Staff was great. Only issue I had was the how new a couple of my instructors were. Python was where I was really affected by it but other than that I got the support I needed. Definitely would recommend anyone looking for a boot camp to attend.

      Best Decision

      In 2022, I made the decision to pursue my lifelong dream of making video games. I started small—learning Python through free online courses—then quickly dove into Unity and C#. By 2024, I took the leap and enrolled in The Tech Academy's Game Developer Boot Camp to fully commit to my goal of mastering Unity and Unreal and launching my own indie games. What I didn’t expect was how much more I would gain along the way. Beyond game development, the program equipped me with a full-stack skill set—front- and back-end development, UI/UX design, database management, computer science principles, .NET with C#, and mobile app development. I’ve always considered myself a creative person, but before tech, I didn’t have a solid outlet. This journey helped me channel my creativity in ways I never imagined, whether through interactive web design, immersive game mechanics, or innovative app solutions. The Tech Academy didn’t just teach me how to code—it gave me the tools to bring my ideas to life. Pros* One of the biggest advantages of The Tech Academy’s program is that it’s self-paced. I was able to move quickly through the material I already understood, and take my time with concepts that took a bit longer to click. The instructors were always available when I needed support, offering quick, helpful guidance without ever making me feel rushed. What I especially valued was how the curriculum emphasized learning how to learn—how to research, troubleshoot, and teach yourself new concepts. That’s been crucial not just in school, but in preparing me for a future in tech, where self-teaching is a lifelong habit. Cons* That said, the self-paced format requires real commitment. No one’s going to chase you down or hold your hand—you’ve got to want it. There were times when the material was tough, motivation dipped, or life just got in the way. But pushing through those moments taught me resilience and built the kind of discipline you don’t always get in a traditional classroom. If you’re ready to show up for yourself and put in the work, this program gives you everything you need to succeed.

      New identity obtained

      I've been slowly teaching myself to code over the years. Then slowly learning game development online with a Udemy course. This last fall I decided to really commit to being a builder in the coming Metaverse. I wanted to learn how to actually start working on my own ideas. At first I was over my head. The pace of the course was crazy, I was learning so much, I was overwhelmed. But a few weeks in things started to click. By the end of the course I surprised myself with what I was able to create for the final project. I'm no longer a wannabe VR developer, now I am a VR developer. I still have a long ways to go, but as a developer, not a wannabe developer. :) Thank you XR Terra
