Machine learning’s overall importance is centered on its ability to process and learn from data in ways that humans cannot. This can lead to significant advancements, tremendous efficiencies, and innovations across a wide spectrum of industries. Learning machine learning programming can be important because, although the model does the learning, we still need to write code to create and manage the models, preprocess data, and analyze the results. In this program, you will discover how individuals and organizations leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) tools and technologies to strengthen implementations of data science and technological innovation. The program covers concepts of Python programming for AI, ML, and data science development. It also covers deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and architecting AI systems.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science. It is essentially teaching a computer how to mimic thinking and decision making like a human. Our goal is to create ‘thinking’ machines that can help us perform complex tasks faster and more efficiently. AI systems can analyze a lot of data, identify patterns, and make recommendations for us. Imagine a computer that can solve puzzles, recognize pictures, and even carry on an interesting conversation with people. In this program, you will explore insights into Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies, tools, and techniques. This program covers concepts of artificial intelligence, machine learning, AI in business, data science, AI in the cloud, modern applications of AI, and the future of AI.

Whether you call it web development, software engineering, or simply "coding," there's no denying the importance of software and its creators in the modern economy. Succeeding as a developer requires more than just learning one or two languages. It requires a breadth of knowledge best obtained through direct interaction with those who came before you—experienced software engineers with a passion for teaching. While our curriculum focuses mainly on full-stack JavaScript, students will explore how to think like a developer, independent of any specific technology stack.

I recommend doing a lot of research and reading several reviews before committing to a boot camp or other educational platform so that you ensure you’ll get the most out of the learning experience.
Tuition
While software developer boot camps cost can vary widely, DigitalCrafts Full-Stack Immersion program seems to be competitive with other boot camps that are full-time. I attended the Houston, TX onsite program which had the benefit of an instructor, a couple of classroom DiRs (Developer in Residences who assisted the instructor and students) and I got to learn along with classmates from many different backgrounds.
Veterans
For military veterans, the VA has approved DigitalCrafts for VET TEC. VET TEC is a government program that funds veteran job training in technology fields. VET TEC does not subtract from your GI BILL but you are required to be GI Bill eligible to qualify for the VET TEC program. VET TEC covers the cost of tuition plus allots the veteran a monthly stipend for housing during the course of the program. Check out this link to learn more about VET TEC https://www.va.gov/education/about-gi-bill-benefits/how-to-use-benefits/vettec-high-tech-program/.
Instructors
Each class has a dedicated instructor who will be with you throughout your boot camp. The DiRs are former Digital Craft graduates who are very knowledgeable, helpful and understand what it means to go through a boot camp so their assistance is inviable to the classroom. My instructor Veronica is a former NASA engineer who has many years of being a software developer which allows her to draw upon her experiences. She is also able to speak about how coding is always evolving. She goes above and beyond when it comes to helping her students set themselves up for not only classroom success but for real-world success as well. She covers the course requirements but also covers material that will help you stand out among other new software developer job seekers.
Learning Environment
If you’ve never heard of the expression, “It is like drinking from a fire hydrant.” well you have now and that is what Digital Crafts Full-Stack Immersion program is like. It is a boot camp in every sense of the word. You will wake up with coding on the mind, spend the day learning and practicing coding fundamentals, your evenings & weekends will be filled with coding homework, going over notes, rewrite notes, watching coding videos, speaking with your classmates, etc.
I thought I knew what I was getting myself into but “Oh My God!” it was that and then some. I know everyone's experiences will be different, but for me almost every moment of every day for the entire 16-week course I was consumed by coding. With hindsight, I would have come into the course better prepared. There are lots of good free and low-cost coding tutorials and courses online. Being exposed to basic Command Line, Git/GitHub, Python, and JavaScript concepts would have been a saving grace because the immersion program covers a lot of information in a very short amount of time and all that information builds upon itself. It is like being thrown in the deep part of the pool. Sure, there are lifeguards around but having floaties on and the ability to doggie paddle are nice backups to have.
Learning Onsite (The Cannon Campus) vs Learning Online
My class cohort started in early January so we got the benefit of starting out in classrooms which for those who like to learn in person like myself, was great.
Having access to the teachers, aides, and staff in real-time is really nice. Being able to get to know your classmates in a classroom environment is something that is hard to duplicate with an online-only class. A typical DigitalCrafts day started at 9 am and ended at 4 pm. The days themselves were a mix of lecture, note-taking, coding along with the instructor on your laptop, practical application, individual and team projects, along with an hour lunch break and several small breaks throughout the day.
The campus on which DigitalCrafts is located is made up of several businesses. The main building where the classrooms are located in Houston is called The Cannon https://thecannon.com/. If you’re like me and pictured working in a place that is made up of collaborative workspaces, glass-walled offices, gaming areas, free food and drink, and overall has a cool innovative feel to it, well my friend The Cannon is the place to be. An amazing bonus of our classrooms being located at The Cannon is that you get exposed to companies who are either based out of The Cannon or have satellite offices located there. These companies are known to hire DigitalCrafts alumni, some of which got offers before they even completed the immersion course.
Once the Covid-19 pandemic occurred, DigitalCrafts switched our onsite learning to online learning. While this took several days for everyone to adjust, in the end, it worked out well. Why I personally think that the biggest advantages that DigitalCrafts has over other boot camps are its instructors, DiRs, students being able to learn in a classroom and being exposed daily to companies who need software developers, overall DigitalCrafts adjusted well to a situation that no one anticipated needing to make when the class original started.
Course Work
As a reminder, I’m very new to coding but DigitalCrafts curriculum seems to be pretty well thought out and it looks to cover the popular software that companies, where DigitalCrafts are located, are looking for when bringing in new software developers.
I researched several boot camps in my area and they all seem to have a slightly different mix of software being covered. I highly recommend that you do your research to make sure you are learning something that will be useful in the present and future job markets.
Areas To Improve Upon
This could be something that DigitalCrafts is in the process of working on since everyone had to adjust to the new Covid-19 world that we all find ourselves in but DigitalCrafts need more video content that students can reference. Once an instructor has covered a topic, a pre-recorded, edited version of that day’s topics, with resource links, zip files, etc... should be easily accessible to the student. While I feel that nothing can truly replace an actual instructor that students can learn from in real time, resources like these would be extremely helpful for students to refer to over lunch breaks, after school hours, on weekends, etc.
“It’s not a race” is something that I thought of often while sitting in class as information was being disseminated at my classmates and me at what felt like ludicrous speed. While there is a lot of information to be covered in a relatively short amount of time, going at a pace where students know that there will be pausing for note-taking, troubleshooting, etc... will lessen the likely hood that students have to battle between note-taking (and possibly getting behind on what the instructor is coding), following along with the code (and getting behind on note-taking) or troubleshooting a random error (and falling behind on both note-taking and whatever the instructor is covering). Students need notes to refer to later. They also need to follow along with the lecture and code that is being presented. Allowing students time to do both helps everyone. Students will absorb information better and instructors will spend less time reteaching information that was already covered.
Final Thoughts
I recommend attending DigitalCrafts Full-Stack Immersion program. The instructors are knowable, they care about the well being of their students and want them to be successful. The information being covered is UpToDate and in demand. The tuition is reasonable when compared to other full-time full-stack programs. The office staff is active and works for your success. The alumni are extremely active and the school is all about networking and leveraging those connections when it comes to getting you exposed to companies that are hiring. DigitalCrafts seems to be willing to adapt so that it is offering prospective, current, and former students a product that has great value. If you prepare yourself for the workload, don’t give up no matter what and be willing to learn, you will make it through the immersion program. Companies value DigitalCrafts students as evident by how many former DigitalCrafts students are current software developers and engineers.
I hope this writeup and review helps. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about what it was like going to DigitalCrafts. Stay learning, flexible in thought, and Semper Fi!

I would recommend DigitalCrafts to anyone that is committed to transitioning into full-stack software development. During the 17-week full-time program I experienced tremendous growth and was able to build much greater things than I expected. On the 17th week I was accepted into an internship and it's because of this bootcamp. During the full-time bootcamp it is up to you and how hard you are willing to apply yourself during this time. If you need to recharge, recharge. However, if you have free time, commit it to learning new technologies or improving existing skills. As I write this, I am now familiarizing myself with an entirely new codebase and beginning work with 40 other developers. The curriculum keeps you moving and lays an important foundation for new developers. Also, I would recommend Veronica as an instructor. If you're willing to work hard and you aren't just trying to "get by" - this bootcamp will be great for you.
DigitalCrafts was an amazing find. It's become a monumental pivoting point in my life especially going through a career change. I couldn't have imagined a better guiding hand. Not only do I know what I need to know to be in IT; I know how to get there, how to stay progressing in success, and I have the connections and support to do so. Thank you guys for everything!

I am a graduate from Digital Crafts. I attended the full time web development bootcamp online for four months starting in July of 2022, and have since then got my first job in software development / web development with the experience and knowledge I attained from attending Digital Crafts. There is no doubt in my mind that without the leg up I attained from a curriculum in web development as well as my fantastic instructor Veronica, that I would not have been able to land my first job in the field. Despite the fantastic experience I had with DC, there is a few things I would like to make any prospective boot camp students aware of before paying the price of admission.
1. You get out what you put into it. If you are thinking that you will be able to coast through this course like a college or highschool course, get a certificate, then get a web development job, you may, but you probably won't. More than anything else the experience and skills you gain from attending all the classes, getting a grasp on all the material offered, and being able to demonstrate your aptitude is what's going to get you a job. Having a credential/ certificate is nice, but with no experience you have to have the knowledge and projects to back you up when going on interviews.
2. It's possible to go into this with no prior coding experience and succeed, but you really should not! Going into any boot camp you will hear and read "No prior knowledge of coding necessary!". This is true, but this is not what I did, and I believe going in with a basic understanding of OOP helped me learn more and learn faster than my classmates who were completely fresh to every single topic. It's not impossible to catch up, but during your time attending DC you will have to run twice as fast to learn half as much, and as I said earlier, the more you can perform the better off you will be when you finish. I would highly recommend going through some basic programming material for a couple months before making the commitment, it will help a ton in my estimation.
3. Job assistance... As you may have read from other reviews there is not guarantee that DC will do anything to get you a job after graduation. Despite some saying they do nothing, I think that is bogus, as there are networking opportunities, seminars, and the door is always open with staff members who work in career services who will give you specific detailed advice and guidance on what you need to do and how you need to do it to get your first job. It is also true that there's a good chance you can be hired as a TA ( teachers assistant ) by DC after you completed the course which will give you the experience you need to go somewhere else. It's not the best Job assistance in the world, as they will not hold your hand to your next position they picked out for you, but DC will give you what you need to move in the right direction.
4. I've heard some things... During my time at DC I have heard some things that I would be remiss not to disclose here. I heard from one of my classmates who knew somebody that was taking the same course with a different instructor in part-time web development that there was a lot of funny business going on. It seemed that the quality of the classes/ assistance from the instructor was lackluster and something I definitely would not be happy about had I experienced myself. That being said this is word of mouth, I don't really know, but I would highly recommend if you want to attend, you do the full-time any way as I think it is a much better structure to begin with.
5. The Curriculum itself. The curriculum itself is pretty good. It covers full-stack web development pretty deeply for the amount of time you actually spend learning and practicing material. That being said, In hindsight I wish the course had a larger focus in back-end web development with a server side language. No matter what part of web development you strive with, you may need to allocate serious time keep learning more languages/frameworks after the fact to fill in some missing skills from your resume before you get your first position.
That is pretty much all I have to report about the bootcamp. If I could go back in time I would chose to attend this bootcamp every single time. The people that I met there were all absolutely fantastic, and the fact that it accomplished for me what it was supposed to accomplish means I really have nothing to complain about. Despite that, I believe that coding bootcamps are not for everyone, and you really have to consider what you are capable of before you sign up and pay for any bootcamp.
Thomas - Congratulations on your job as a Full Stack Web Developer at Webever Technologies! First off, I appreciate you taking the time to write your review. While it means a lot to our team, reviews really benefit future students when they are deciding which program to choose. For that, I want to thank you. Second, thanks for providing helpful feedback in several key areas of our program based on your experience. We are always striving to improve, and we couldn’t do that without feedback from our graduates. Congratulations and we hope to see you around as an alumni!

I recently graduated Digitalcrafts that I have to say was a complete waste of time and money. I recently graduated Digitalcrafts that I have to say was a complete waste of time and money. In fact, I would go so far as to say that it was one of the worst educational experiences I have ever had. Here are some of the reasons why I would not recommend this bootcamp to anyone.Firstly, the course was not worth the money that I paid for it. The instructors were just alumni of the same bootcamp who had limited real-world experience as developers, although they were very nice and supportive. Instructors and TA felt more like tutors instead. This was a significant disadvantage as I felt I could have learned more from a comprehensive Udemy course. Many days were just spent watching YouTube tutorials and discussing basic concepts, which is something that can be done for free. Secondly, the curriculum was designed for everyone to pass, so there was no pressure to push myself or strive for excellence. There were no graded assignments or homeworks, which meant that I could not get feedback from the instructors on my progress. All I needed to graduate was to complete one full-stack project at the end of the course, prepare a resume and a portfolio.Thirdly, there was little to no job assistance, which is one of the main reasons people choose to attend a coding bootcamp in the first place. Despite the promises made during the enrollment process, I did not receive any help finding a job in the industry after I graduated. I felt like I was left to fend for myself.Additionally, much of the material covered in the bootcamp was available for free online. So, it was frustrating to realize that I wasted $10,000 on this bootcamp that I could have used to purchase a comprehensive Udemy course for a fraction of the cost. Finally, the bootcamp sent me their certificate of completion with the wrong graduation year. This careless mistake highlighted their unprofessionalism and lack of attention to detail. Frankly, I do not believe that this certification would hold any weight in the job market. In conclusion, I would strongly advise anyone looking to learn coding to stay away from this bootcamp. The program is not worth the money, instructors have limited real-world experience, and the curriculum is designed to cater to the lowest common denominator. I hope that this review will help someone else avoid making the same mistake I did.
Hey Kevin - Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We appreciate your feedback and are always open to finding ways to improve. We are sorry to hear that your educational experience did not meet your expectations. We truly are. With that being said, we are still very much here to offer support in preparation for your job search. I will be reaching out to you directly to introduce you to our team members who can help as you look for your first software developer role. I would also be open to speaking with you directly to learn more about your experience if that is of interest to you.
While people have different learning styles, the environment in which we instruct students, both online and in-person, is designed to be challenging and current. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive environment, which is core to our values. Our operations team, student success team, instructors, and leadership continue to be focused on preparing students in the classroom, and for life after class.
Lastly, I know we sent you an updated certificate already, and we apologize for this oversight.
Please do not hesitate to reach out – I am happy to further discuss your experience with you.

Before committing to DC, I scoured Course Report (and the rest of the net) in order find the perfect program for me. Ultimately, I'm very glad that I chose to attend DC and have not looked back! There's no BS when it comes to their approach to alternative software development education. They don't guarantee a job, instead they prepare you for the market with realistic expectations and give you all the tools you need in order to apply and interview well. Also, their Student Success team regularly posts opportunities in Slack and you have them at your disposal for life after graduating.
Also, the instructors were all fantastic! I had Dre as the lead and Dez as my TA and they were rockstars. Veronica subbed for a few days while Dre was out and she was great as well! Lastly, everyone on staff always seemed happy and supported by the higher ups at DC and that trickles down to the students.
I highly suggest checking them out for yourself! Contact a recruiter and ask more questions. Complete their intro course to get an idea of what their style is like. I'm confident that you'll enjoy the program as much as I did!

I loved my instructor (she is extremely knowledgeable and intelligent!) and loved learning Python and React. I selected to attend DigitalCrafts because they were a top bootcamp that included Python in their curriculum. DigitalCrafts also provides small scholarships to women and minorities, which I qualified for and was helpful with the tuition. Overall, I had a great experience, and after graduation was hired on as a TA, which I really enjoy! The only feedback I have is that it seems most people that apply are accepted into the program. I think there should be a higher standard for admissions, but, I also think this happens with bootcamps in general. 5-Stars!

Coming to DigitalCrafts, I had absolutely no experience in coding. I was very nervous to jump into the coding world, but I am so glad that I did. Best Decision!
I ended up narrowing it down to Digital Crafts as my bootcamp of choice after researching options for 4 months and couldn't have been happier. The in demand skills they provided along with the small class sizes were what really sealed the deal for me. That along with how great my instructor was really made it an overall amazing experience. I would highly recommend DC especially if you want to learn react and redux (in demand job skills currently). I have no complaints, but I think if you...

I would highly recommend DC especially if you want to learn react and redux (in demand job skills currently). I have no complaints, but I think if you are like me and enjoy smaller class sizes and are considering DC, it's important to ask how many students they cap at. Mine was 10 students and apparently there was a smaller cohort before me as well, so it seems like it really varies on how many people are applying and are accepted in.
DigitalCrafts exceeded my expectations. I went in with the expectation that I was there to learn and that the job search may take some time after I graduated (because I was going in with no experience). I went in with the expectation that I was there to learn and that the job search may take some time after I graduated (because I was going in with no experience). One of the things that I loved about DigitalCrafts was the fact that my instructor, Joe, and the student success team encouraged students to start applying to jobs about half way through the bootcamp in order to get a head start. They were all very supportive of helping you with your resume, portfolio, online presence, and any questions you had. The career services portion at DigitalCrafts was amazing. I graduated from DigitalCrafts on Wednesday and I am starting a full time position as a software engineer on Monday.
As far as the curriculum, I felt that it was fast paced, but definitely doable if you are focused. Coming in with no knowledge of web development, I can say that I now feel confident building and learning to build websites in new languages. I can tell that DigitalCrafts focused on teaching us the most relevant technologies and made a great effort to stay up to date with the industry.
My instructor, Joe, was so helpful when my classmates and I didn't understand something and he encouraged us to keep asking questions. Joe would take the time to help you understand further and encouraged us that if we didn't understand right away, that it would come with time. This helped my mindset a lot as I was completing the bootcamp. You can tell that the people at DigitalCrafts actually care!!
Overall, I had an extremely positive experience with DigitalCrafts and recommend it to anyone looking to break into the tech industry!!

Prior to joining DigitalCrafts (DC), I researched several bootcamps, narrowing it down to two that I felt would best serve me in my career change journey. Prior to joining DigitalCrafts (DC), I researched several bootcamps, narrowing it down to two that I felt would best serve me in my career change journey. I highly recommend doing your homework and understanding what you are getting into, as any bootcamp experience is a large undertaking. That being said, I am so happy I decided to go with DC. A few things that set this program apart for me included it being a 16 week program (as opposed to 10-12 weeks for other comparable bootcamps), the robust curriculum, career support, and stellar reviews.
My instructor, Veronica, was hands down AMAZING. I'm so happy to have known and worked with her. Veronica knows her craft very well, and that shines through all she does during instruction. She understands the learning process, makes a commitment to presenting information in a variety of formats, and scaffolds instruction appropriately based on student needs. Veronica not only teaches you the how, she makes a point to explain the WHY behind the concepts. This is important because this seemingly small difference in instruction makes a difference when it comes time for you to learn on your own. If you expect any bootcamp experience to teach you all you need to know about programming, you need to take a step back and reconsider what you are signing up for. No program is going to be able to teach you everything you need to know, and if they claim that, please just walk away. Software development is an ever-growing and changing field, and part of your role in that field is to be adaptable. It is easier to do that if you know the right questions to ask and have a wealth of background knowledge to draw from. That is the experience you can hope to gain with DC and Veronica's instruction.
Aside from day-to-day instruction, you will also find strong career support and a community of developers in DC's network. To say I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of people I found willing to help me along on my journey is an understatement. I've felt supported from day one. All of the employees at DC really truly care about your success and growth.
All of this to say, take some time to make your decision. Understand what you are signing up for. Ask questions. Review the curriculum. Make sure you're in a good spot financially to make the best of this experience. I am 100% happy that I chose DC, and I would highly recommend this program to others, but please make sure you're making the right decision for you.
