    Great, modern course

Really enjoyed this 8 week certificate course on Product Management.  The instructors are extremely engaging and get the class really involved in discussions. They have extensive industry experience, which is important especially in Product Management, where the rules vary from industry to industry.  The coursework itself is kept well up to date and is very project oriented rather than test oriented, which I appreciated.  The facility is modern and centrally located in Wynwood.  Easy to get in and out of with the badging system and has a nearby secure parking garage.

    Awesome intro to Marketing

Such a great experience being in this class. I had so much fun learning, marketing basics, and I’m excited to take what I’ve learned into my current and future roles. The final project was a great opportunity to learn a more hands on approach of a marketing campaign.

    Brainstation

Hello Everybody I will be sharing my experience about the course.

I started with zero knowledge, I feel grateful I went through the program because I got to learn many different tools like excel, SQL, Tableau, Kaggle to a enough level to get things done on small projects

The best way to take advantage of the course will be put into practice the concepts taught on class dedicating some time beyond the classroom, so plan on putting extra hours outside of class to make the most of it

The fact they have 2 tutors during the class was great that way one was able to work on the assigment and the other to give guidance to those that have questions.

    Solid Course

Course provided a great overview of SQL but I would have liked this course at a faster pace. For example, I feel like the 3 hour course could be condensed down into 2 with the last hour being optional if additional assistance is wanted

    Supportive and Comprehensive Bootcamp Experience

I just graduated from a software engineering bootcamp, and it was a great experience. The TAs were incredibly helpful, and the instructors were mostly competent and encouraging. The curriculum was broad and well-structured, allowing us to build a complete portfolio by the end. The bootcamp also provided strong career support and networking opportunities.

The bootcamp fostered a friendly and collaborative environment among students, where everyone was eager to learn and help each other out.

My advice: have some foundational knowledge before starting, as the pace can be intense. Don’t be afraid to ask your instructors, TAs, and even your classmates for help.

Overall, I’m truly grateful for this journey—it allowed me to absorb a vast amount of knowledge in a short period, and I met so many interesting and inspiring people.

    Awesome Python Course for Beginners!

I recently completed a five week Python course that shown to be a very helpful experience on my coding journey. The course was led by two DS industry professionals and was designed to optimize learning within five 3.5 hour lectures over five weeks while accommodating varying levels of prior experience with programming. The two instructors brought a lot of experience and knowledge to the course. Their teaching styles also complemented each other, which made for five interesting sessions over the course. One instructor focused on ensuring the class had the time within the courses to ask questions to clarify understanding while the other was really good at pointing to the must-know points within the topics covered. Both were approachable and responsive which ensured the class felt they can ask questions and receive a timely response.
The curriculum covered a range of Python topics, from basics, to more advanced data types, manipulating data, and even fundamentals of algorithms. The course also shows to set up and an environment to actually write and run your code using a Jupyter Notebook. We also had access to a variety of BrainStation resources to assist learning and career coaching services. The instructors also were awesome at providing external resources that are must-know sites to assist in understanding the Python libraries; very important in Data Science. This course definitely exceeded my expectations and I recommend enrolling if you need a foundational Python course to set you on your way in your coding journey!

    Good introduction to Product Management

I would recommend the course to anyone who wants to learn the fundamentals of what a PM does and how to do it. If you come from a tech background (e.g. Software Engineer, UI/UX, etc), then portions of the content will not be new. Good opportunity to network in you do it in person. Also, if you have a software business idea you have not taken the first step in then I would recommend taking this course. There was some disconnect with the curriculum.

This was a whirlwind experience but I’m so grateful for all I have learned. Definitely not for the faint of heart, you will not have any free time. But if you are willing to fully commit to the process you will come out on the other side with a wealth of new knowledge, ready to take the next step in your career.

    Recommend!

"I am just two classes away from completing the data analytics course, and honestly, I couldn't be more saddened that it's coming to an end. My experience has been nothing short of enriching and comprehensive. The instructors are knowledgeable and engaging, providing real-life examples. As I transition from the mortgage banking industry into IT, I was initially apprehensive, but the supportive community in our classroom has given me the confidence to continue this journey. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to build a strong foundation in data analytics. Thank you, BrainStation!"

Tough but great experience all round 5*

rAll in all an incredible experience. Very tough at times, a number of my cohort from good educational backgrounds actually had to drop out, but the quality of the teaching, learning materials and the all-round experience was always next-level. Despite the intensity, given the 3 month course length there were certainly areas that would have been great to dive into in more detail but BrainStation probably struck just about the right balance in terms of content covered, depth and amount we were pushed as students given the time available. In the end A LOT of ground is covered in the time and there will always be plenty of links, challenges and learning materials shared that will keep you learning long after the course. Whilst there are other options out there which may be better given your circumstances (e.g uni courses which may offer more depth over a longer period of time), as far as the bootcamp formula goes you can't really fault BrainStation.

For me it's 5*s all round with the only exception being the job assistance but this is purely on the basis that I manage to sort a role through my own connections. The support was professionally run and particularly for people earlier on in their careers, the job assistance along with BrainStation's industry connections and the professional development resources available throughout the course would definitely be of real value.

Highly recommend although I would say get your maths, python and sql up to scratch before enrolling and certainly don't go into this lightly. It'll likely take over your life for 3 months but if you put the effort in you'll get a lot out of it.

Great support from the career's team!

This review is for the post-bootcamp careers programme (which helped me land my first UX role within 4 months of job applying).I found the job searching experience to be very difficult especially during the recession, but throughout the 6 months, I received continued support from the careers team in helping identify how to network efficiently, creating a timetable that helped job hunting without feeling burnt out, and optimising every aspect of a job application. The careers team were always just a message away when I needed advice on the job app process – I had many 1-to-1 calls and mock interviews throughout to ensure I was on track and also gain confidence going into interviews. Although the support was always there, I want to preface that just like the bootcamp itself, the success of the programme is mainly down to your proactiveness to seek opportunities and how much effort and time you put into the job search. The careers team is mainly there to guide you towards the right direction and act as a soundboard for advice so I highly recommend making full use of it while job searching.

    Good

It's a great course. It pushed me to the wall to study Data Analytics since I was not very motivated to do so before the course yet here I am on a Wednesday morning going to practice analyzing data. The course is mainly a guide so don't expect it to teach you everything , you'll do most of the work. Anyways I loved the project work and wish we could do more.
