    Great Teachers

The course provides a substantial amount of information, which can feel overwhelming at times, but it is made manageable and engaging by the incredible teachers. These instructors have an exceptional understanding of the subject matter, as they are professionals actively working in their respective fields, bringing real-world expertise.

Online classes are not worth the money or time

Instructors reading a slide deck does not count as teaching. I recently finished the online UI Design certificate course. It consisted of 8 weekly online classes, each primarily a 3 hour lecture. I and many other students already had some base knowledge in UI design and for us this course had very little new information.

Any claim that this course was innovative or taught by expert instructors was a lie. Yes, the instructors were professionals in their field, but certainly not experienced at teaching a pedagogically effective way. I was not alone among my classmates in feeling this way.

    Pros:
    - get to choice own project to work on, which makes a good portfolio piece at the end
    - content of material was generally well structured with links to learn more

    Cons:
    - 3 hour online lectures with minimal interactivity is not accessible learning for students with ADHD
    - no content outside of class, just the lecture. Exercises and mini assignments would have been very helpful
    - very expensive for what it was. There are cheaper and better options
    - most material is far too basic for people who've done some design work or spent time learning on their own

    Absolutely loved it

I have completed Brainstation's Software Engineering bootcamp in person in London and really loved the experience. The work itself, the educators and the campus experience were all top tier. It's a well developed course with lots of practical opportunities, interesting lectures and projects which reflect industry-standard professional practices. The people were all great and I had a lot of fun working with other learners on fast-paced projects. I would 100% recommend the bootcamp for anyone considering a career transition. Expect to work hard and prep as much as you can, it's fast paced!

    Great Program and Instructors

I had a genuinely great experience in BrainStation's 12-week online software engineering bootcamp. The program challenged me in unexpected ways, and I had the opportunity to meet some incredible people with whom I built lasting friendships. The course culture is highly supportive, fostering the development of both skills and confidence needed to enter the workforce and build a successful career. Were there some shortcomings? Of course—no program is perfect. I wish we had spent more time on AI integration and user authorization. However, each lesson is accompanied by an extensive library of resources to help fill in any gaps, and the instructors are truly exceptional. If you ever have questions or need support, you can count on your cohort and the education team to be there, providing encouragement and guidance.

    Informative and Practical

Great experience at the Brainstation Bootcamp. The teachers were very helpful and I gained a lot of practical knowledge and experience learning software engineering. It was definitely a tough commitment to do full-time for 12 weeks and the bootcamp was very fast-paced, so it may not be for everyone, but for those who truly want to learn software fast, Brainstation is a great place to not just dip your toes in the war but cannonball into the pool.

    Extremely Insightful

The course has been really insightful and has taught me a great deal about digital marketing and nagivating different datasets. I have learned a lot for my own business regarding Google Analytics and ads and how to use them efficiently for my purposes.

Jad Freiha and Jonathan Serrano Barbosa are wonderful instructors, and teach really well.

    In-Person Quality Time

I had a positive experience here.  Two in-industry instructors rounded each other's expertise, which allowed me to feel like the instruction was relevant.  That a being said, being that the course was only once a week for 8-weeks, it would have fallen far short of being an in-depth, comprehensive class or bootcamp.  If you are someone without any skills in UI/UX and are looking for an introduction, this would be the course--however, the cost is a little pricey for information that you could pick up online for a fraction or free.  The real strength of this course is the In-Person aspect, which for me is indispensable in education.  The feedback from instructors in the industry is additionally indispensable.

    Helpful, Improvement, Insight

I really enjoyed the UX Design course at BrainStation. I started with no knowledge of making a story-telling prototype with supportive instructors in my class. I lacked a lot of confidence however, with 1:1 reviews and being independent with my design, I have learned so much just being in the classroom environment.

    Product Management Course

Tech is rapidly growing and having certifications is a must add on any resume. Coming from a background of project and program manager, I was familiar wit many of the concepts related to product management but not all of them. It was a nice learning experience to dive into product and how product managers do wear many different hats and deal with many different stakeholders.
I would recommend this course to someone that is looking to do a career change, someone new to the tech field, or someone experienced that wants/needs a certification.
Scott was very fun and dynamic teaching the course. Him and Rafa provided a lot of real-world examples and made the class very hands on.
Might take the Data Analytics one next :)
