Springboard is an online learning platform that prepares students for the tech industry’s most in-demand careers with comprehensive, mentor-led online programs in software engineering, data science, UI/UX design, cybersecurity, tech sales, healthcare, and more. All Springboard courses are 100% online, remote, and self-paced throughout an average of 6-9 months. Springboard acts as a support system, coach, and cheerleader for working professionals who are ready to level-up or make a major career shift. Students have access to a unique community of industry mentors, thought leaders, and alumni, who are on hand to offer insights, networking opportunities, and support throughout the program and well past graduation. Every Springboard student is matched with a personal student advisor and industry mentor who guides them throughout the program through regular video calls.
To apply, applicants fill out an online form, take an aptitude test, then talk with a school representative about their background and motivations. For the data science career track a background in statistics and/or programming is required. For the UX career track, students should have academic or professional background in user design or development-oriented fields.
Before graduation, Springboard’s career services team supports students in their job search, helping prepare them for interviews and networking, and facilitates their transition into the tech industry. Springboard's programs are backed with a Money-Back Guarantee.
Springboard’s support does not end when students graduate. All graduates benefit from an extensive support network encompassing career services, 1:1 career coaching, networking tips, resume assistance, interview prep, and salary negotiation. Since Springboard was founded in 2013, 94% of eligible graduates secured a job within one year, earning an average salary increase of $26,000.

Hard work, great pay off
I was in the Data Science Career Track course. This course was a bit expensive, but I was motivated by the job guarantee, and that a data science job would help me to afford the loan payments at the end of the course. I was able to get a job the month before I completed the course! I am making $78,000 at my entry level Data Science position in Texas.
I was applying for Data Science jobs since before starting the course, and as I progressed I saw improvements in my applications. Having the Career Service advisor's help looking over my resume and LinkedIn. After 2 months I began receiving skill assessments from my applications, 3-4 months in the course I was finally getting into the first round of interviews, and after 6 months I was getting call backs for 2nd round interviews.
The assignments early on prepared me very well for the skill assessments I was receiving. I applied to IBM for an entry level position early in the course, and I felt confident just from what I had done in preparation for the Guided Capstone (the first project SpringBoard has you work on). While I didn't pass this assessment it was good to see that what I was actively learning was something I was going to see out in the real world. Now in my current job, I am already utilizing the skills I learned during this course at my job.
The course however is tough to keep up with, and it did take me 8 months instead of the advertised 6. I felt like a lot of important information at the end was very glossed over, while the middle of the course had some very in-depth projects. I understand it's done this way on purpose so you can focus on your final project but I do wish there had been more information in times series, SQL, and tools we would likely be asked to use on the job (like Power BI, Tableau, etc.). My current job is very Excel heavy and using pivot tables, and a quick assignment covering some of the basic skills a we might use (beyond the normal basics) could prepare a new hire for success.Overall4.0Curriculum4.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0 -

Be prepared to work hard for your success!
Software Engineering isn't for everyone, so make sure you understand what the day-to-day and challenging parts of an SE career are like by talking to developers in the field. This program is intensive, but even so, expect to dive deeper into books, docs, and other sources outside of the material to learn if you are new to programming. The mentorship program is wonderful and this camp will help you build lots of projects for your portfolio. You have unlimited access to career coaches so make sure you take advantage of their help when it comes to your job search and hit those data structures, algorithms, and leetcode early on in the course to prepare yourself for the job search.Overall4.0Curriculum4.0Job support4.0Instructors5.0 -

Software Engineering Career Prep
I tried learning software development on my own but it was slow and inefficient. I thought I would try the prep course to feel things out and was blown away. The course is unbelievably well laid out and understandable. I started with very limited exposure to coding and just took my time with the content. I struggled briefly with the final assessment because they really challenge you. I appreciate the challenge and studied/practiced what they provided and managed to pass the next time. It felt so good to solve the problems on my own. I feel much more confident going into the career track now.Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0 -

Great experience
I had a great experience. The course was relatively easy to follow and both mentors and Springboard team were very professional. They were very prompt about any questions I had, and always offered support for any issues that came up. A challenging course, but not beyond my initial expectations.Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support4.0Instructors5.0 -

UI/UX Design Career Track Program
I just completed Springboard's UI/UX program and can confidently say that this was the best decision I made! Before starting the program, I researched numerous other boot camps and although Springboard was on the pricier side, it also offered the most benefits. Yes, other boot camps may have things they do that Springboard doesn't but what drew me in was the amount of mentorship and career support they had to offer. Weekly calls with an assigned mentor, career mentorship throughout the program (plus weekly/bi-weekly career support once you finish), and support within the Springboard community. I will say, if you are thinking about Springboard, take advantage of the unlimited mentor calls! Even though I had an assigned mentor that I met with on a weekly basis, sometimes I needed a different perspective on things or just some extra help and having those unlimited mentor calls helped me out a ton!Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job supportN/AInstructors5.0 -

I don't see any cons with Springboard. Mentors, career counsellors, student advisors are all great . All the mentors are great and knowledgable in their feild. The pros that I felt are note worthy are flexible hours, mentors are so full of knowledge, the way curriculum is organised and the job guarantee program. The main reason to take up this course was, It had the flexibility, everything was structured like mentor calls, projects, and the way all the topics were self explanatory.Overall5.0Curriculum5.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0 -

Data Science Career Track Review
I am very satisfied with the overall experience. Shortly after finishing I was able to land a job in Data Science (in Germany- I am German). The material provides a great overview on the topic, though some of it could be improved. The mentor calls were extremely helpful and motivating for me. Career support was also great.Overall4.0Curriculum4.0Job support5.0Instructors4.0 -

Data Science Career Track
Pros:
Datacamp resource - I really liked in-browser coding paired with short lecture videos to be very effective to get practice with the key parts of data science problem solving. There were lots of practice exercises that helped give me a better understanding of the concepts.
Mentorship - I really liked my mentor, he was very experienced and had lots of industry knowledge, and it was obvious he had a strong grasp of the subject matter. As a part of the curriculum you work on 2 Capstone projects, and several other ad-hoc projects with the guidance of your mentor. My mentor provided helpful feedback and advice for lot of the machine learning methods I tried and gave me a starting point to work on the project.
Cons: Many parts of Springboard curriculum is just reading articles on data science or youtube recordings which can be find online. The video/audio quality was not the best. I think it would have been much better for Springboard to make some videos covering perhaps similar material but improve audio and video quality and create a more cohesive curriculum instead of many seemingly unrelated videos.
Also, none of the assignments have answer keys provided to students, so there are not many ways to check your work. The machine learning unit's videos and assignments are almost entirely taken from a college class. The ad hoc projects were useful to get practical examples to refer to, but a few lectures from the class did not feel adequately sufficient to develop a good understanding of machine learning concepts and AI techniques.Overall3.0Curriculum3.0Job support3.0Instructors3.0 -

Very Thorough!
If you have a baseline knowledge of statistics, business and Excel then this is a very great course! Personally, I did not have any knowledge of Excel prior to this course and very little in business and finances, so it took me a bit longer to finish the course. However, beyond that, the SQL, Python, and Tableau/Power BI skills were amazing and intuitive. Highly recommend!Overall4.0Curriculum5.0Job support5.0Instructors5.0 -

Waste of money
I don’t write reviews, but I have to write this particular review and warn others to be careful. Springboard doesn’t teach you anything for their Data Science track program. Don’t waste your good credit score, you will end up being in debt. Their curriculum is poor, and their mentorship program sucks so badly. They basically don’t add any value to you as a student. You will still end up being jobless and in debts due to some hidden clauses in their contracts.
If your goal in going to Springboard is to get a job, as was mine, then go to Udemy or Data camp and save money. Springboard charges $7500 for their Data Science Track whilst you can get those same courses on Udemy or data camp for as little as $25.
My girlfriend warned me not to registered for springboard, but I didn’t listen to her and went ahead to register for springboard tuition deferred payment. Four months down in the program, I traveled internationally with the approval from my springboard mentor, only to return two months’ afterwards and springboard had canceled my class. No word from my mentor or any of the springboard administrators, only for me to get a bill (six months after they canceled me from the course) asking me to pay $7500. What the fuck? Why didn’t you send me a bill immediately you canceled me from the program if I owed you? Why wait 6 months afterwards and now telling me to pay you $7500? I am still talking to my lawyers to fight this reap off and unprofessional conduct of Springboard as the debt is now referred to collection agencies. One of their representatives contacted me by email apologizing for their unprofessional conduct but the apology hasn’t wiped off the bill. I still have to pay them $7500 through the collection agency.
Please don’t let springboard mess you up and mess your credit score too like they have done to me. Find a better and cheaper learning platforms like Udemy and Data camp. Also, learn to listen to your girlfriend or wife.

Hello,
Thank you for your review and bringing our attention to this issue. Here at Springboard we set a really high standard to support our students towards a positive learning experience and securing a job in the field upon graduating, and are truly sorry that that standard was not met while you were in the course.
Our Data Science Career Track is one of our longest running and most established programs that we offer, with a proven history of over 92% of grads landing a job in the field within one year of graduating, and an average increase of over $23,000 between their pre- and post-course salaries. The curated curriculum consists of the most cutting edge resources available to learn from, as selected by our team of industry experts and instructional designers. Additionally, we also have an extensive career curriculum integrated directly into the data science curriculum so that students can prepare to land their dream job simultaneously as they develop their technical skills.
Furthermore, we offer an extensive support system to all of our students. This includes weekly 1:1 mentorship calls with a data science professional throughout the duration of the course, 1:1 meetings with career coaches, and assigned student advisors to provide assistance with online learning, time management, and ensuring that students are set up for success.
We recognize that life happens and sometimes students need to step away from the course for a time, and we have a formalized process for students to take breaks in these instances by working together with their student advisor. This process is covered in detail during orientation and there is ample information available on the student 'Help' page in the course dashboard as well. It sounds like this process may have been misunderstood in your case, and if that was due to a miscommunication on our part, then we sincerely apologize.
We are always open to reviewing issues like this on a case-by-case basis and will work with students individually to find a fair solution, especially if the issue was due to any shortcoming on Springboard's part. If you felt that there was anything we could have done better to support you towards a successful experience in the course, we value that feedback and would love to hear from you. Please feel free to contact advising@sprinboard.com and schedule a call with us.
Thank you once again for your review and we look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Dave Austin
