 I have been studying with HyperionDev for around a month now and have been very impressed with the content and support on offer thus far. The documentation provided along with instructional videos and other resources have been excellent and have made it easy for me to make rapid progress in my learning (for reference I have a high level of mathematical competency, but have done little to no coding previously). I did have a few issues onboarding onto the course, but the support staff have been very quick to rectify these and supportive of any queries submitted in a timely manner. I have yet to fully engage with the job support on offer, so have not given this a top rating, but I have already received emails of job noticeboards etc and plan to make use of the career coaching offer moving forwards.  Read less

the course is good and descriptive on the topics, i feel like some of the tasks that you ask to complete, certain steps are not outlined clearly on the pdfs or videos, and would probably require mentor calls, and having so few calls it probably isnt enough. I dont think there should be a limit on the mentor calls, it defeats the purpose of the bootcamp to me by having limited access to help, it kind of feels like you guys are saying heres the information, read it and teach yourself, however since i didnt need to use any calls this probably doesnt apply to me. The web development boot camp was a good experience for me as it introduced me to the world of programming. The instructions were very clear in most cases but the program is quite challenging and requires dedication and lots of research but the support was great. In general, I am happy with the boot camp and the support I received from the team. Considering many of the students are new to coding, an introductory videos for each task to explain general concepts students can follow will be beneficial and will save lots of time. However, the student support team was very helpful. Alex was always there to answer questions that I had. I am happy to have been part of this boot camp and looking forward to using my newly learnt skills in HTML, python and NodeJS to make a change.

HyperionDev's Data Science Bootcamp is amazing for beginners who have never coded before. The cirriculum is comprehensive and guides you through the journey of writing your first code. If you ever get stuck on a task or need extra assistance in order to understand a component of the task, mentors are on hand for 1:1 calls. The mentors are friendly and willing to guide you to additional resources when to help you understand and explore concepts better for future use and available within 24 hours (full time students, guidelines vary for part time students).

Each task has an expected due date in order to help keep you on track, but tasks are graded even when submitted after the due date. Time management skills are a must, but made easy with the dates they provide.

Some tasks (called Capstone Projects) are larger tasks that require you to integrate the knowledge you learned in previous tasks to complete and can be used for your portfolio. Read less
