I genuinely had a great time at HyperionDev. I was made feel welcome and important. This was  also my first online learning experience and they made adjusting to it feel easy and natural. Their course is broken down into four levels, making learning with them really easy but still challenging enough to  make one want to learn more  and grow one's skills as you work through each task. Very few times though there would be task that is a little to hard and vague to complete yourself but worry not because your mentors and code reviewers are there to help. They don't solve your problems for you but instead teach you how to solve them yourself. The mentors I was lucky enough to meet were always extremely kind and patient with me, constantly pointing me in the right direction whenever I felt like I was stuck. Something I wasn't a big fan of was how little the interactions with other students were, this could have just been my group though. Nonetheless I'm hoping this is something they work on in the future especially when being teaching how to work collaborately with others. In the beginning I felt like what I was learning wasn't going to lead me anywhere but now that i'm at the end i'm extremely happy to have been with them because now I feel as confident as ever about starting a career in this industry. As a beginner in Software Engineering, I have had an amazing experience with HyperionDev. The learning experience is different as they enable you to fully understand what you are learning through quality videos and the lecture notes on the Dropbox make it even easier to understand as they guide you through the steps and make you understand in order for you to be able to tackle the assignment questions that follow. I also appreciated the extra questions that I had to do as they guaranteed my understanding on the topic. Read less

The overall bootcamp experience was good. The tasks are presented in a manner that is usually easy to understand, but sometimes doing your own research is necessary.

Course content is in depth and covers everything needed to become proficient in the chosen field.

Grading is fair, and additional resources are provided for further details on the subject at hand.

The absence of adequate student support, coupled with lecture notes that lacked depth and originality, created significant obstacles in my educational journey. Additionally, it is worth noting that HyperionDev's refund policy is something to be mindful of before committing to their bootcamp. I have enjoyed my time with HyperionDev. The structure for the course is well planned and laid out. It is a well recommended course for any first timer like myself. Not only is the presentation of the work well, they provide great support on different platforms which makes getting assistance quick and easy! So many reviews on here from ‘students currently studying’ on the course.

Who writes a review at the beginning or the middle of a course?😂 When we go to a restaurant do we leave a review whilst eating the food? No we wait once finished so we can examine ‘critically’ whether it was good or not. Too many fake reviews here misleading people.

I finished the data science bootcamp and can confirm it is utter trash. So many students have spoken out against Hyperiondev because of the poor experience they have had too. Don’t waste your time with Hyperiondev. Very unprofessional, poor curriculum and support. Choose a different bootcamp.

I am nearing the end of my Immersive Full Stack and Software Engineering bootcamp with HyperionDev, and the experience has been spectacular! With this bootcamp, I have learnt so much more about front-end and back-end web development and software engineering than what I would have learnt on my own. The course is structured very well and progressively gets more complex, as every new task builds on the concepts from previous tasks and you begin to see how everything fits together. The mentors and code reviewers are very knowledgeable and are very willing to help you if you are stuck on a task. I also appreciate the fact that the mentors and code reviewers always give you constructive criticism regardless of whether you get 100% for a task or less. I am very excited to soon be assisted by HyperionDev's career services to enter the job market upon submission of my final task. Read less

Very poor course material (PDFs in a dropbox) - Unprepared lecturers and sketchy connections - Very time consuming "Build Your Brand" task where you are asked to source recruiter and hiring manager contacts for HyperionDev - Mentors only available after 1-2 weeks so not help when stuck - Even if you finish all tasks perfectly, you will not get a certificate of completion UNLESS YOU YOURSELF secure an interview. - You will only be eligible for a possible university co-certification if you also secure a job (by yourself of course) by a set deadline. - Skills taught are VERY basic. Do not fall for the fake reviews about Hyperion dev. Do proper research before signing up to this terrible bootcamp. You will waste a lot of money like I did, which I am deeply regretting now. If you want to see real reviews then just search them on reddit and you will really get the gist of it. It seems like they have payed people to write good reviews about them and that they block, silence or threaten anyone who writes negative reviews about them. Go and check out Trust pilot and you will see that they have flagged a lot of reviews.. God forbid anyone says anything bad about them or exposes the truth about them.. There is a massive lack of staff it seems so response rate is very slow and support seems non-existent when it is urgent. I have waited up to three weeks to get responses from the student support department, to the point where I had to tag the staff on a Discord group chat to get their attention. The course content somehow seems incomplete as most tasks (especially the capstone projects) do not relate to what has been learned in the 'pdfs'. Also shocking that it is a supposed tech company but they don't even have a proper student dashboard where one can obtain the course material. They basically give you a Dropbox link where you can download pdf files which are highly superficial level. You can teach yourself more from the internet (and for free), and you will get more knowledge than what you can ever get in their incomplete 'pdf' course work. They boast that you will be career ready after taking their bootcamps and almost promise that you will get a job after completing it but most of the student job success is because they hire past students the be teachers and mentors for the next year. Course materials were really poor. The data visualisation examples could have been used as examples of what not to do. I work in this field and it felt like the materials were written by someone with no experience in it at all Concepts were introducedin the compulsory tasks that were missing from the notes and example code. Some element of self-directed learning is fine, but it felt like they had just forgotten to mention them. Some of the sample code just didn't run, and mentors were unable to work out why Some of the tasks could not possibly give the required output, and again mentors could not explain why. Read less

They kicked out students from their discord server who dare to complain. -They changed the half of the tasks to optional to reduce the number of the drop out students. -Force you to apply for jobs from day 1 without any experience or learning (sincethey get the money from DfE after the student got an interview) -Lecturer has no experience at all and we were sitting on a lecture for 1 hour to see that the lecturer cannot solve a problem. -You cannot book a mentor for 1 to 1 since they don't have enough mentors or not even comes to the meeting after you got a date. -They started to flag negative feedbacks here to try to make their feedbacks better. -They removed their UK branch to remove Google review since they had nearly 2 stars feedback on it(so now you can find them only in Africa). The course and company are woeful. Poor and outright incorrect information and learning materials, toxic culture, and misadvertised in multiple ways. Please take my words on board and avoid this course. Your time will be much better spent elsewhere and you will not learn anything you cannot learn in a more accessible/engaging way on YouTube. The real course content you will be taught on the software engineer bootcamp is woefully inadequate to set you up for a job - it doesn't even cover some extremely basic skills that you'll need e.g. APIs. I am begging you just to take these reviews seriously. I think HD themselves are leaving fake 5 star reviews here because all the students are fuming about this. Read less

In short: - Would you like to be ignored for WEEKS with emails sent to their support team? - Would you like to learn by reading poorly written PDFs with vague content? - Would you like to be guided by other inexperienced "mentors" which are just theirrecent BootCamp graduates? - Would you like to have a 1hr lecture with the instructor being disconnected for 30mins? - Would you want more than 60% of your course material marked as OPTIONAL and be told you are job ready while you only have learned the basic "Hello World" and writing a simple for-loop? AND THIS IS DEFINITELY THE RIGHT COURSE FOR YOU!!! I self-funded this course. I enjoyed the first few modules, and I am generally good in self-studying. However, the pdf lessons were just lacking content in relation to completing the assignments, and I had to do more research. 1:1 mentor support had been unavailable twice, and they were not knowledgeable enough to answer my coding queries. Unfortunately, I had to stop the course after the 1st month due to illness and finance issues. But guess what, they still wanted me pay the full tuition. There were several breeches in their contract. I had to raise complaints with the affiliated Uni and Department of Education. I'm surprised that I'm not the only one facing these issues. This bootcamp was well advertised (posters on trains, adds on Facebook), and it had good & unrealistic promises, but the teaching method has not delivered. Their model seems like a kickstarter & a money making scheme, and like the others commenting below, I will raise them to court if necessary. They deserve more attention from the media. Read less

There exists now a huge community of students that are incredibly disillusioned with Hyperiondev. The course is of extremely poor quality, almost no interactivity, extremely limited content and many topics that are advertised are not taught.

Hyperiondev has been silencing students who speak out by kicking them off the course unfairly. On other websites it seems they have been leaving themselves lots of good reviews.

If you go on Trustpilot, go on company info, and you can see: over 75% of reviews that they took down, were reinstated by Trustpilot for NOT actually breaking community guidelines.

I have had a good experience studying data science with HyperionDev. I chose the 6 month part time online option as it made the most sense while working full time. It has been great choice as I had full flexibility in when I could complete the studies and tasks. The first two levels are quite straightforward as the course material is very thorough in teaching you the basics. Mentors mark tasks quickly and give individualized feedback which is greatly appreciated. The third level - Machine Learning, is quite a bit tougher as the tasks are a little more taxing. However, as a student, you can book a call with a mentor to go over the difficulties you are facing within the tasks. Their assistance is invaluable in helping you to understand the content. HyperionDev was also very accommodating to me when I was unable to complete all the tasks within 6 months due to the birth of my son - they provided course extensions without me having to pay extra for the extension. It is a thorough course that helps one understand the fundamentals as well as the intricacies of coding. I recently started a coding bootcamp and I must say, it was an excellent experience. The program was well-structured and covered a broad range of topics in web development.
