Helpful and challenging but not for everyone
I had a great experience at BrainStation for UX Design, it was challenging which was really much needed for me. I found my educators to be engaging and my TA was extremely helpful and supportive. I found my educators to be engaging and my TA was extremely helpful and supportive. While I learned a lot during my course, I do feel like a certain level of the field is required to be able to grasp the content and do well. The educators were good during lectures, however a lot of the time my classmates were really the ones to help each other out. I did really our group projects, and solo capstone project. I would have liked some tests each week to confirm our understanding of what we had learned. It felt a lot of the time other students were piggy backing off each other because they felt lost. I also wish the guest speakers who work in the industry would have been alumni or someone who was in our shoes in their past to share more of a hardship story. Often time, the speakers were persons who graduated with a degree in college. I 'm not really sure about the job assistance, as again I felt speakers who came in didn't seem to be hiring though I do feel like making these connections are important. Unfortunately, after graduating in April, I found that many companies didn't recognize the course for internships, leaving me jobless and out of funds for last seven months. If you're in a similar situation, I'd advise against investing in this very short 3-month course.
