    Beyond Liberating

The amount of skills we learned in such a short amount of time was immense. The biggest portion of why this bootcamp is the best one out there for digital skills training is due to the community building aspect of it. Everyone was so close-knitted and worked together perfectly. It was really fun to work cross-collaboratively as well. The education team was so supportive, understanding, and inspiring. they truly made me feel like I was a great UX Designer by the end of it.

You'll find out how much you can push yourself

I wished I could speak to the educators more. We get one-on-ones sometimes, but once a lecture is done, their gone. I definitely like how much you could network with others and how BrainStation holds events so you have the capacity to do so. Also, they hold Power Hours, where you can talk to people who have already spent 2+ years in UX design and who're really insightful. I definitely wish we got to learn about AI a little more, but it's encouraged to use it as a tool, so I really like that. It's the future. Overall, I had a good time. I made new friends, struggled a lot, but I think if you keep pushing, you'll make it to the end!

Helpful and challenging but not for everyone

I had a great experience at BrainStation for UX Design, it was challenging which was really much needed for me. I found my educators to be engaging and my TA was extremely helpful and supportive. While I learned a lot during my course, I do feel like a certain level of the field is required to be able to grasp the content and do well. The educators were good during lectures, however a lot of the time my classmates were really the ones to help each other out. I did really our group projects, and solo capstone project. I would have liked some tests each week to confirm our understanding of what we had learned. It felt a lot of the time other students were piggy backing off each other because they felt lost. I also wish the guest speakers who work in the industry would have been alumni or someone who was in our shoes in their past to share more of a hardship story. Often time, the speakers were persons who graduated with a degree in college. I 'm not really sure about the job assistance, as again I felt speakers who came in didn't seem to be hiring though I do feel like making these connections are important. It would be helpful to bring in hiring managers to showcase our skills to.

    Challenging but inconsistent

Definitely not beginner friendly. You need some type of background in the field to be able to keep up with the program. The curriculum overpacked with extra projects and hard to follow them.

    Challenging

Going into the boot camp, I was told that there would be a lot of work, late nights and dedication. They weren't wrong. It was a transformative program and that came with a lot of work. I was very tired at the end and needed much time to sit and reflect which I didn't have time to do during the course. The educators were experts in the field and very knowledgeable which made the program feel distinguished and I could trust their judgement and values. The school had a good sense of community and pride which made me feel reassured that it was a great school to learn at.

    Product Management Course

The product management course was very informative and provides a comprehensive review of the day-to-day role of a Product Manager. The teachers provided anecdotes of the realities of being Product Managers, which was very insightful and gave me a better perspective as to whether it's a job I want to actively pursue.

    Product Management Course

I thoroughly enjoyed the course. The instructors were great at explaining each section. However, I wish the curriculum had more examples or explanations for students who are new to the the PM/tech.

    Great course - Product Management

Course was great! Touched on a lot of concepts, including Agile. Instructors provided a lot of great industry examples, and not just from digital or e-commerce companies but in other industries as well. I would highly recommend this course if you are looking to enhance your professional knowledge, have no clue about PM, wanting to change careers, want to better understand how to work with PO's or even if you want to start your own company or have a great idea and not sure where to start.

    fast

This has been an intense program. At times, I felt like I was ahead of the game and other times, very behind. You get taught a lot of information and focus on projects heavily. I learned a lot, made amazing notes and resources and built some solid projects. I think it was well worth the time and money and feel like ive got a good understanding of the concepts. It was hard though!! I would highly recommend having some insight into Javascript - working on the odin project before the camp would give you a good head start.

My Experience with a 3-Month Web Development Course

If you're looking to enter web development and have around $ 17k, plus a current job with no plans for a new one, this class could be beneficial for a quick learning experience. However, it didn't meet my expectations. I enrolled hoping to gain skills, earn trust from companies, secure internships, and eventually recoup my investment. Unfortunately, after graduating in April, I found that many companies didn't recognize the course for internships, leaving me jobless and out of funds for last seven months. If you're in a similar situation, I'd advise against investing in this very short 3-month course. Consider enrolling in a one-year full-stack program at a college or university like York for less than $ 10k, where you might have better support for internships and co-op opportunities.

    A good introduction to AI

Enrolled into the AI course in order to gain understanding of the foundational concepts and get some guidance on usage, risks, etc. and I was not disappointed. It is a lot of material covered in a short time frame so staying on top of things was essential, instructors were patient and resourceful which helped a lot. Ending the course with a project and presentation helped with applying some of the concepts learned during the course and provided a good insight into what the rest of the class took away from the course. A good learning experience in all!

    Web Development Bootcamp

During my time at BrainStation, I enrolled in the web development bootcamp. Although I had no prior hands-on coding experience, I was initially hesitant about my ability to fully comprehend the course material. However, the structured syllabus, knowledgeable and approachable instructors, and helpful teaching assistants made my transition into this new career path much smoother. Thanks to the practical, hands-on approach to teaching, which was emphasized during class and project assignments, I found it much easier to grasp the core concepts of web development.

    Amazing!!!

The instructor was very helpful, and the course was very easy to follow. It was such a pleasure to study under Anas and Silvia!! Lessons on UI were very informative, the only suggestion I have is to create an agreement early on to ensure that no student will be cutting off other students with questions or interrupting the class.

    UI Bootcamp - Brainstation

Overall it was a wonderful experience with great instructors that have industry knowledge, they were patient and understanding with all the students. They made the effort to make time for 15-30 mins after the end of each class for anyone to answer questions or show off the work they were doing and get a design review.
