Wyncode completely changed my life. Everything from the faculty to the curriculum to the work space provided is essential to the program's success. I would recommend the class to anyone looking to get into the south Florida tech industry because you will become completely immersed into it. 

As cliche as the title may sound, it holds true for me that Wyncode was a life changing experience. I came in with little to no prior knowledge in coding other than some basic understanding of HTML and CSS (and completing the assigned pre-work once I was accepted into a cohort).

Wyncode means "bootcamp" in every sense of the word; it is intense and requires a lot of dedication and self-discipline and pretty much all of your time. We had been told by people from previous cohorts that you'd be surprised by how much you know by the end of the first few weeks, halfway into the course, and when you're done. It's true; I didn't see how much of an improvement I made until looking back over the past 2-3 months. I felt imposter syndrome - and still do on occasion - almost all throughout the course and never thought I would be able to find a job in the industry. I recently started working as a jr. web developer at a software company in the area just a few weeks after finishing Wyncode.

In addition to the programming languages and other technical skills, Wyncode teaches you the soft skills that you need not only to become a good developer, but someone who is employable - someone who can communicate clearly and effectively, readily adapt to situations, and be able to work in a team. The last point is especially important, because we had worked in group settings fairly often, whether it was for hackathons, mini projects, and for the final project. The nine weeks that we had spent learning and collaborating together was such a uniquely shared experience; I met several wonderful people who have become great friends. 

We've also had several opportunities throughout the nine weeks to attend and even present at networking events to hiring partners and potential employers. I had to force myself out of my comfort zone; it can be pretty nerve racking at times but I enjoyed talking to and learning from developers and others who have been part of the South Florida tech scene for years.

Hello, my name is Jeff Ginsberg and just 12 weeks ago I was working as a General Contractor with no programming experience. I had always enjoyed playing on my computer but never thought I was capable of actually learning how to program them and use them to build my wildest dreams.

When I heard about Wyncode, I thought that it would be impossible to turn someone like myself with no experience into a person capable of developing whatever they could imagine in just 9 weeks. But, I attended some of their events and spoke with the students, it turned out that many of the students were like me, they had a passion to learn about computer programming and just did not know where to start. Once, I saw the incredible web applications the students were putting out, I was convinced Wyncode was the real deal so I applied for the course.

Upon being accepted I was a little nervous to take the plunge, but I put in my 2 weeks notice at my current job and went for it. Looking back now I am really happy I did, it has definitely changed my life for the better. I have learned a new set of skills that I do not see going away in the future and the work I do is fun and challenging, I get to work on interesting new problems every day.

One of the best perks that Wyncode provided to me was that throughout the course, Wyncode would arrange for us to meet their partner companies that often hire Wyncode Graduates. In these meetings we could discuss our progress throughout the course, share our experience thus far, and most importantly learn about these companies. This was really great because in the begininning I had no idea what I was going to do after the course ended, but by the end of the course I knew exactly what companies I wanted to work for, and I had become acquainted with the people that could help me land a position in these comapnies.

Within a week of finishing Wyncode, numerous companies had reached out to me requesting job interviews. Now less than a month later I have accepted a full-time position as a Software Developer, and with my free time I have started developing my own video game. Life is good. 

If you are open to learning and are passionate about technology, then look no further than Wyncode. 

When researching development bootcamps across the United States I remember coming across several reviews that said the experience was great, yet lacked a bit of organization from a curriculum standpoint or instructor standpoint. Well, Wyncode was not great, it was incredible and did not disappoint in any department! Not only was the curriculum great, but the people and instructors were too. At Wyncode you really become part of a community of inspired and highly motivated individuals. I came in unsure of what the program would be like, but it quickly exceeded my expectations. Coming straight out of university with a degree in mathematics, I wanted to learn to code in order to supplement my previous knowledge in statistics and data science. I quickly grew to love coding and (thanks to Wyncode) just one month out of the program I was offered a job where I am now applying both my data/database knowledge and my newfound programming knowledge.

I highly recommend Wyncode to anyone looking to start a career in programming!

Wyncode was nothing short of a life changing experience for me.

I decided to attend Wyncode because I had always enjoyed programming, but was no where near proficient enough to get a job as a software engineer. Coming into Wyncode I did have some coding experience. I knew VBA and was knowledgeable in Objective-C and Java. I used tools like Lynda.com and youtube to learn to code, but it was never enough. I never felt very confident in my abilities.

I was skeptical of coding bootcamps at first. It seemed like many of them promised way more than they could realistically deliver. Wyncode was different. Wyncode promised a comprehensive curriculum including soft skills, business acumen, as well as all the technical knowledge you would expect. Wyncode promised to stick by their students and to work as long and as hard as they could to help you gain employment. Instead of promising unrealistic results, they promised to work hard, and to present you with opportunities. And they certaintly delivered.

Every week we had guest speakers. They shared their expereinces and stories of the tech world and answered a lot of our questions. Every week there were many networking events. This provided us with tons of opportunities to meet potential employers. We had interviews, and a packed house for our pitchday presentations. We were presented with MANY opportunities to meet with potential employers.

We also learned about agile methodologies. We did daily standups, learned about sprints, user stories, and about assigning points to stories. This proved to be helpful in my current job. Thanks to Wyncode's agile methodologies lectures, I quickly picked up on how my current employers operates in terms of deploying code.

Last but certaintly not least is the technical lectures. We learned Ruby, HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, AJAX, Rails, SQL and so much more. I really enjoyed the lectures, and felt like they were well constructed and did a great job of explaining a topic in a complete yet concise way. TA's were seemingly always available to us and the head instructor was an invaluable resource as well.

Prior to Wyncode I was unsure about my professional future. Wyncode has given me a thorough platform of knowledge with which I can work with, towards a successful career. The program is very thorough and demands around 10 - 12 hours per day of dedicated work/study. The teacher is more than qualified for the job, he knew the answer to the most complicated of problems that the TA's struggled to offer help with. The program makes a good job of introducing you to the tech scene through building both hard and soft skills aswell as contacts. Another thing to praise is the abundance of available help after lectures end until the late hours of the night. The only part that could be Mac focused program, yet they are very supportive of Windows and Ubentu users. Overall it was a great experience and I will be recomending it to others interested in the community.

Believe all the hype!  After many years as an entrepreneur, I sold my business and applied to Wyncode. Everybody from the lead instructor, Ed, to the campus director, Juliana, really were great and helped with every question that was I asked. This course is intensive, be prepared to invest all your time here during the cohort. But that will pay off when you have the skills necessary to join the workforce or like me, begin a company from scratch.   

Learning how to code is not easy. Quitting my job, moving 200 miles from home, and attending an intensive 9 week bootcamp was the last thing I ever imagined myself doing. I am a 30-something woman with kids, husband, mortgage, the whole shebang and here I was having  what seemed like a midlife crisis. I had a decent job in sales. But it never felt like a career. I felt more and more dread  waking up each day. I wanted something better for myself, for my family. But I couldn't see myself going back to school full-time, not while juggling work and family. I wanted to work with technology. I once put together a website with just html and that was fun. I had no idea I could make a living doing it. I researched the hell out of the requirements to be a developer . In my searching found that you didn't need a degree to be taken seriously. Discovered there were bootcamps all over the country that can teach you the skills you need to get a job, and that employers were hiring these people like crazy. Ok, now I was onto something. In searching for local bootcamps I found Wyncode. I read every review, found every article mentioning Wyncode. I applied online. This was the changing point of my life.

Wyncode was everything I expected it be and then some. The material was difficult and fast paced. I wanted it to be. I wanted to be challenged and I was. The lead instructor was amazingly articulate, thoughtful, and rich in knowledge. The TA's were the reason I made it through. They have all been through the class so they know what you are going through. They help you get to the answers without giving you the answer. They help you learn. Most importantly, they help you help yourself. They are there for you the entire time at all hours. They are there to celebrate all the victories, small and large. 

From day 1 Wyncode staff are encouraging you to network. There are events on your calendar everyday you just have to choose which ones to go to. Every week a new speaker comes in. They talk about their business, the challenges they faced, what they look for in hiring new developers, what we should be doing to get hired, you name it. You also get a chance to interview with some of the local hiring partners. 

It was all super difficult, but also super rewarding. I learned 6 new languages in 9 weeks. One of the most amazing abilities I learned is (also the reason I now have a job as a developer, and I got the offer less then a week after graduating) how to teach myself anything. I am now working for someone who doesn't use the code languages I learned at Wyncode. I am confident in my ability to learn anything and be an asset to any company. 

Wyncode is now my family. All the students, staff and TA's are near and dear to me. I look forward to all the events they have. I will be cheering on all the Pitch Days, even if it's from home live on Periscope. I also applied to be a mentor to a lucky person in the next cohort. 

I can't thank Wyncode enough for my amazing experience. I will be forever grateful. And it is truly the best feeling going to work every day now loving what I do!

Wyncode provided one of the greatest educational experiences I've ever been involved in, and I've been involved in education my entire life. The curriculum was robust and demanding. The instructor really knows how to explain difficult computer-sciency concepts in language that anyone from any background can understand, and he's an encyclopedia of coding knowledge. He's super helpful and generous with his time and mentorship. The TAs are knowledgable and incredibly helpful. They stick around to help students understand the concepts taught throughout the course and to help you when you're stuck on aspects of a project. And they really do their best to help at any hour of the day or night. I can't tell you how many times I was chatting with a TA at one or two in the morning, helping me understand why that pesky bug in my code wouldn't go away. The founders have really assembled a great team, and they've created a true family environment in which everyone -- the entire staff and all the students -- is dedicated to making Wyncode the very best it can be. They bring in great guest speakers that cover everything from how to talk to venture capitalists to interview practice. They provide the opportunity to interview with hiring partners throughout the course, and they connect students to all the networking events near the #miamitech scene. They truly prepare students to make the most of everything they have learned throughout the course and to make the very best presentations possible of their final projects. They did such a great job connecting students with hiring partners that I had pretty solid interest from a company while I was still in the course, and I got the job just a week after I was finished.

Wyncode rocks!

I am currently taking the 'Intro to Web Development' class. The instructors are great and are putting a lot of effort into teaching the course. I am not so convinced by the Curriculum. It goes greatly into depth. I wish it would link each coding example with a practical example. I have absolutely no coding experience. It is honestly too fast/advanced for me for an intro course. Be prepared to do a lot of extra work at home. Unfortunately the courses are also on the higher end, when it comes to pricing. I am tempted to try another class as I like the environment. This class might just not be the right fit for me. 

I was in wyncode's 2nd cohort. Going in initially I had only ever been exposed to one html and css course in college years prior. Through wyncode they provided an excellent intro and over all understanding and eliminated the unknown fears of tech. Post wyncode I was confident enough to know i now had the skills to continue to learn and grow in my skill set. I started in tech staffing and recently got a new job as a developer for another staffing agency where I am in charge of all things tech related. Wyncode without a doubt was a great launching pad into my tech career and is a great family to have for continual support.

Great, intensive bootcamp focusing on Ruby on Rails.  Felt like I really learned how to code and not just how to code in Ruby.  Also great support with interviews and teaches you a lot of the soft skills necissary to succeed.

The instructors are all very knowlegeable as well as the teaching assistants.

Lastly, it really feels like you are part of a community, one that you will belong to for the rest of your life.  Can't say enough good about Wyncode really... it changed my life!

I always dreamed of building apps. Having never taken a computer science course, I never thought it could be possible until I stumbled upon Wyncode. After taking the nine week immersive web development course in Fort Lauderdale, I was building web applications from scratch.  Within one month after graduating, I received a job offer to work at fast growing South Florida tech company.  The teaching staff is great and the curriculum is constantly evolving and improving to meet the needs of the students.  Wyncode was a challenging nine week program, but it was also one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.  I'm so happy I decided to join Wyncode.  I highly recommend this course to driven individuals who enjoy problem solving and want to build awesome apps.

I am enrolled in the Intro to iOS Development course and I love it! The structured classes and expereinced instructors makes learning Swift much more enjoyable. The class learning style gives students the ability to learn and solve REAL WORLD problems, which is applicable to our everyday lifestyles. The instructors are personable and can guide you in the right direction. So far I am loving my investment into the iOS course :)

My experience with Brainstation has definitely been a positive one! While much of the information covered could probably be found by scavenging the Web, the structured format of this course and the method by which the instructors conveyed the material definitely expedited that process ten-fold. Concepts covered include: HTML, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap. The laid-back class atmosphere and friendly instructors made asking questions very easy, and contributed to the productivity of the class. However, keep in mind that this course is only 3 hours per week, so if you're looking to become a pro web developer at the end of it you will need to put in significant amount of time outside of class.

Brainstation provided me with such an amazing digital marketing course! Im currently enrolled in school as a full time student, and brainstaiton made it easy to coordinate my schedule with my classes. The instructors were so insightful and helpful, with such small classes it really felt like a community! I'll definitely be taking more classes at Brainstation. 

If your goal is to get a handle on web development in a supportive environment full of living beings I think you will be well served.  Much of the information may be available on-line for next to nothing, but still there is something about being in a class with real students and instructors that is particuarly motivating. It clearly is not meant to be as immersive or intensive as an 8 hour a day course as it is 3 hours 1 day a week plus whatever time you put into it outside of class. Anyone going into should understand this and not expect miracles - although I am impressed by what I am able to do now!

By neccessity the course focuses on a few big technologies, namely HTML5, CSS and Bootstrap with a touch of JS. There is no job assistance in this part-time course which is understood going in. It's geared towards projects rather than tests - so it's up to you to use what you learn - no grades are given. The course leaders are often soliciting input from students in order to improve the material and delivery and I think with this intention to improve, it should only get better with time.

I chose to attend BrainStation's Digital Marketing class because the part time evening hours fit my full-time work schedule, and I attended a workshop where I got a taste of their interactive teaching style.

What I didn't expect was for BrainStation to surpass my expectations entirely. The class has 3 instructors that are all highly knowedgeable in the fields, as well as expremely passionate about sharing what they know. My classmates are from all levels - some are starting a business, some have marketing experience, and some are students fresh out of school. Yet they've taken the time to learn what our individual class wants to learn, and tailored the lessons and activities to the needs of our class. Plus, there's one on one time to work on our individual "projects".

If you take tis course, I highly suggest you come in with a project in mind, whether it's promoting your own business, starting a blog, whatever. It'll help you focus the lessons and help guide your questions and what you want to learn. You'll get the most out of your experience this way.
