What differentiates BaseCamp from other data science bootcamps is that they teach students by using data problems from real companies. BaseCamp doesn't only teach students how to juggle data and solve problems, the school prepares students for real-world cases and teaches them how to navigate the business side of data science. Coursework focuses on deepening students’ theoretical knowledge and enhancing practical skills in the areas of technology (Python /R /SQL), statistics (statistical inference A/B testing), machine learning (ensemble methods), and development processes (experimentation and deployment). The 8 weeks is split into lectures, workshops, and projects. Learn more about Basecamp .George Burry5Graduate - Bratislava

This is all thanks to the patience and encouragement of Juraj and the other mentors. Topics were taught by experts in their respective fields and were taught in an engaging way. Even though some of the topics were difficult to grasp, Juraj went out of his way to make sure we understood the most important points. I really enjoyed it and I have taken so much away from the experience.

Although the program was quite fast-paced, especially for those who are beginning, I appreciate how devoted the instructors and their assistants are to helping everyone. Besides the phenomenal instructors and their aide, the fellow students you meet always make learning fun especially since the whole class all are reaching the same goals. You meet a class of experienced and inexperienced students willing to learn from each other which showcase during the final group project. FSA doesn't teach you specific technical skills, but also soft skills by preparing you post-graduation. FSA provides its students with a career coach who guides each student with tips and lectures on navigating a world post-graduate. I recommend FSA to students who are eager to learn the fundamental of programming, willing to commit their time and taking each day 1% to grow. I carefully researched my options for a UX/UI Bootcamp that was credible and part-time and decided on the Trilogy/University of Oregon. The program is very professional and well run. I can't say enough good about the people. The instructor, teaching assistants, and tutors are approachable and knowledgeable.
Some insight I would offer is that one of the most complex parts was learning how to use the tools. Because I had no background in design, the tools were utterly new to me. If I were to do it over again, I would take time to get a jump start and learn the basics of Figma before starting the program. In terms of time commitment, it would have been nearly impossible for me to complete the program while working full-time. I easily spent 20 hours a week on homework alone. Another thing to note is that office hours are 30 minutes before and after every class. They are beneficial, and I attended most of them to ask questions and get help.
My goal was to get the most out of the program, and one thing that was a struggle for me was that I would have liked more support. Office hours are great, but when there are 15 people all waiting to get their questions answered in 30 minutes, there is rarely enough time for everyone. Tutoring is offered once weekly for 45 minutes; if you're struggling, you can request an additional session. I could have easily had 2 - 3 hour weekly sessions because of my many questions. This was not a struggle for everyone in my cohort, but I had A LOT of questions since everything was new to me.
Overall, I would choose the same program if I were to do it all over again. I hope this review gives additional insight to prospective students. With dedication and hard work, you can do this! - 6Reviews1CourseCEI Escuela de Diseño, a 7-month full stack JavaScript programming bootcamp with campuses in Madrid, Seville, Spain, and Lisbon, Portugal. I have been exposed to some beginner programming before and took a class in college but only through Aditi’s instruction, I was finally able to clearly understand some concepts clearly and finally there was a break through! I really like the good explanations and even complete beginners should be able to really grab these concepts.
For anyone who can not make the live lecture because of time zone or other obligation, they have the recorded sessions. In my opinion it's important to review every lecture even if you think you know a concept already. Maybe you know how to use it, but not exactly how it works. Then your trainer can explain it much better for it to permanently click in your head if you have doubts!
Thanks Code Gym for the opportunity. I am really confident that I will finally get fluent with programming in Java and I'm learning in a way that I can help train someone else in the future. - 6Reviews5CoursesSJSU Tech Bootcamps offer full-time and part-time online training programs in coding, cybersecurity, or product management. From day one we were told that we would only get out of this course what we were willing to put into it; Something they reiterated at every new technology learned. Still, they offered one-on-one tutoring for those who needed it, and were always active on slack even late at night where I would sometimes be stuck on an exercise that I couldn't finish in class and needed to reach out.
In addition to learning the technologies used in the industry, we also learned about the 'best practices' of the Software Engineering world, and mindsets and strategies to help us tackle the challenges placed on us during the class; The most important ones - in my opinion - being
"Never be too proud to ask for help",
"Taking a break is the easiest way to keep yourself from burning out",
"Learn your team's strengths so you know where to go when you need help and their weaknesses so you can help build them up",
and - Most importantly - "There's very few wrong ways to solve a problem."
Even when COVID-19 hit and on-site operations were halted in the interest of public health, We moved our courses online, extended our timeline (1 extra week to make sure we were adjusted for remote learning), and even adjusted our start times to make sure everyone was in the best position to continue learning.
I came out of CodeBound with a job offer I graciously accepted and have been leading my own development team since Day 1.
And for some of the other reviews left here; I came into CodeBound not knowing anything more than some basic HTML and CSS and now I'm pioneering functionality on a multi-million dollar project all thanks to the knowledge of my instructors and the first-hand, real world experience obtained as part of CodeBound.

I spent a lot of time working in them in my last job and loved the logical gymnastics of using a combination of values and formulas to create tools to help my team work more efficiently. That said, as the spreadsheet tools I created became more complex, I became hungrier to break free of the constraints of cells and execute logic in clearer, more advanced ways—and with a nicer interface too. This lead me to coding. I was mindblown by how many great online resources there were to learn how to code for free… or more accurately, I was overwhelmed. As someone entering the field for the first time, I didn’t even know where to start. Let alone what I would need to be capable of to be competitive in the job market. Fortunately, I stumbled across the Coding Boot Camp at the University of Sydney and quickly knew it was the perfect course for me.I think this will be the perfect course for you too, if you’re someone who:- Wants a comprehensive understanding of how to build a website
- Craves structure to stay motivated
- And, is excited to learn a lot in a short time.
There are ~12 hours of lectures per week, across three evenings (if you’re based in Sydney). This means that you can do the course whilst working full-time. I’ve been amazed by how much I can achieve in the evenings, a time that I previously underutilised. That said, working full-time and taking this course is hard, to the point where you probably won't be able to get as much out of it compared to if you were working part-time or taking a break from work. This is because the course is quite fast-paced. To break it down:- The course is 24 weeks long, with no weeks off in between.
- Each week, we cover around 15 new concepts related to a particular area of the field.
- For each concept, the instructor runs through a demonstration. Then, you go into a breakout room with other students and a tutor and you directly apply what you’ve learnt to an activity.
- There is a new assignment every week. You can only skip two assignments to pass the course.
- Class attendance is mandatory and your camera needs to be on. You can only miss up to eight classes to pass the course.
Personally, I find this structure very motivating. It’s why I love the course so much. It keeps me accountable and continuously pushes me to keep learning. Looking back over the last three months, I am astounded by how much I have learned—there is absolutely no way I could have made so much progress on my own in such a short time.I also love how personable and supportive the course is. Learning independently online seems bleak in comparison. The instructor and teaching assistants responsible for delivering my course are incredibly clear and knowledgeable. Our instructor is particularly motivating and regularly reminds us of how far we've come and where we can find extra support if needed. There’s a 24/7 chat-based service where you can ask for help with your code. Pretty much 100% of the time, I get the help I need to solve my problem within 15 minutes. You can also opt-in for 1:1 tutoring sessions on top of regular classes if you need them. Overall, I feel like there are so many opportunities for extra support.
I haven't really started my job search yet, so I can't comment too thoroughly on the career services. That said, I feel confident that I'm learning the right concepts to be employer-competitive and that when I'm ready to start applying, there are resources there for me to prepare for interviews, write my application materials and have them reviewed to increase my chances of success. If I'm being picky, my only critiques are:- Sometimes the feedback on my assignments feels a little generic/templated. That said, it’s far more feedback than I ever received on an assignment in my undergraduate degree. Also, I think it reflects one of my favourite things about coding—if you hit all of the acceptance criteria, then your work is good enough and perhaps there isn’t much more that needs to be said.
- I wish there were more opportunities to network, both in person and online, with people in the course and outside of it. I think they could do more to help us meet people working in the industry.
- A week off in the middle of the course would be nice.
If you choose to enrol in this course, my advice is just that you’ll get out what you put in. If you want to get the most out of it, be prepared to be challenged. Ultimately, your coding abilities are what matter. Not your assignment marks or your attendance—so try to come into this with the mindset that everything you do is adding to your potential success.
TLDR: the course is challenging, but you are guaranteed to learn. - 5Reviews25CoursesNoble Desktop is a NY State-Licensed technology training school in New York City providing full-time and part-time certificate programs in graphic design, we... No more Dreamweaver and WYSIWYG, this is all coding! The second certificate built onto the first, and added a 30-hour back-end web development program which included PHP and MySQL and WordPress.org. I learned tons, and the teachers were excellent. The coursebooks are such a valuable tool to use with my projects, and being able to take additional classes live online makes it easy to keep learning. I was able to code a WordPress theme from scratch with what I learned form the WordPress.org class, and was even asked to speak at this past summer's Wordcamp NYC. The instructors know their stuff, and really make learning fun. Nothing is rushed, and they take time to answer all questions. And having the option to re-take a class is also great. These courses were a very worthwhile investment - would recommend to anyone.

Thank you ALL!
As a student for this class I was propelled into the workforce right at the end of the class. Many of the other graduates had the same experience.
This is a fast paced Web Developer based into to everything and into to everything professional Boot Camp. Essentially as a student you need to know these things:
- How to be prepared? Don't come into this class not knowing how to use a file system, this is a class meant for people who are going to get hired by a professional company after 12 weeks. This class is meant for people who have a good understanding of computers and already have an understanding of programming theory and understand how to read syntax. File system structure is not something you teach in this class. Don't be the student the slows everyone else down then drops out after 1-2 weeks.
- If you're a potential student of this class DON'T AVOID IT BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE IS A BEGINNER CLASS.
- This class is focused on making YOU INTO A PROFESSIONAL AFTER 12 WEEKS.
- Use logic from 3 to come to a reasonable conclusion to what the class is about.
They also prepare you for job interviews and have other professionals in the business speak to the class, in my class:
- Job Coach Professional Sherri Thomas
- Technical Recruiter at Nextiva Alex Francis
- Melt Media Tech Director Anthony Garone
- Melt Media Hiring Manager Devon Tackett
Sherri is a professional job coach and guided the class on the process of resumes, interviews and job seeking.
Alex works for Nextiva and spoke to us about professional interviews, what not to do and what to do. Alex also provides help with resumes.
Anthony works for Melt Media and spoke to the class about expectations.
Devon works for Melt Media and gave the graduates a preliminary professional technical interview with feedback.
Some things to expect:
- The class has you build a project, your own website.
- There are some costs involved which the College cant pay for if you want to be able to own the site
- The website will be about you as a programmer.
- If you cant afford it Jeff can let you make one on the MCOR server
