Coding Temple

Coding Temple was a truly amazing opportunity. The focus on .Net and the smaller class size really sets it apart. The curriculum is in-depth,  well taught, and really practical. They're also great about connecting their students with recruiters and advocating for them. I booked a coding job less than a day after I finished. Also, they make themselves available to you post graduation as you progress in your career. This can be an invaluable asset if you want to brush up on a technology, prepare for an interview, or are just looking for advice from a senior developer. One of the best choices I've ever made. 

The .NET course was really helpful and learn a lot about different concepts and used various tools throughout the course. The instructor is really good at teaching different concepts and good at explaining how each concept works for all languages. He was also good at helping out with hands on concepts and work with strudents one on one to help understand the concept better. We build many different applications throughout the course. I worked on building a e-commerce application for a clothing line. There was a lot of different pair programming and group that was involved at Coding Temple, which I really enjoyed. I would recommand anyone that wants to learn .NET. 

I attended a beginner SQL course. The course was very interactive as well as informative. jennifer the instructor did a very good job at making sure everyone was following along and understanding the material being taught. The course moves at very good pace allowing students to rasp the material very well. Also during the course there was a breif presentation by robert half who demonstrated how much of a dmeand there was for people with skills in SQL, also they remained after the course to provde help with students looking for jobs. I would definetly recommend taking a course or attending a workshop at coding temple as they have very skilled teachers, and their strong focus on helping their students get placed in the work force after graduation. 

I was a student for Coding Temple's first cohort and I can defnitely say that it was a valuable experience. The instructor, Hitesh, was an expert at all the topics that were covered and was able to answer every student's questions and provide us his insight from his career experience. The class size is kept under 8 students so everyone has their indivdual attention and learning needs accomodated for. There are multiple projects assigned throughout the course that forces you to take a "learn by doing" approach; projects that are then available to add to your portfolio of development work.  Since it was a part-time camp with an intense amount of topics that needed to be covered, the instructor also made himself available outside of class to assist anyone that needed additional help. Coding Temple provides you with all the resorces and infomation needed to develop your skills to be fit for an entry level development role. The experience was nothing short of superb. 

I attended the introduction to C# event through Meetup this weekend and it was much more informative than I expected for a free workshop.  The presenter/instructor, Avi, that taught the workshop was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.   

My main intention for attending the workshop was to see if I would fit in the 12-week course that is coming up in January and I was assured that my very limited understanding of programming would be just fine.  I'm looking forward to future workshops and hopefully being accepted into Coding Temples next course.

 

Coding temple is a very great way to start your computer science experience. And if you have experience than you can also get master at it and expand your knowledge on various topics... Location is best .. Close to union station or you can take cta trains too. Teaching and organizing staff are awesome. They will work with you at your on convinent time. They will do everything that they possibly can do to help you like skype help, out side school help and also they can meet you up in near by location. Instructor will give you real life example to explain you what is exactly your are require to do in this field. They will also train you for interview and also they will train you at your best.  It requires more time outside of on campus classes but at the end it will pay of good:) 

 

 

This is the only SE bootcamp I have experienced, so I cannot compare to others, but overall I had a positive experience with Coding Temple. I did the self paced SE program. While learning the core material Coding Temple made some changes to the structure of the teaching, it felt hard to keep up with the changes for a little while, but it seems like the changes are settled down. Katelyn Mehner was a great resource while learning the core material, ready to help with any question you throw at her. The backend specialization was really well organized and well taught by Dylan Katina. The effort that you put in the program is what you'll get out of it and I think that really applies to the self paced course. Coding Temple has all the material, great instructors, career resources and more, if you put in the effort Coding Temple will help you get the most out of the program.

They are always trying to improve, which is great. Things will change often, but if something doesn't work out, they’ll help you go back to the older version. The staff is great and easy to reach.
The core curriculum felt fast-paced and didn’t go very deep into some topics, and it was hard to grasp without a technical background. But overall, I enjoyed the program, especially the backend specialization. They offer other specializations too.
Dylan was the best part of the backend experience. He was always there to help. Any time you had a question, he took the time to explain things clearly and would sit with you to figure out errors. He put real effort into creating a strong curriculum that takes you from zero all the way to deployment. I learned a lot from him, and his teaching made the backend part of the course not just doable but enjoyable.
Michael always helps us get career ready and introduces concepts outside of the curriculum, which is super important for both job applications and understanding real-world systems. He genuinely cares and is always there when you reach out.
Sean supported me from day one, and I owe him. Jessica was really patient and helped me learn how to solve problems when I didn’t know anything.Thank you to all the instructors for trying to help us as much as they can. I haven’t applied for jobs yet, but I’m confident they’ll support me when I do. Staff turnover happens from time to time, which can make things feel a bit uncertain, but I still appreciate the effort everyone puts in to support us. You just need to put some effort in too. Don’t feel shy to reach out for help.Before the program starts, they give you some basic material, which is helpful, but it doesn’t really cover the deeper ideas or explain how things actually work together. Having something that introduces more foundational understanding, not just tools but the ideas behind them, would make a big difference for people coming in with no background.
They used to have advanced problem-solving sessions with tougher challenges that helped build confidence and push us a bit further. Now there are whiteboard sessions, which are good, but I wish there were more chances to watch more difficult problems being solved live, step by step, by experienced people.
If you don’t have a tech background, I’d definitely recommend starting to learn some of the harder or general concepts early. It really helps once the program starts.

I recently completed the part-time, online Software Engineering Bootcamp at Coding Temple, specializing in Front End Development, and overall, I had a positive experience.I chose Coding Temple because of its strong reputation, the included career support, and the flexibility it offered—I needed a program that could fit into my busy schedule while I worked full-time. That said, I want to highlight both the high points and the challenges of my journey.



The instructors were phenomenal.  In particular, I can't say enough good things about Allan Ahmed and Daniel Erazo. Daniel was incredibly helpful—even on weekends—consistently answering questions and offering guidance. Allan was my instructor for most of the Core phase, and again during the Frontend Specialization. He truly went above and beyond—often staying past scheduled Zoom sessions to make sure I understood the objectives and that my code was working properly.  As I was finishing my final project, Allan spent over an hour and a half with me, patiently debugging until everything finally worked. He was always quick to offer encouragement and support.



However, the program did have some rough patches. About halfway through, the structure of the course was significantly changed. As a result, the transition at the end of the Core phase felt disorganized. It became unclear who to turn to for help, and at times, it was extremely difficult to get the support I needed.



Despite the challenges, I successfully earned my Software Engineering Certification and developed a strong foundation in fullstack development. I would definitely recommend Coding Temple to others—but with a word of caution: be prepared for a serious time commitment. Balancing a full-time job and the bootcamp was incredibly demanding. Every spare minute outside of work went toward completing assignments and learning.
