I started with minimal experience in HTML, CSS, and javascript. This Software Engineering course allowed me to establish a solid foundation working with those languages and more. They have a career program consisting of several lectures which must be attended completely in order for you to receive support after the camp. In those lessons you learn about how to make yourself look like the best candidate for a new job. The foundation you establish in your course work actually helps you be the best candidate. The Educators and TAs take pride in their work and it shows. They are incredibly helpful and encouraging. The course itself is challenging for sure! If you are looking to take the course, the best advice i can give you is to ask lots of questions to your TAs and Classmates. My course included 3 hackathons which were definitely the biggest parts of my growth. They are challenging and lead to a lot of skill growth through application of learned material.  Read less

Going into this bootcamp, I thought I would nail it. But my knowledge and skills were tested early on! The content and project feedback were detailed and gave me insights into what I excelled at and where I needed to improve. While the long hours and intensive deliverables were a big challenge, the education team was encouraging and supportive the entire time. They clearly know their stuff and kept the energy up. I can't believe how far I have come since starting the Software Engineering Bootcamp at BrainStation. It's hard to imagine that only 3 months ago I had no knowlege what so ever about developing software, now I can create dynamic web pages with a good looking front-end and a secure and scalable back-end aswell as had the pleasure of getting to know some amazing people both on the education team and other classmates in my course. I had the best learning experience at BrainStation. They really give you all the tools you need to prepare you for the real world. The concepts they introduced in this data science bootcamp is so vast and practical . 
I would say clear up everything on your schedule before you go into this bootcamp and have some basic understanding of math concepts and programming ,then  you will be able to do a lot more and you can show case your skills on your capstone project and you can demo your capstone on demo day . From here on you will be interested to work on your own projects and it is like your own ideas into sample projects. Read less

I signed up for an online 2.5-month Data Analytics course with BrainStation in the fall of 2023. Before I signed up, the salesperson promised that the course was for beginners and that after finishing the course, I'd have a great portfolio to show off on my resume and stand out and receive a job. They also said I'd get support from the community of BrainStation graduates and another participant to work on my resume and find a job.  Two instructors were supposed to help us learn about data analysis.  During the course, the instructors met once a week between 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm. But instead of explaining concepts themselves, both instructors mostly read from a script quickly, attempting to cover as many slides as possible.  The course was not for beginners; it required prerequisite knowledge that the course material did not include.  At times, instructors didn't have enough time to cover all the material, so they instructed us to search for additional information on Google I found that other online courses on popular platforms like Linkedln and Udemy, which were less expensive, provided me with more useful instruction than the Data Analytics course from BrainStation, despite its high cost.   We were given two weeks to finish our portfolios, which were supposed to be valuable for marketing ourselves. But when it came time to show our portfolios, the instructors only looked at them briefly during the last class. They didn't respond to my messages about the portfolios and requested to provide a professional overview based on the course material they taught. The student support was not much of the help either claiming that their instructors are busy professionals.  The BrainStation alumni group was supposed to help us too, but they didn't respond to any of my posts published with the group.  Overall, the course didn't live up to what was promised. The instructors weren't very helpful, and neither was the alumni community. I didn't get the support I was expecting, and I didn't learn as much as I hoped I would. I would not recommend anyone who seeks professional development in Data Analytics to study it with BrainStation.  Read less

 
I have recently completed Brainstation's Web Development Bootcamp and I can confidently say it was an incredible experience. The bootcamp is exceptionally well-structured and meticulously planned, making it easy to follow along and progress through the curriculum. Each week's assignments and submissions were seamlessly integrated, providing valuable hands-on experience and opportunities for growth.One of the highlights for me was the regular project reviews by technical assistants. Their insightful feedback and guidance helped me refine my skills and gain a deeper understanding of the concepts covered. The educators were incredibly knowledgeable, delivering detailed lectures that were complemented by engaging code-along sessions. This combination made complex topics more accessible and understandable.Furthermore, the collaborative environment fostered within the bootcamp allowed me to work closely with peers, enhancing my teamwork and communication skills. Over the course of three months, I immersed myself in various technologies including React, JavaScript, SASS, Node.js, Express, Knex, and MySQL. Despite the intensity of the program, the skills I acquired have been invaluable.Overall, I highly recommend Brainstation's Web Development Bootcamp to anyone looking to advance their skills in the field. It's a rewarding and enriching experience that has greatly contributed to my professional growth. I couldn't be happier with my decision to enroll in this program.

I really enjoyed my time diving into the Brainstation UX Design Course, though it sure got a bit more intense as we moved along. Having an instructor who's in the thick of the UX world made all the difference. They shared loads of real-life insights and examples that just clicked with everything we were learning. Now, I'm super excited to put the finishing touches on my final project. It's going to be a key piece in my portfolio when I start applying for UX/UI Design jobs. Read less
