Great Curriculum and Instructors. Need more Networking

I came to the program with just a little bit of knowledge from Code Academy 2 years ago. (your basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript) But hadn't touched coding in since. The curriculum was structured well and the instructors were always open to questions and problem solving.

The pace was maybe a little slow for me at the end of the 14 weeks, but I put a lot of work in outside of class to make sure I understood the concepts and explored new concepts.

For most people the pace was jus...

    My review of Coding Dojo

I attended Coding Dojo the spring of 2021. I really enjoyed my time there and learned a lot. A few things I really liked about the curriculum. They teach you algorithms not just for interviews but to learn to take a part a problem. Instead of teaching you a language they teach you how to code and how see the parallels between languages so you can learn any language.
I went fulltime, completely online, and it was great that I had an instructor and a TA(teachers a...

    The best FullStack Developer Course!!!!

I really liked this course. I started it in June and finished it in September, they taught me to develop 100% functional applications, the teachers were super functional and I liked the relationships with my friends and the projects that we developed as a team.

    Great foundation

It's a great course to learn the foundations of full stack web development in several languages. The instructors are great and it's a great networking opportunity. The curriculum does have some gaps in terms of some language fundamentals (like access local files or directories or using the assert() function for unit testing). I think it would be great if they offered an advanced or part II course for a given language if you wanted to focus on a particular language rather than learn a few...

    Waste of Money

Coding dojo is far more concerned with their public image than they are with actually providing a good service.
The program is essentially being told to do an algorithm each morning, then a short demo, then read these walls of text on your own, and finally meet up and the end of the day to go over questions. The TA's are inexperienced so much that they more often than not just tell you they have to check with an instructor. All of that would be fine if the instructors were discipline...

    Your effort reflects your outcome

My personal experience of Coding dojo was phenomenal. They have amazing Student support, Career support, Instructors, TA's, and even students(your cohort essentially).
They are fully prepared to assist you and get you learn what you need.
They key to succeed in this program is that you put your 100% effort and most importantly NEVER GIVE UP.
I can't thank all the people who helped me through this program!

    Coding Dojo Review

Very intensive training program, where I started of with Web Fundaments. Then I went through 3 Full Programming Stacks (Python, Java, MERN). The typical day starts with algos of the day, then a morning lecture session/demo students work on assignments, until the evening session. Then the  evening session is the same. The stacks go in this order until graduate: w1: Fundamentals of the language; w2: Framework and Database Language; w3: Putting in all together (fullstack)...Exams ; w4:Exam ...

Work Required | Not a simple pill to become a developer

I looked, sampled and experimented with a few learn to code avenues during the pandemic. Lot's of starting and getting stuck in the weeds. I am very glad to have entrusted Coding Dojo with my time and money. The bootcamp curriculum moves you through with considerable knowledge quickly backed by talented teachers (MERN hats off to Kevin U. and a solid CSS thank you Platt!). Yes it is a brisk pace but this is what is needed. Software programming is one of those careers where smart...

    Best Decision for Career Change

I wasn’t sure if a boot camp or traditional degree would be the right choice for a career change into software development. Career services answered all my questions and solidified my choice in joining the program. I I think that the value in the Coding Dojo experience is that you do heavy hands on coding that will solidify your knowledge in any program you choose. It’s an amazing collaborative community that you get to be apart of and continue to have after you graduate. My time in the ...

    Online Part Time Python Review

Coding Dojo was a great boot camp! I came in knowing nothing about coding at all and left with the ability to build my own website from the ground up! The learning platform was great as well as the support I got from my cohorts, instructors and TA's! Definitely one of the best decisions I have made!

    11B Now Full-Stack Developer

As an ol'head veteran (11B Infantryman), I didn't believe or feel I could learn a new skillset. I thought learning something new would be nearly impossible. 14 weeks later Coding Dojo has proved that theory wrong. I am proud to say that after 14 weeks and self doubt that I have graduated. It was not easy by any stretch of the imagination. You have to work for what you want and they solidify this by implementing a 20 minute rule. Coding Dojo has given me the tools needed to be successful ...
