My Experience with the Boot Camp:
My experience with the boot camp has been nothing short of transformative. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed, covering a wide range of data analytics tools, techniques, and real-world applications. The instructors' expertise and dedication to teaching made the learning process engaging and enjoyable.
My Favorite Aspect of the Program:
If I had to choose a favorite aspect of the program, it would undoubtedly be the collaborative environment. The boot camp fosters a strong sense of community among students, and I had the privilege of learning from and alongside incredibly talented individuals. The group projects and teamwork not only enhanced my technical skills but also prepared me for the collaborative nature of the data analytics industry.
Advice for Prospective Students:
To prospective students considering this program, my advice is simple: embrace the learning journey with an open mind and a growth mindset. Data analytics is a dynamic field that continually evolves, so be prepared to adapt and learn continuously. Don't hesitate to ask questions, seek help when needed, and utilize the resources available to you. Lastly, take advantage of the networking opportunities provided by the boot camp—building professional connections can be just as valuable as acquiring technical skills.
Permission to Share on Course Report and Berkeley Data Analytics Boot Camp Website:
I'm more than happy to share my testimonial on Course Report and grant permission for my words and LinkedIn headshot to be featured on the Berkeley Data Analytics Boot Camp website. It would be an honor to contribute to the program's success and assist prospective students in making informed decisions about their educational journey.
Once again, thank you for considering me for this opportunity. I look forward to sharing my insights and experiences to inspire others on their path to success.

I carefully researched my options for a UX/UI Bootcamp that was credible and part-time and decided on the Trilogy/University of Oregon. The program is very professional and well run. I can't say enough good about the people. The instructor, teaching assistants, and tutors are approachable and knowledgeable.
Some insight I would offer is that one of the most complex parts was learning how to use the tools. Because I had no background in design, the tools were utterly new to me. If I were to do it over again, I would take time to get a jump start and learn the basics of Figma before starting the program. In terms of time commitment, it would have been nearly impossible for me to complete the program while working full-time. I easily spent 20 hours a week on homework alone. Another thing to note is that office hours are 30 minutes before and after every class. They are beneficial, and I attended most of them to ask questions and get help.
My goal was to get the most out of the program, and one thing that was a struggle for me was that I would have liked more support. Office hours are great, but when there are 15 people all waiting to get their questions answered in 30 minutes, there is rarely enough time for everyone. Tutoring is offered once weekly for 45 minutes; if you're struggling, you can request an additional session. I could have easily had 2 - 3 hour weekly sessions because of my many questions. This was not a struggle for everyone in my cohort, but I had A LOT of questions since everything was new to me.
Overall, I would choose the same program if I were to do it all over again. I hope this review gives additional insight to prospective students. With dedication and hard work, you can do this! - 6Reviews4CoursesDigital Workshop Center offers four IT certificate programs: Data Science, Digital Marketing, Front End Development, and UX Design. The teachers work in the industry and are able to speak to what you would be required to learn and do in that field. All material taught is relevant to what the industry calls for and is a great starting point for a Web Development career and all paths you can take with it.
The staff is 100% committed to your success and they go above and beyond to make sure that success happens! After-program career support connected me with tons of resources and got my resume and cover letter seen by real people, who are industry connections of the program. Despite the troubles COVID caused with hiring, they never stopped being active in my job search. There was always someone available to help me with networking contacts, resume and cover letter creation, or as a sounding board to bounce ideas off of. It's nice to have someone on your side.
Once the lockdowns eased and companies were feeling more comfortable, I was in a position to be hired immediately! As long as you put in the effort, you will absolutely get the full benefit out of this program. - 6Reviews1CourseFaculty Fellowship Programme offers a full-time, 8-week data science fellowship in London, England. I learned tons, and the teachers were excellent. The coursebooks are such a valuable tool to use with my projects, and being able to take additional classes live online makes it easy to keep learning. I was able to code a WordPress theme from scratch with what I learned form the WordPress.org class, and was even asked to speak at this past summer's Wordcamp NYC. The instructors know their stuff, and really make learning fun. Nothing is rushed, and they take time to answer all questions. And having the option to re-take a class is also great. These courses were a very worthwhile investment - would recommend to anyone.

My personal experience with QuickStart hasn't been a short one because occasionally staff and recruiters will still check up on me (that's impressive because it's been 2 years since I graduated).
Curriculum: Jam packed curriculum that does contain everything you'll need for tests/exams. Not sure about you, but I'd rather have a boot camp that over informs me on the topic I'm preparing for.
Instructors: I think my instructor's name was Bill. Phenomenal at what he does and an industry expert. So he gave us a heads up on when to look at certain topics and differentiate between an academia standpoint and then how it's done in practice throughout the industry.
Job Assistance: I actually got my job halfway through the course before they officially started helping. I could put N/A for this portion but I put these projects from the boot camp in my resume and know I only got the position due to having taken this boot camp. It made finishing the course harder with a new job, but I did finish things out.
Overall Experience: Typically the overall experience is an average of all other metrics and so this would naturally be a 5 star. I had some worries about how I'd pay for all this and chose one payment type, but that ended up being rough for my situation. QuickStart was actually willing to help me change back my payment method/plan to the one I should have done from the get go though so bonus points and kudos to them for being flexible. Note: I did not convince them to help me by yelling at them or acting like they owed it to me.
Lastly, if you ever get to speak to Gwen, one of the recruiters, or Bill/William, one of the instructors, they are very valuable connections to have. Takeo

What sealed the deal was the 50% tuition rate offered, which cut the price from what felt like an outrageous $12.5k to a much more reasonable $6k. I was out of work (at the start of the course) due to the pandemic so it felt like a good time to jump in.
The course begins with an entry math quiz, which was reasonably difficult. It included things like linear algebra, high-level calculus, and advanced statistics. I had never taken linear algebra before but was able to learn quite a bit with Khan Academy. You don't need a perfect score on this entry quiz, but you do need to score around 80% to my recollection.
The course begins with a month-long Python coding bootcamp. This portion is technically ungraded and you can totally skip it if you have a good background in Python. All the learning occurs on the DataCamp platform while homeworks are completed in Jupyter notebooks. There is a final Jupyter project for this Python coding section which IS graded.
The rest of the course is split into 10 modules. Each module consists of two weeks. The first week consists of recorded lectures, some required textbook reading, a one-hour live office hour, forum discussions, and a coding assignment. The second week typically consists of math-based video lectures, a math quiz or two, and a live coding assignment done together as a class and then finished/submitted on your own. The modules are as follows: Practical Applications of Analytics, Data Structures and Plotting, Introduction to Statistics and Probabilities, Linear OLS Models, Linear Regressions Interactions and Transformations, Logistic Regression and Applying GLM, Data Visualization Strategies, Experimental Design/Causal Research/Targeting Analysis, Machine Learning and the final module is the final project. I found all the modules to be very valuable and a good mix of new challenges/repetition.
The final project basically consists of identifying a potential business problem, curating an applicable dataset, and applying machine learning techniques to attempt to solve the problem. You will use Python and relevant ML libraries (mainly sklearn, but others can be used). The trick to the final project is finding something relatively novel that is also doable. There was a broad range of success/failures among my cohorts' final projects. Some people picked things that were too simple and were basically considered mainstay ML problems (ex. identifying mushrooms/flowers based on measurements) while others picked ML problems that were way too big in scope or ill-defined.
The course is also jam-packed with career-oriented learning opportunities. There are multiple sessions with career coaches and assigned mentors, both group and one-on-ones. Be sure to take full-advantage of these, especially if you are planning on breaking into a new data science role.
Expectations:
Expect to spend at least 13 hours a week on this course. I'm definitely not a slow-learner and I felt 13 hours was my average. Expect to spend even more time if you have any foundational knowledge deficits such as calculus or statistics.
Do not expect to become a pro after just this course. It will give you all the necessary skills and knowledge to further your data science journey, but there is much more to do after. I cannot speak to whether it provides everything needed to become competitive for entry-level data science jobs, but I imagine it does, especially at the larger firms like Amazon, AirBnB, etc.
The things I didn't like:
I wish we had more access to actual Dartmouth faculty members. The only actual Dartmouth faculty member you will see will be in the pre-recorded lectures. All live interactions occur with an Emeritus employee. He does a fantastic job, but you can tell he is teaching multiple courses at once. Don't expect office hours to last more than the allotted hour.
Secondly, I was a little disappointed in the range of knowledge/skills among course participants. It felt like far too much time was dedicated to subjects/knowledge that was included in the entry quiz. What's the point of the entry quiz if we're going to end up going over most of that stuff anyway? It just kind of felt like wasted time and I wasn't getting my full moneys worth reviewing stuff that I felt was foundational.
Third, I wish we had spent a lot more time on machine learning as opposed to the more basic stuff. Again, basic statistics were tested for in the entry quiz. Sure it was nice to learn how to code linear regressions in Python, but the meat and potatoes should have been ML. After all, you really only spend two weeks on the ML stuff and it felt rushed since there is so much to learn in the ML world.
Similarly, I wish we had done the ML stuff earlier in the course or at least touched on it more frequently throughout the course. Ultimately, your entire final project is based on ML. But it's a little annoying to be expected to come up with a final project when you don't even really understand the capabilities of ML, to begin with. I know I felt a little lost and in the dark.
Overall, I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in data science. - 4Reviews2CoursesThe AI Institute is an online Artificial Intelligence and Data Science bootcamp based in Paris, France and Boston, Massachusetts with full-time and part-time... Working for a tech startup without much exposure to either disciplines, I found both courses so incredibly helpful in learning more about the foundation and frameworks for each one. The Cybersecurity course added immediate value to my role at work and even my personal life. It had me do a lot of self reflection. The Machine Learning course was little more challenging, and there were many foreign topics that I never even knew existed. It made me really appreciate the hard work my colleagues do but also have a better understanding of the work they're presenting to our team.- 3Reviews4CoursesChico State, Professional & Continuing Education offers non-credit online bootcamps: Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science & Analytics, and ...
