Springboard is an online learning platform that prepares students for the tech industry’s most in-demand careers with comprehensive, mentor-led online programs in software engineering, data science, UI/UX design, cybersecurity, tech sales, and more. All Springboard courses are 100% online, remote, and self-paced throughout an average of 6-9 months. Springboard acts as a support system, coach, and cheerleader for working professionals who are ready to level-up or make a major career shift. Students have access to a unique community of industry mentors, thought leaders, and alumni, who are on hand to offer insights, networking opportunities, and support throughout the program and well past graduation. Every Springboard student is matched with a personal student advisor and industry mentor who guides them throughout the program through regular video calls.

To apply, applicants fill out an online form, take an aptitude test, then talk with a school representative about their background and motivations. For the data science career track a background in statistics and/or programming is required. For the UX career track, students should have academic or professional background in user design or development-oriented fields.

Before graduation, Springboard’s career services team supports students in their job search, helping prepare them for interviews and networking, and facilitates their transition into the tech industry. Springboard's programs are backed with a job guarantee.

Springboard’s support does not end when students graduate. All graduates benefit from an extensive support network encompassing career services, 1:1 career coaching, networking tips, resume assistance, interview prep, and salary negotiation. Since Springboard was founded in 2013, 94% of eligible graduates secured a job within one year, earning an average salary increase of $26,000.

Be prepared to work hard for your success!

Software Engineering isn't for everyone, so make sure you understand what the day-to-day and challenging parts of an SE career are like by talking to developers in the field. This program is intensive, but even so, expect to dive deeper into books, docs, and other sources outside of the material to learn if you are new to programming. The mentorship program is wonderful and this camp will help you build lots of projects for your portfolio. You have unlimited access to career coaches so m...

    Software Engineering Career Prep

I tried learning software development on my own but it was slow and inefficient. I thought I would try the prep course to feel things out and was blown away. The course is unbelievably well laid out and understandable. I started with very limited exposure to coding and just took my time with the content.  I struggled briefly with the final assessment because they really challenge you. I appreciate the challenge and studied/practiced what they provided and managed to pass the next time. I...

    Great experience

I had a great experience. The course was relatively easy to follow and both mentors and Springboard team were very professional.  They were very prompt about any questions I had, and always offered support for any issues that came up. A challenging course, but not beyond my initial expectations.

A curriculum that can piss you off sometimes, but the fruit of the hardwork and decision to enroll in Springboard are what makes me so proud of myself today.

    UI/UX Design Career Track Program

I just completed Springboard's UI/UX program and can confidently say that this was the best decision I made! Before starting the program, I researched numerous other boot camps and although Springboard was on the pricier side, it also offered the most benefits. Yes, other boot camps may have things they do that Springboard doesn't but what drew me in was the amount of mentorship and career support they had to offer. Weekly calls with an assigned mentor, career mentorship throughout the p...

I don't see any cons with Springboard. Mentors, career counsellors, student advisors are all great . All the mentors are great and knowledgable in their feild. The pros that I felt are note worthy are flexible hours, mentors are so full of knowledge, the way curriculum is organised and the job guarantee program. The main reason to take up this course was, It had the flexibility, everything was structured like mentor calls, projects, and the way all the topics were self explanatory.

    Data Science Career Track Review

I am very satisfied with the overall experience. Shortly after finishing I was able to land a job in Data Science (in Germany- I am German).  The material provides a great overview on the topic, though some of it could be improved. The mentor calls were extremely helpful and motivating for me. Career support was also great.

    Data Science Career Track

    Pros:
Datacamp resource - I really liked in-browser coding paired with short lecture videos to be very effective to get practice with the key parts of data science problem solving.  There were lots of practice exercises that helped give me a better understanding of the concepts.

Mentorship - I really liked my mentor, he was very experienced and had lots of industry knowledge, and it was obvious he had a strong grasp of the subject matter. As a part of the curr...

    Very Thorough!

If you have a baseline knowledge of statistics, business and Excel then this is a very great course! Personally, I did not have any knowledge of Excel prior to this course and very little in business and finances, so it took me a bit longer to finish the course. However, beyond that, the SQL, Python, and Tableau/Power BI skills were amazing and intuitive. Highly recommend!

    Waste of money

I don’t write reviews, but I have to write this particular review and warn others to be careful. Springboard doesn’t teach you anything for their Data Science track program. Don’t waste your good credit score, you will end up being in debt. Their curriculum is poor, and their mentorship program sucks so badly. They basically don’t add any value to you as a student. You will still end up being jobless and in debts due to some hidden clauses in their contracts.

    Student Advisor

    Hello,

Thank you for your review and bringing our attention to this issue. Here at Springboard we set a really high standard to support our students towards a positive learning experience and securing a job in the field upon graduating, and are truly sorry that that standard was not met while you were in the course.

Our Data Science Career Track is one of our longest running and most established programs that we offer, with a proven history of over 92% of grads landing a job in the field within one year of graduating, and an average increase of over $23,000 between their pre- and post-course salaries. The curated curriculum consists of the most cutting edge resources available to learn from, as selected by our team of industry experts and instructional designers. Additionally, we also have an extensive career curriculum integrated directly into the data science curriculum so that students can prepare to land their dream job simultaneously as they develop their technical skills.

Furthermore, we offer an extensive support system to all of our students. This includes weekly 1:1 mentorship calls with a data science professional throughout the duration of the course, 1:1 meetings with career coaches, and assigned student advisors to provide assistance with online learning, time management, and ensuring that students are set up for success.

We recognize that life happens and sometimes students need to step away from the course for a time, and we have a formalized process for students to take breaks in these instances by working together with their student advisor. This process is covered in detail during orientation and there is ample information available on the student 'Help' page in the course dashboard as well. It sounds like this process may have been misunderstood in your case, and if that was due to a miscommunication on our part, then we sincerely apologize.

We are always open to reviewing issues like this on a case-by-case basis and will work with students individually to find a fair solution, especially if the issue was due to any shortcoming on Springboard's part. If you felt that there was anything we could have done better to support you towards a successful experience in the course, we value that feedback and would love to hear from you. Please feel free to contact advising@sprinboard.com and schedule a call with us.

Thank you once again for your review and we look forward to hearing from you.

    Sincerely,
    Dave Austin
