The programs include expert mentor support and academic coaches, and students will build their skills through project-based learning. Applicants will apply through Guild for the certificate programs at Chegg Skills. Chegg Skills was formerly known as Thinkful.

Personally I think a lot of self discipline and commitment to apply what you learn on some passion projects are required in order to make this worth while, but the same can be applied to any other online remote bootcamps. Udemy Jose Portilla data science and machine learning course for $13), but otherwise (if it still has live sessions), it is worth exploring.

Tomé el curso número 14 de este Bootcamp para principiantes en programación entre diciembre de 2022 y abril de 2023. Lastimosamente mi experiencia no fue buena. ¿Por qué? Voy a tratar de ser lo más justo posible y hablar de mi experiencia paricular. 1. INSTRUCTORES: con más de veinte años de experiencia en el medio, saben muy bien lo que hacen y conocen a fondo su oficio. 2. FORMA: El curso se dicta en dos etapas: en la primera no hay clases en vivo. Hay que ver una gran cantidad de videos en los que el instructor va resolviendo problemas específicos para ilustrar los principales comandos de programación de Python. La idea es que usted copie lo que el instructor va escribiendo. Al igual que yo, usted tendrá que ver varios de esos videos varias veces. También hay un repositorio con lecturas teóricas y unos pocos ejercicios (yo no pude resolver ninguno de los que intenté). En la segunda etapa, las clases son en vivo. Se sigue el mismo patrón, es decir, se plantean y resuelven problemas. En general, considero que esta es la forma más acertada de enseñar programación, es decir, enfocándose en lo práctico. Después de esta segunda etapa se pasa a desarrollar el trabajo de grado. 3. LOS PROBLEMAS QUE TUVE: i) La forma de resolver los problemas. Es muy acelerada y densa en cada clase. Básicamente se trata de copiar el código que crea el instructor. El código es muy abundante y denso y se escribe con mucha rapidez. Creo que hubiese sido mejor tener un curso con menos contenido y más práctica. En conclusión, si usted como estudiante aprende de forma pausada y requiere de ejercicios de profundización para consolidar sus conocimientos, realmente creo que este bootcamp no es para usted. Al menos a mí no me funcionó. Posiblemente sea mejor que busque cursos más cortos que le garanticen una buena dosis de práctica.
