I also, considered in-person bootcamps but they were all very expensive, plus they required you to quit your day job to study full-time for several months which increased the overall cost.
I was happily surprised to discover this highly rated online program called nucamp that provided the coding knowledge with a structured timetable to start and complete the material. I could maintain my day job and study during my free hours. I could ask questions when I needed extra help and I could attend an in-person instruction class weekly via Zoom. The instruction was spoken with clear easy to easy-to-understand neutrally accented English, super refreshing.

Start with the things i really enjoy:- Very structural curriculum for each week and enough material for students to study between each workshop.
- Very well designed workshop challenge, its always helpful to code together with a senior programmer and improve yourself.
- The instructor is very seasoned and patient, very good at explaining things and lead us to solve complex problem. And the code review is very detailed and professional.
- I know this is the very first part of the whole bootcamp, however i feel like it is missing some practical element in the curriculum, i would really be interested in how in the real world a project looks like and how programmers are working together. And some insights on how to further develop your python skill for tech interview is always helpful.
- Some of the self study content can be quite difficult and the additional material doesn't seem 100% fit to that specific session.
- Maybe some more hands on code challenges will be useful. So we got to exercise every part of the knowledge we just learned.

Besides, developers get a lot of credit for the work they do. ( QA often gets overlooked).
I was looking to learn something new and have been learning JS and FE on my own for a couple of months at that point. My current company offers a yearly stipend for self-development, which was just enough to pay for the FE course (or pretty much any course in NuCamp).
My goal is become a developer, move up, gain experience, learn BE and make a load of money and gain even more respect for doing such a challenging job. In addition, I love challenge and problem solving.
