Ironhack

When I heard about Ironhack on September 2017 I had no idea that it going to be my school and my future. I was music teacher and I always though that my life was linking with the education. But my life change in a blink of an eye and I decided to look for a new chance in a world with more professional opportunities. And for this reason I studied at Ironhack. 
I had no technology background but I had a big desire to improve and to be a good developer. 
During the bootcamp, Little by little I was grew and was able to overcome challenges I never thought I would. All of this was possible with the enormous support of Teacher Assistants, my colleges and friends. Without them this bootcamp had been very difficult.

I don't even know where to start describing the experience of the last 9 weeks in the IN-PERSONtial UX/UI design bootcamp at Ironhack Lisbon. The quality of the training program is unbeatable. The professionals who make up the teaching staff are of the highest level, both as teachers and as human beings. The kindness and closeness, as well as the positivism in the low moments of such an intense experience, have made that, time after, I still feel moved when I remember them. Moreover, the on-site experience of the course has been crucial for me. I could not imagine it in any other format. The quality of the transmission of the contents, as well as the coexistence with the teaching team and the rest of my classmates, both in my course and those of WebDev and Data Analysis, would not have been of such a high level and would not have exceeded my expectations if it had not been in a face-to-face format. I highly recommend this formula. It feels like a summer camp and you feel it when you leave, but in this case you don't just take friends for life, you change your professional life forever. Hello everyone!
Before starting the bootcamp I was super scared that I wasn't going to be able to follow the classes and understand the content but it turned out to be way better in so many aspects than I could've ever imagined. From my fellow coleagues, to the professors and to the whole staff of Ironhack everyone helped each other out so much that made the whole bootcamp and the whole proccess of learning new things so much easier.
I want to give a special appreciation to Diogo Capitão, the PM on the Lisbon campus for making sure everyone had everything they needed and to attend to everyone's necessities makinhg sure everything went as smoothly as possaible.
On a last note I just want to say it was one of the best decisions I made recently and I highly reccoment it to everyone wanting to shift carreers to any of the bootcamps available. Read less

Bootcamp very formative, which allows to feel confident in its ability to practice this profession quickly after the end of the latter.
Mostly focus on UX side of the work. You will learn to use tools like Figma but these are tools you can went up in skills by yourself. 
What's really nice with ironhack it's that the projects you're working on are done in collaboration with real companies or projects. This help to have your first network in this sector or even it's help to find your first job as a product designer (was my case :) ). 
The other students are your future colleagues because the sector is a small world don't forget that :)  Read less

The Iron Hack bootcamp was an enriching experience on all aspects: professional and personal.
I came out of it with a new job, a new vision of life and an endless ambition. Whether it's from teachers or classmates, every feedback made me grow in an unexpected way.

It was an amazing learning at Ironhack. I chose my career change from Automobile industry to UX/UI design in tech industry. I've decided to start coding and learning data science when I no longer was happy being a journalist. In 3 monthes, i've learned more than i could expect: it was trully life changing! Ironhack helped me a lot during my career transition, the material, methodology and teachers were amazing. The course managed to pass through all the sections of UX/UI in a short amount of time by having fast-paced. 
The teachers always give extra materials for you to deepen your knowledge. 
Carolina, the career coach, has infinite patience to help you analyze and solve your problems.

The staff is always there to help and  the sense of community they provide is awsome and gave me a lot of new friends ! 

It's also a very demanding period, so be prepared... but in the end you will be proud of yourself by completing and learning so much on such short period.

I finished the full-time Web Development bootcamp in September, and was honestly impressed with the amount of knowledge I was able to gain within just 9 weeks! The teachers and all the staff are always available and eager to help us with anything we need. The bootcamp requires a tremendous amount of effort, but absolutely worth it: I landed a Software Developer job shortly afterwards, even with the not-so-great current job market and no previous experience as a developer whatsoever. Ironhack Lisbon also provides us with guidance on a personal level to help us finding jobs after the bootcamp, and having that kind of support meant a lot to and kept me motivated. Ironhack was a fantastic experience.
The instructors were terrific and super available for the students in class and on slack. Their patience was incredible, and the sync between the Teacher and the T.A. was superb. 
The Ironhack community is a massive plus in the BootCamp. It is incredible how they can make you feel like you belong and give all the support in a career transition, both in "academic" knowledge and also in networking, friendship, etc.
The Staff is always ready to help and smooth your way into the new career through seminars, lectures, and workshops, putting you in contact with people in the field or Alumni from Irhonhack who are already employed.
The Career coach was vital for my employment; without her, I would not have made it. She can show you the guts of the hiring process and how to act upon it. Be aware that the scene is super competitive and very unfair, being a good professional is not enough, and the Career coach was vital in showing and strategizing the best plan of action.  Read less

I should start stating about how awesome everyone that I've met in São Paulo's Full-time Web Dev bootcamp was. Even though the experience is very well-structured and very challenging, the most important part about it is how you can push beyond your limits by having great people by your side - students, teachers and other employees of the company. When there was something wrong, or that could be improved, no efforts were measured by Ironhack's team to propose solutions with only one goal in mind: the student's sucess.
