    Codesmith Review

I completed the 8-week Summer academy at Codesmith this past summer and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  At the time I had just finished my MBA at USC Marshall and was looking to continue learning and challenging myself in the available months I had before I began my new role.  I was familiar with Codesmith from their weekly Javascript - The Hard Parts sessions,

    So impressed by Codesmith...

Their program is all about mentorship, and yet at the same time, they create students who become independent problem solvers. It's an intense course, but the instruction and the people at Codesmith are all truly first rate on every level.  Not just awesome at teaching Javascript, but also just incredibly nice people who I enjoy being around. Best program going if you're serious about becoming a software engineer...

    Codesmith is the best!!!

Currently,  there are only a few bootcamps located in Los Angeles. I have attended  meetups and online questionnaires at a few of them e.g MakerSquare,  General Assembly, and Codesmith. My favorite of all is Codesmith for the following reasons...

    Love it!

It's tough for me to write this because it almost sounds contrived, but I love Codesmith most because, it's become my home.

I am currently enrolled in Codesmith's 12-week immersive program.  We have just finished week 4 and I am excited to get started on the project portion in just 2 more short weeks.  I can't say enough good things about this place.  The community is the kind where we spend Sunday together even though it'...

    Well worth the effort.

If I were to recommend a coding bootcamp to anyone, I would undeniably say Codesmith is the way to go. It's high entry-bar ensures that you have a minimal knowledge of Javascript and programming concepts so that you and your classmates can dive right into the curriculum from day 1.

    Curriculum
The focus of the program is not to make you into a 'code guru', but to give you an introduction into what it's like to be a Software Engineer. You get what you put in, bot...

    Supportive, Collaborative, Empathetic

I went through Codesmith in the latter half of 2022 and was placed within a job just under 3 months of graduating. Like many, I was transitioning from a non-tech background, but as soon as you even start learning about and integrating into the Codesmith community, you'll realize how many others like you there are. Also, it's one of the most empathetic and uplifting communities I've been a part of and I still talk to my cohort mates months after graduating together.

    Wonderful and Amazing!

Codesmith offers very broad and comprehensive course in Java Script for beginners. Instructors are great. They teach us all the concepts in very simple way and in very lucid language. Highly recommended course for students who want to begin their career in field of Java Script.

    Stellar, ivy-league quality bootcamp

If you're like me, you're probably creating a huge Excel sheet right now full of every bootcamp in the world and how good their outcomes are so you can try to feel better about a decision everyone else seems to think is so risky and dumb. I mean $20k isn't cheap, and neither is the 3 month commitment to a career you're probably not entirely familiar with.

If you want the best shot at curating a new career for yourself in tech, I'd wholeheartedly recommend Codesmith. I was lucky e...

    Codesmith Review

Codesmith is the best from the curriculum, instructors, all the way to job support. I was a full-time musician before this and had no technical background. I started by doing CSX challenges and attending workshops, taking JSB and CSPrep, all the way to the immersive. I took on the fellowship after graduation and got a job upon finishing the fellowship, WFH at a tech company in Silicon Vally. Every step of the way, I was supported by the most loving, passionate people, from Codesmith staf...

    Codesmith's Part-Time Immersive Program

I chose Codesmith for a number of reasons. I was coding as a hobby for a year prior and decided I wanted to "up my game" and attend the best coding boot camp-style program I could find. Codesmith seemed to have the highest ratings (but highest tuition), but I believe that one generally gets what they pay for. And I was very, very right. The tuition is $20k, but I just landed a job that pays $130k. If you look at Codesmith's independent ratings on CIRR.org, you'll see that I'm not really ...

Life changing - highly recommend if you're ready

The results speak for themselves, and luckily it did for me too.
I was not hired by Codesmith at any point so I hope my perspective can offer meaningful insight. I’ll be as honest as possible, including the parts I thought were challenging. Nothing is ever perfect, but rest assured - I highly recommend Codesmith, and I’m glad I chose Codesmith over other programs.

    Worth the time and money

I went through Codesmith from a non-technical background and it was a great experience and definitely set me up for success in getting a job as a software engineer. I would not have learned even a fraction of the skills if I had tried to do it on my own. The Codesmith community is no joke either -- everyone is helpful and encouraging, and it makes the experience that much better. Definitely worth the time and money spent to change careers and enter an industry I would have had no chance ...
