Great springboard for launching into a new career
I thought that the tutors were really supportive and proactive in helping us all learn with lectures, projects, design sprints all geared towards ensuring we have all the necessary tools for industry. It is a very fast paced course, but I would say it was great that this could all be condensed into 3 months. BrainStation is a great place for networking and building new relationships in tech.

Intense but worth every moment
Just completed the 3-month full time UX Design Bootcamp at BrainStation and it was the best decision I could've made for my career and myself.

Some positives:
Content-wise, the course covered everything you'd need to know to become a UX/ UI Designer -- from UX fundamentals, to motion design to responsive design. I particularly liked that the course had a big focus on both UX and UI (I'm conscious that some other bootcamps do not offer as much focus on the UI side, which is so...
Just completed the 3-month full time UX Design Bootcamp at BrainStation and it was the best decision I could've made for my career and myself.

Some positives:
Content-wise, the course covered everything you'd need to know to become a UX/ UI Designer -- from UX fundamentals, to motion design to responsive design. I particularly liked that the course had a big focus on both UX and UI (I'm conscious that some other bootcamps do not offer as much focus on the UI side, which is so important especially if you do not have a background in design).

In terms of teaching, Antonello and Taylor are both awesome and each bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and perspective. Our Teaching Assistant was also very helpful and was there for us to answer any 'silly' questions.

One of the core highlights of this bootcamp was the ability to interact and work with students from the Web Development & Data Science courses. We did a 24-hour hackathon together and it was a great opportunity to learn about what they do and how to work together (e.g. how to approach design hand-offs to developers). This experience is definitely something that differentiates this bootcamp from others on the market.

Some areas BrainStation can improve on:
In the beginning, I found the teaching pace a bit fast and would've appreciated a bit more help from the educators and Teaching Assistant. (We were without a Teaching Assistant for the first month of the program which definitely impacted our experience as it was harder to seek help).

Overall:
The takeaway message is that this is definitely an intense bootcamp, and will require dedication and commitment to juggle multiple deadlines at once. That being said, it is extremely rewarding. You'll leave the bootcamp with a newfound appreciation of great design, close friendships and 3-4 projects to showcase on your portfolio :)

It's quite hard to put into words how grateful I feel for BrainStation! When I first started looking into bootcamps I was a little bit sceptical about the concept of becoming a "Software Developer" in just 12 weeks.

However, after having finished the bootcamp just now I am more than just blown away. Everything felt super professional from the first calls with the learning advisor, to the interview process, curriculum, and teachers. Massive appreciation go out to Andrew, and Jon who have been our instructors for the past 12 weeks and Jigar (our teaching assistant) who has always helped us with other coding related issues.

It's astonishing to see how well the instructors were able to break down complex topics to make them more digestable. To give you an example, during one of our group projects (group of four), Jon even offered to help us out on the weekend in case we get stuck. I think this just shows how much passion and motivation the instructors at BrainStation have.

I'm more than confident now that I have acquired all the skills to land a job as a junior software developer. Thank You again BrainStation for making all of this possible!!

Best Learning Experience by far!
At first I was skeptical because there would be a lot of information and lessons taught within a very small timeframe. But I came to realize once I started my first week that the educators were all very nice and approachable.
The lessons are broken down in a way that is easy to follow with very minor bumps (like learning Javascript for the first time). The bootcamp is very hands-on with the projects and each project is broken into sprints each week that corresponds to the specific les...

The lessons are broken down in a way that is easy to follow with very minor bumps (like learning Javascript for the first time). The bootcamp is very hands-on with the projects and each project is broken into sprints each week that corresponds to the specific lessons within that week.
The educators were all great and professional. They always took the time to make sure you know what you should know. They empathize with you and your position in your career transformation. They are very knowledgeable and sometimes take time away from school time just to help out with a problem.
I was first worried about some of my classmates being way too advanced in terms of knowledge, but turns out most of them are just starting a new career change with you. They are all supportive and always take time to help anyone in need.
If you're skeptical about educators and your potential cohorts, don't be because majority are very supportive. Everyone just wants everyone to succeed, whether it be your educators or fellow classmates. And who knows, you might be able to make a few friends out of it!

Amazing!
Great instructors, very human approach, extremely challenging at times, but definitely worth your time! Some projects seem impossible to produce in such a short time, but the educators really have our backs. One of the biggest takeaways from the bootcamp is definitely that programming is a TEAM SPORT, which was very eye-opening for me.

Waste of money
The BrainStation Python Course is the biggest grift on the internet. The instructors were good but the syllabus was empty. It was not worth the amount charged for it. I felt they just took advantage of my lack of knowledge about what Python entails to sell a very substandard product. They also claimed that there would be a complete collaborative Python Data project. Spoiler alert: That did not exist.

I recommend this course for someone will little to no experience or an individual who worked in social. It is an excellent refresher program for those with some experience, and you will update your skills.
