The education experience I had at brainstation was the best learning experience I’ve ever had in my life. The educators/staff were all amazing and I would recommend this course to anyone with a desire to learn to code. It was difficult without a doubt but do yourself the favor and sign up.

BrainStation provided a fantastic learning environment from their campus in Shoreditch. I found the lecturers informative, passionate, and highly engaging. The pace of the course is well thought through with consistent support. I left with an in-depth knowledge of the technologies that companies are looking for.

Great upskilling for people in tech

The course is highly recommended for people who are interested in product development in general.

I have read "The Lean Startup" by Eric Ries before, and was intrigued by those ideas for developing new products, especially in tech industry. Lean, MVP, validated learning, and finding Product-Market Fit are all amazing concepts, and here the course provides very well structured and detailed illustrations on these with updated tools including Figma, Google Analytics and ChatGPT. The practical industry examples provided by instructors also add a lot of context for the methodologies, which give students a more concrete sense of how those frameworks are implemented in reality.

    Data Analytics Review

My experience in the data analytics course has been mostly positive. I would give the course a 3.5/5 in terms of my overall experience. The course content was helpful from an introductory lense, and there was a wide variety of topics covered. To get more value out of the course personally, I think I will need to practice solving more SQL queries via another Udemy course.

We had 2 instructors who taught us data analytics, Calvin and Ramin. I think Ramin is a thoughtful and knowledgeable instructor in his delivery. You can tell he is very experienced. Calvin was knowledgeable, given his work experience at Amazon and Masters in Analytics but he needs to improve his communication and presentation skills. I don't think he was very effective teacher compared to Ramin.

There are 2 major improvement areas for this course in my opinion: (1) Weekly Tutorials and (2) Mandatory Quizzes would really help the content stick a lot better.

    (1) Setting aside 1hr per week for instructors to provide tutorials for students (this could be virtual or in-person time slots for students to come in, ask questions about homework or concepts that they don't yet understand)

    (2) Mandatory quizzes could help instructors better gauge progress of each student and could also help identify problem areas early, which could be addressed in tutorials.

    Great supplement as a developer

I took this course through an Ambassador program offered post-web development bootcamp at BrainStation. The course was really helpful for learning about the process of UX design and I felt like every lecture I took away several key points that I will definitely apply in the future. The class was small and the instructors excellent. Overall, a great experience.

The only small disappointment with the course is that the curriculum itself does not cover the use of Figma but it is expected to be used, which made the course more time-intensive than I was expecting. All in all I spent much more time on the final project in the last couple weeks than I really expected, but I don't still don't feel it is portfolio-ready as advertised due to not quite having enough time / efficiency here to polish this well, not for a lack of trying. But, the course definitely provided me with the process such that I can polish this off in my own time in the future.

A good course if have some industry knowledge

BrainStation's Data Science course impressed with its comprehensive curriculum, expert instructors, and hands-on approach. The well-structured program seamlessly progressed from fundamentals to advanced concepts, emphasizing practical application through real-world projects. Instructors were knowledgeable and enriched the overall experience. The course's emphasis on industry-relevant skills and project-based learning equips students with practical knowledge, making it a highly recommended choice for those entering the field of data science.
However, the length of the course could be longer giving more time to practice different models.

Software Engineering BootCamp London In Person

This course really over delivers on the prospectus. It is very intensive, but if, like me, you want to get to a point where you can build-out some tech ideas as soon as possible then this is the course for you. The teachers are incredible, the structure and pacing of the materials has been carefully considered and the management around the delivery of the course itself is first rate.

If you're attempting to learn Web Development from online providers  (e.g. through YouTube or PluralSight, Coursera etc.) and you find yourself hitting walls - then I would strongly recommend taking this course. It's 12 weeks and you will be up to speed before you know it. You will level-up and unlock a whole world of further learning and self-study to really become a strong Software Engineer.  If you're not looking to build products for yourself, BrainStation also provide great support for getting into the industry upon graduation.

Super intensive bootcamp, great support, highly recommended

I learned SO MUCH in the 2.5 month of the data science bootcamp at BrainStation! The pace is very quick, and it is ESSENTIAL you come prepared - at least able to code in Python, know basic stats and linear algebra.  The educators are amazing, very good student to teacher ratio.  Amazing sense of community and career support.  I highly reocmmend it.

Great content, Great instructors, Great insights

This is my fourth course with Brainstation, and evidently so. They just know how to properly deliver information to help you further your career. The AI course was no different than the others. Brent and Matt were ready to provide valuable insights, build upon the class's knowledge and experience and further conversation based on their own day-to-day experience in the field. If you're someone who's seeking information about AI and ways to apply it in your role, business, or just for fun. This would be the course for you. I couldn'r recommend Brainstation more.

    Intensive and focused

I never expected to have the chance to even go to a software engineering bootcamp, let alone study and work all day on projects and code-alongs. BrainStation Miami was a golden opportunity, and one I do not regret in the slightest. From morning challenges to collaborative projects, from frontend and backend lab work to resume and career building opportunities, this bootcamp was well worth the time and the effort.

    Exciting!

I am someone who has worked in retail for over 10+ years. Was motivated for a career change and wanted to gain a new skill and took the opportunity to take a UX course. I came into my first class completely blind, nervous, and 0 knowledge of how to even use a computer/laptop (I’m a terrible millennial)! Rana and Jason were such personable kind instructors who taught the class using real life work experience to explain everything throughly. Although my general lack of tech knowledge, I ended the course with more confidence & knowledge on how to be a UX designer!

    Wonderful Bootcamp for Aspiring PMs

My experience at BrainStation was wonderful! I went for Product Management, which was an in-person PM course for 8 weeks. The instructors were highly skilled in their area and provided lots of relevant examples happening in the industry right now. The content was very informative, and I liked how the class was very interactive. The final project allowed me to get to know my teammates and apply the learnings from class. During non-class times, the instructors provided async support for our final project, which was very collaborative and fun! I would highly recommend this course!

    Overwhelming, all-inclusive

Overall I believe the course tried to cover too much in too short a period of time for students to really learn the skills taught in class. I think this is great exposure for someone new to data, but this course is better for someone with previous experience with SQL and Tableau. The topics covered are relevant, but I recommend focusing on mastering fundamentals more and on advanced topics less. The instructors are knowledgeable, and where I believe most of the value in the course lies.
