The very first batch of Data Engineering course graduate here (3/4 modules). I have to mention I was lucky and got this course for free due to some circumstances of the courses launch, also most of the issues with my experience I'm going to mention are rectified by now.

Overall - the course itself and the platform was great, however there were some issues with project review availability and deadline terms. The first three modules have a lot of good material although sometimes there seems to be duplicate coverage on the same topic and it took quite a bit longer than the claimed period to finish. It is not a beginner friendly kind of course. You have to have at least SQL and some programming language experience above amateur level otherwise you will struggle.

The fourth optional module is where you get to choose one of four big data providers/solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP/On prem) and I chose GCP. Sadly there wasn't a solution in place on how to get credits to complete project part of the sprints and since I have long exhausted my free credits on GCP I could not continue as funding it would've costed me a months rent or more (cloud composer project where the solution requires a service that is not pausable/suspendable and has to run an instance 24/7 @ ~0.45 cents/hour + other instances) depending on how long it would've took me to complete it and get reviewed.

Now that we have the small negatives out of the way: the STL's were great, they shared hands-on experiences working in the field during stand-ups and post project review; there were interesting projects to do; peers were friendly and helpful; feedback on the course was valued and taken; support staff was great in responding to issues.

All in all I'm quite satisfied with this course, I feel I learned a lot about being a Data Engineer. Read less

The course gives you a strong background in SQL and data visualization tools, which you immediately apply in extensive and challenging practical projects. They are then reviewed in-person together with an industry expert, which I also found very useful. I recently earned my certificate from the Data Analytics program at Turing College. I specifically chose Turing College for its accessibility and extensive support, which stood out compared to any bootcamp I researched in the US. The structured, project-based curriculum (self-paced with recommended deadlines) is curated from the latest information available online and is regularly updated by active industry experts to keep pace with the rapidly changing technology landscape.

The program was absolutely challenging and comprehensive, covering all the essential skills and knowledge needed to become a proficient data analyst. It far exceeded my expectations in terms of what I would learn. At times, the challenges were intense, but support was always readily available. I could easily join various open sessions offered throughout the week, collaborate with peers and senior industry experts during weekly standups, and get individual support through Discord from fellow students. The community was incredibly supportive and eager to help, and I had the opportunity to connect with people from all over the world, which was a fantastic experience.

After graduation, Turing College continued to offer assistance through career coaching, including resume help and job search strategies. This ongoing support has been invaluable as I transition into my new career.

One area for improvement would be the timing of learning the GitHub platform. Introducing GitHub earlier in the program would have allowed me to build my portfolio more effectively as I progressed through the projects and made my submissions more organized and readable.

Overall, I highly recommend Turing College. They offer the complete package, from mastering the basics to advanced analysis, along with a world of support.  Read less

I have been a Web Development student at TC for 6 months, I am currently halfway through the course.

After researching different programs, their curricula, and student satisfaction, I came across Turing College.

I applied for a scholarship and encountered a smooth interview process, with the Staff being helpful and responsive, which immediately left a great first impression.
When I got accepted for the scholarship, I was worried that I might have gotten myself into a scam, as it simply seemed too good to be true!

My experience with TC has honestly been nothing short of amazing.
It was no problem to delay the start of my studies to a time that suited me better as I had to re-organise my existing responsibilities.


What I enjoy at Turing College:

Self-paced learning:
I can organise my learning time around my responsibilities, I have the opportunity to attend open sessions or senior open sessions to discuss ideas or problems I encounter.
It is very fair that you can extend deadlines and have extension days, applying for extensions for varying reasons has been smooth for me.

A well-curated curriculum:
The curriculum covers a lot of relevant topics with the opportunity to dive deeper into topics of interest.
Building projects lets you put your theoretical knowledge into practice and helps you understand them better.
I have friends who are senior developers and they were impressed by the things I am learning.

Project Reviews:
The opportunity to have my projects reviewed by senior devs who work at really cool companies, their feedback is incredible and it simulates a real-world environment. It also gives me confidence in how to present my projects and interact with industry professionals, strengthening my technical communication.

Peer Reviews:
I have learned a lot by reviewing my peers' projects and had incredible reviews from other learners. It is great to see different solutions and compare how I decided to implement things or solve problems. It showed me that there are many ways and angles how to approach a task.

Support:
My experience interacting with TC staff has been great, they are always friendly and helpful. Studying remotely, I value that they are highly responsive and don't leave me hanging for days or "forget" about any questions I need answering.

I do not have anything negative to say from my experience. The only thing I miss is not having the ability to meet up with peers or seniors in real life, obviously, that option is there if you live in Lithuania.

I obviously cannot give any feedback on anything job-related like mock interviews and interview prep and how the support will be when I reach this stage.

It is a competitive market for junior developers, but I have confidence, that the skills and knowledge I learn at TC will result in a solid foundation to change careers and find my first junior position next year.

I studied Data Analytics course in Turing College. At first I was skeptical at all the good reviews, however I learned quite quickly, that they're all true. The learning program is project and self study based, so you have to learn how to do things by yourself, but don't worry - there's always someone there to help you if you needed it: you can join online calls with senior students or even industry professionals and ask for help if you're stuck somewhere, and there's hundreds of students who are always willing to help and guide you along the way. The community is just incredible. The studies are hard, but they're really enjoyable and fun! If anyone is interested in Turing College, definitely give it a shot, you won't regret it! Read less

I chose Turing College to kickstart my career in Digital Marketing field and it has been an amazing experience so far. Learning new things sometimes feels really challenging but it is good that we can always attend open sessions to discuss difficulties and questions with field experts and peers.

I am thrilled to have been able to participate in Turing College's Data Analytics course. The courses were interesting and helpful in expanding my understanding of the field of data.

All students were guaranteed to be well-organized and to know precisely when to complete and turn in their projects according to the course format, which was broken up into sprints with defined deadlines. Every project was put through a rigorous review procedure, which was conducted by a peer, and Senior Team Lead (STL). Before going on to the next sprint, this two-tier review method made sure that the work was of the highest caliber and that everyone understood the subject matter.

One of the highlights of my experience at Turing College was the sense of community. I met many new friends who shared my passion for data. We regularly exchanged thoughts on our projects, job opportunities, and data insights, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
