1,766 Reviews 10 Courses

Springboard is an online learning platform that prepares students for the tech industry’s most in-demand careers with comprehensive, mentor-led online programs in software engineering, data science, UI/UX design, cybersecurity, tech sales, and more. All Springboard courses are 100% online, remote, and self-paced throughout an average of 6-9 months. Springboard acts as a support system, coach, and cheerleader for working professionals who are ready to level-up or make a major career shift. Students have access to a unique community of industry mentors, thought leaders, and alumni, who are on hand to offer insights, networking opportunities, and support throughout the program and well past graduation. Every Springboard student is matched with a personal student advisor and industry mentor who guides them throughout the program through regular video calls.

To apply, applicants fill out an online form, take an aptitude test, then talk with a school representative about their background and motivations. For the data science career track a background in statistics and/or programming is required. For the UX career track, students should have academic or professional background in user design or development-oriented fields.

Before graduation, Springboard’s career services team supports students in their job search, helping prepare them for interviews and networking, and facilitates their transition into the tech industry. Springboard's programs are backed with a Money-Back Guarantee.

Springboard’s support does not end when students graduate. All graduates benefit from an extensive support network encompassing career services, 1:1 career coaching, networking tips, resume assistance, interview prep, and salary negotiation. Since Springboard was founded in 2013, 94% of eligible graduates secured a job within one year, earning an average salary increase of $26,000.

    Student Advisor

    Nov 10, 2022

    Hello,

Thank you for your review and bringing our attention to this issue. Here at Springboard we set a really high standard to support our students towards a positive learning experience and securing a job in the field upon graduating, and are truly sorry that that standard was not met while you were in the course.

Our Data Science Career Track is one of our longest running and most established programs that we offer, with a proven history of over 92% of grads landing a job in the field within one year of graduating, and an average increase of over $23,000 between their pre- and post-course salaries. The curated curriculum consists of the most cutting edge resources available to learn from, as selected by our team of industry experts and instructional designers. Additionally, we also have an extensive career curriculum integrated directly into the data science curriculum so that students can prepare to land their dream job simultaneously as they develop their technical skills.

Furthermore, we offer an extensive support system to all of our students. This includes weekly 1:1 mentorship calls with a data science professional throughout the duration of the course, 1:1 meetings with career coaches, and assigned student advisors to provide assistance with online learning, time management, and ensuring that students are set up for success.

We recognize that life happens and sometimes students need to step away from the course for a time, and we have a formalized process for students to take breaks in these instances by working together with their student advisor. This process is covered in detail during orientation and there is ample information available on the student 'Help' page in the course dashboard as well. It sounds like this process may have been misunderstood in your case, and if that was due to a miscommunication on our part, then we sincerely apologize.

We are always open to reviewing issues like this on a case-by-case basis and will work with students individually to find a fair solution, especially if the issue was due to any shortcoming on Springboard's part. If you felt that there was anything we could have done better to support you towards a successful experience in the course, we value that feedback and would love to hear from you. Please feel free to contact advising@sprinboard.com and schedule a call with us.

Thank you once again for your review and we look forward to hearing from you.

    Sincerely,
    Dave Austin

    Hello,

Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear if you do not feel you got the most value out of your course.

We do proudly back our programs up with a Job Guarantee, meaning that we are so confident in our program's ability to prepare you for a career in the field, that we guarantee you'll land a job in the field within 6 months of graduating or your tuition money back. To best set students up for a successful career search, we do expect that they will meet certain requirements, which include completing all of the career-readiness units in the curriculum, covering topics such as updating your LinkedIn and resume, networking strategies, writing cover letters, salary negotiation, and a vigorous mock interview process. Students meet with career coaches regularly along the way, both during and after the course, to support them with their job search.

Our curriculum also consists of the best resources available for both technical subject matter as well as career readiness, as curated by our team of industry experts, career coaches, and instructional designers. Throughout the course, students have access to a number of resources and subject matter experts who can provide support and feedback on exercises: weekly calls with your assigned mentor throughout the entire course, Teaching Assistants, weekly office hours, as well as an online Slack community where students can ask and answer questions with their peers, alumni, and professionals in the field. If you were not aware of any of these resources and how to take advantage of them, that's a miss on our part, and we sincerely apologize.

We'd love to connect with you to hear more about your experience and learn how we could have done better. If you are open to discussing this with us, please reach out to advising@springboard.com and we'd be happy to schedule a call.
