There's a lot of information...Starting with a small amount of coding knowledge, this course did wonders and helped me learn so much. I will say that I much enjoyed the backend technologies that this bootcamp taught rather than the frontend technologies. There's a lot of information being taught and it can be a bit overwhelming, especially if you are trying to speed run the assignments. Also, I do recommend knowing a bit about javascript, html, and css. The reason being that this course hits the ground running hard and fast, and it can get easy to be left behind if you plan on completing everything early or on time.
Things I liked about the course were the topics covered, mentors, career coaches, and support staff. Topics covered are relevant to today for the most part. For mentors there are a handful you can choose from and they will help you with any question you have. My mentor was fantastic and went above and beyond what I expected of him. The career coaches are super helpful when it comes to jobs and what people look for. The support staff is also great and will answer any questions or concerns you have fairly quickly.
Things I disliked about the course were the outdated code, dependencies, and price. Sometimes the starter code and dependencies were outdated but for the most part it was fine. As for the price it is on the higher side compared to other bootcamps.

While I received assistance and input from my mentor, there was really very little other guidance through the program. The resources utilized for the curriculum are reasonable... but some were less than exemplary. Some of the reference materials are from providers in the industry and so offer information primarily about the products that they offer rather than an overall experience. I feel that the time spent moving through the curriculum was a great deal higher than the estimates and averages offered by the program. Reading the articles and watching the videos, while taking notes on the information, was much more time consuming than expected.

For example, my first mentor gave me 0 support during the first month and ghosted me, which set me back a lot. I ended up requesting to be rematched. My second mentor was very knowledgable and helpful. However, for the first half of the course I only got to meet with him every 2 weeks, which left me blocked without feedback for long periods of time. The curriculum is mostly a curation of online articles and youtube videos - practically no original content. There are some really helpful resources in there, but you reap what you sow. I'd advise you to dive deep into the curriculum and make use of the resources (mentor calls, on-demand mentor calls, pauses, the slack community, student advisors, etc). During the majority of the course, the student advising team members were super helpful, but towards the end I dealt with quite an unprofessional one. The Head of Admissions, Justin, will charm you into signing up, but once you’re in, communication is nonexistent. You’re left dealing with unhelpful Zendesk employees who take forever to respond with vague, useless answers—if they even bother to get back to you at all.
I requested a refund after my disastrous experience, and it was a nightmare. First, they claimed it would take 45 days. When the time passed, they blamed a “glitch” and asked me to wait another 3-10 days—only to ultimately deny the refund altogether. Now I’m involving my bank to resolve this mess.
The content they charge $8-10k for is laughable—completely outdated and freely available online. Their so-called “mentors” and “career counselors” are unprofessional and unhelpful, constantly rescheduling and offering useless advice like suggesting entry-level IT Help Desk jobs. You’d be better off watching free Professor Messer videos and using LinkedIn Learning.
