    Thorough

Springboard is an excellent choice for students who want a thorough UX education that prepares you for real-world work with guided mentorship - both for the course material and career-wise. I found the curriculum to be extensive, thorough and challenging. I was initially worried because the first part felt "easy" because I had already taken a few shorter UX courses, but once we got into the middle-part of the course, my abilities were pushed and stretched, and I learned a great deal. The evidence of my progress can be found in my designs and solutions pre-Springboard and now. I am a far better UX designer as a result of the course, and am already employed full-time. I would not be in this position without Springboard.

    Data Analytics Career Track

I loved everything about this course. It gave me the flexibility to finish it around my schedule while working & enabled me to learn a new skill set for future career opportunities. I did not know anything about Data Analytics before enrolling in the course, but after completing the course I feel extremely confident that I will find an opportunity to use my new skills in this industry. I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in Data Analytics.

    UI/X Bootcamp

I was reluctant to join a bootcamp from the beginning. Would an online experience truly provide me with the skills that I needed to become and industry professional. After completing the course I can confidently say that you get out of the course what you put in. For prospective students, the value of this course is not in the certificate you receive at the end, but the portfolio you build out. Many of the learning materials could be found for free online, however the community, mentorship and portfolio guidance are where Springboard excels.

Great Mentorship and Curriculum. More Real World Practice and Repetition Required.

Springboard provides a high-level overview of data analytics. It is self-paced and convenient for those who are trying to learn with other time constraints. The statistics methodology is sound and concise. It was the perfect complement and review to my Quantative Analysis MBA class and Linear Optimization class. Springboard teaches the fundamentals, but students must take the initiative after the course to continually practice and learn to handle exceptions that were not covered in the course. The course focuses on analyzing data once it is cleaned, but data cleaning techniques are necessary to be successful in the industry if you're not given a clean dataset by a data scientist or a data engineer. I became more confident and learned more after internships with data that required mining and cleaning than simply by focusing on concepts in class. If Springboard incorporates an internship, then it would be excellent!

The mentors come from the industry and have worked at major companies like Hewlett Packard. Career coaches have worked in a variety of industries as recruiters. So, their advice can be helpful. Everyone wants you to succeed. So, it was a positive experience.

My review of Springboard will be complete when I am employed. If I gain employment, then it was worth the effort. If not, then perhaps the program needs adjustments.

    Springboard Data Analytics Career Track

Springboard's Data Analytics Career Track curriculum covers a multitude of topics, both technical and non-technical.  While most students are focused on learning software and other technical aspects, Springboard also has a heavy focus on career development and the 'soft' skills necessary to build a network to help you find a role and build upon in the future.

The career guidance is supported by your personal mentor, the Springboard staff and a library of helpful reference documents.  Whether you need help with a piece of software, job guidance or stuck on a certain question, help is easy to get.

The curriculum is well thought out in it's layout and builds an early foundation that is utilized in later units.

I definitely recommend this certification and its ability to set you up for future success.  Use this link for a course discount  https://www.springboard.com/invite/5SC3U

If you're looking to switch careers..

Springboard provided me with the tools needed to jumpstart my career in UI/UX Design. I highly recommend enrolling in this course if you are interested in making a career change or pivot from your current role. They thoroughly explain every detail/process of UI/UX design and are constantly updating the curriculum to stay as relevant as possible. However, I whole-heartedly believe you get what you put into it. My advice would be to take advantage of your mentor's time and go the extra mile in your projects, you won't regret it!

    Worth It

If you're considering a career in Data Analytics but don't know where to start - Springboard is for you. They give you all the tools you need to get started and provide support every step of the way. Is it challenging? YES! And that's GREAT because they really prepare you for what you can expect in real situations. Is the curriculum perfect? No, occasionally the directions would be contradictory or confusing. BUT there are many mentors, students, and advisors ready to help or fix such things as you come across them.
I researched many courses before deciding on Springboard. I don't think you'll find a better price for the support and education you get from them. I am actually confident I will get a job as a data analyst because of Springboard. I came from an arts background, with no analytics experience, and 8 months later am being interviewed for data analyst positions. I got SO much out of this course and am happily writing this review because I truly believe others can too.

    Great Experience

I planned to transit my career into a data-related position in March 2020 and wanted to study all the required knowledge. I chose Springboard Bootcamp as a start and it turned out to be a wonderful decision.
The Bootcamp has an organized curriculum schedule which includes topics from basic python coding, data analysis technique, to lots of machine learning techniques. Everything is well explained, and the Bootcamp provides lots of materials to help students understand the knowledge. Each student will also be matched with a mentor, who is very experienced in the data industry. The student will have a call with the mentor every week to review the homework and to discuss the problems that the student might have. I found this mentor call very helpful. My mentor taught me a lot about real-world data science knowledge, and well explained the data problems I met.
Besides all the technical parts, Springboard also provides a wonderful full career coach service. They taught me how to do networking, how to update my resume and cover letter, and well prepared me for the future interviews.
Overall, I give 5/5 stars for my experience at Springboard.

    UI/UX Design Career Track

Springboard was such a wonderful experience. I learned so much and gained so many valuable skills that will help with a future in the UI/UX design industry. My favorite part of the course is the 1:1 mentorship. I learned the most from my mentor, getting to learn and hear about real life experiences in the field through them. Toward the end of the program students are given the opportunity to get matched with a real client to work with them for 4 weeks. These are just a few of the positive things when you take a course with Springboard. I cannot wait to land a great job and carry all of my learned skills to create wonderful experiences.

I enrolled at Springboard for Data Science Career Track. It took me about 8 months to finish the curriculum, with a weakly mentor calls. I also worked on two data science projects using machine learning and deep learning. it was a lot of content and I feel more confident about my abilities now that I finished the course. the advisors were always responding and helpful and from the learning part I believe it did a pretty decent job and I got what I expected, of course there is always room for improvement but I am satisfied with the experience.

Springboard is a great eLearning platform and I had a great experience learning there!

I have enrolled for the  Data Science Career Track program at Springboard and I had a great learning experience there. Springboard has a very good course curriculum which guides from the basic to higher level. The course curriculum has two capstone projects and 14 mini projects which helps to understand the Data Science concepts very well. The best part of the course is they provide us a weekly call with an industry expert mentor who guides throughout the course and also they have unlimited mentor calls facility to clear any doubts throughout the week. We also had calls with a career coach who helped with tailoring portfolio, resume, guided for networking, behavioral interview and many more to get ready for the interviews. We also had office hours for general Data Science and career services. I had great experience with my student Advisor Atiriya who was very understanding, flexible and granted me several course breaks when I needed one. At the end of the course, we had four mock interviews on General Data Science, Coding, Project Walkthrough and Behavioral which helped us to review all the course curriculum and get ready for the real interviews. Now I am confident to apply all my Data Science knowledge in my job and loved learning at Springboard.

    Great Mentor Experience

The mentor experience made this for me. My mentor was a very experienced UX designer and had lots of great knowledge. Some of the course material is outdated as this is an ever changing field, but my mentor helped keep me on track with the latest UX design trends. He also helped push my work and myself and I have much better portfolio because of him.

The course and structure are pretty strong. The mentorship is the highlight of the program. If you have a good mentor you have an amazing support system. The time frames are not accurate as mentioned. It tends to increase towards the end.

    Software Engineering Career Prep

The Springboard Software Engineering Career prep is not worth it. You can learn all you need on free code camp or other online sources. I spent 490 dollars on this course and all it was videos. The instructor Colt Steele is great, however, there needs to be WAY more practice problems after the videos. There are 3 units HTML, CSS, and Javascript and the course itself should take about 6 weeks. Only one assignment is looked at by a human being, which is fine, however, it would be nice if the company provided additional practice problems with answer keys.  You also get a mentor call each week but lose access to the mentor once you complete all the course work. I will only get about 2-3 calls with my mentor before completing the program. My mentor told me that they would provide me with additional work/practice problems, however, that never happened. For $490 dollars, my expectations were significantly higher. I would not recommend this program and I would be wary of taking their career path program. Also, if you are not a motivated person unless you get grades, or have accountability in the classroom, DO NOT TAKE THIS. I am very motivated and was able to complete the course in less than 30 days. I'm sorry but Springboard is a money scam. Please do your research before taking any classes, there are so many resources out there for free. I really wish I could get a refund.

    Hi Lauren,

Thank you for taking the time to share about your experience, we're sorry to hear that our program did not meet your expectations. We set a really high standard at Springboard to support students towards a positive learning experience and are truly sorry that that standard was not met while you were in the course.

It sounds like you would have benefited from having more practice opportunities with feedback from industry professionals. Providing such opportunities is an integral part of our course model, and we apologize if we came up short in your case. Our Software Engineering Career Track Prep curriculum consists of the best resources available for learning the foundations of software engineering, as curated by our team of both industry experts and instructional designers. Throughout the course, students have access to a number of resources and subject matter experts who can provide support and feedback on exercises: weekly calls with your assigned mentor (one each week for the full 6 weeks), Teaching Assistants available for live chat directly through the course dashboard, weekly office hours hosted by a mentor, as well as an online Slack community where students can ask and answer questions with their peers, alumni, and professionals in the field. If you were not aware of any of these resources and how to take advantage of them, that's a miss on our part, and we sincerely apologize.

We'd love to connect with you to hear more about your experience and learn how we could have done better. If you are open to discussing this with us, please reach out to advising@springboard.com and we'd be happy to schedule a call.

    Sincerely,

    Good things from Springboard

First some good - Springboard's UX Design Career Track course is pretty amazing. An opportunity to work and learn through the UX design process from start to finish. For me, it was a great chance to hone in on where I wanted to specialize - a chance to see weaknesses, strengths, gaps, etc. Now for the downside - if you choose this Springboard course (which I think you should), be prepared to set aside double the amount of time that is estimated to complete the course. Each project, each assignment, and the course in general take much longer to complete than estimated. If you work full-time or are a parent, do anticipate this 6-month course could likely take you 9-10 months to complete. Finally, the best for last - the mentoring that comes with this course. My mentor was instrumental in my succes. All of the mentors are established leaders in UX. You meet with them weekly throughout the course, and this was the single most valuable piece of the course. The mentorship was second to none, and having that relationship with one person for the duration was super meaningful!

    Data Analytics

Expect a solid grounding in SQL, MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python, and Presentation skills.  Everything you need to be a functional Data Analyst.  The platform they use is very slick and user friendly.  They intelligently use Business concepts, including Finance, Statistics, and Economics as a context to learn Data Analytics skills.  The curriculum will not teach these topics themselves, but provide context to create the feel of a real-world data analytics project.  Job search support is excellent and will get you on the right track to finding employment.  Mentorship I found to be very informed and helpful.  They offer really more support than you could realistically consume.  No reason why anyone would leave disappointed in this course.
