Springboard is an online learning platform that prepares students for the tech industry’s most in-demand careers with comprehensive, mentor-led online programs in software engineering, data science, UI/UX design, cybersecurity, tech sales, healthcare, and more. All Springboard courses are 100% online, remote, and self-paced throughout an average of 6-9 months. Springboard acts as a support system, coach, and cheerleader for working professionals who are ready to level-up or make a major career shift. Students have access to a unique community of industry mentors, thought leaders, and alumni, who are on hand to offer insights, networking opportunities, and support throughout the program and well past graduation. Every Springboard student is matched with a personal student advisor and industry mentor who guides them throughout the program through regular video calls.

To apply, applicants fill out an online form, take an aptitude test, then talk with a school representative about their background and motivations. For the data science career track a background in statistics and/or programming is required. For the UX career track, students should have academic or professional background in user design or development-oriented fields.

Before graduation, Springboard’s career services team supports students in their job search, helping prepare them for interviews and networking, and facilitates their transition into the tech industry. Springboard's programs are backed with a Money-Back Guarantee.

Springboard’s support does not end when students graduate. All graduates benefit from an extensive support network encompassing career services, 1:1 career coaching, networking tips, resume assistance, interview prep, and salary negotiation. Since Springboard was founded in 2013, 94% of eligible graduates secured a job within one year, earning an average salary increase of $26,000.

An Experience That is Worth It

If you're someone who wants to stay accountable yet have a flexible schedule, I'd strongly recommend Springboard. I chose Springboard over other boot camps for a few reasons: They had 1:1 mentorship, an adequate amount of projects for your portfolio, and a supporting community.

The 1:1 mentorship sold me as I always wanted to be guided by someone who had the experience and could enable me to grow. I learned so much from my mentor from concepts in the real world, to how to improve my designs. I loved that the UI UX design track was an intensive 9 month course that would enable me to come out of a boot camp with four projects to showcase on my portfolio. I didn't have a portfolio or any background in design prior to this so this was quite important to me. I am proud of what I created and showing in my portfolio and its all thanks to Springboard. I'd want to give a shout out to the Springboard advisors and other Springboard employees because they make an effort to do what's best for you. They are very understanding if problems arise and will try their best for you.

The bad parts? I initially expected the Industry Design Project to be a project I'd never forget. I knew the companies we would be working for were startups, but I forgot to think about their financial states. When you create a design solution for a company, it is up to them if they would like to implement it. And since they are a start up, most of the time they do not have the financial budget to implement your designs. Sad truth. However, I am so proud of what me and my team created for the design solution. It was a great internship experience.

Great Program to prepare for transition to design

As someone who had not design experience, Springboard provided me with sound skills in a number of different tools to become familiar and comfortable with the design assistance. Mentors provided great feedback on projects, including presentations. When I first started using the design tools, I would click at everything and hope for positive results, but the more I learned to use them through practice, the more I felt comfortable and at home in this new field.

    The Springboard Experience

While the curriculum is broad and thorough one key feature of the boot camp, a one on one mentor, was extremely helpful in working through assignments. I would say the program is half technical and half job search. Career Coaches and Student advisors were available for the other half. One final note worth mentioning is the cohort and community support among students were essential for morale.

Critical Stepping Stone - Stay Motivated

The curriculum is constantly being examined and updated based on student feedback, which is a clear indicator of a commitment to quality. The tools, methodologies, assigned work and mentors are all top-notch. The Slack community is also a great resource to use when some units contain difficult topics to overcome alone.

Having just completed the course, I am already seeing results by being invited to interview for analyst roles that incorporate some of the tools and processes I've learned at Springboard.

    It is worth it

The course is well-structured, the support one gets during the course is immense and diverse ranging from 1:1 mentor calls(on-demand calls to mentors for help), office hours,  a slack channel, career coaching,  weekly calls with one's assigned mentor, technical support, advising and everything in between. My schedule didn't allow me to join the weekly office hours in real time but I could always go back and watch the videos, I could schedule appointments to speak to an on-demand mentor and those were so helpful. But for these, I do not think I would've finished the course. I learned so much, not just the technical course content but also about networking, resume and cover letter writing.  Simply, all the people associated with Springboard are there to see you succeed! Do not hesitate to reach out to anybody when you feel like you're falling behind or just not in the right place. They will help you!

As many others, I was so anxious and hesitant to change my career amidst a pandemic. Springboard made this decision one of the best I've ever made. The mentor and community support is the reason I went with Springboard over others. You feel supported every step of the way. The cirriculum  is very in depth - you really get what you put into it. I'm finishing this bootcamp with a new set of skills and the confidence to apply them to a new career.

    Springboard Data Analytics Journey

Last week I completed the Springboard Data Analytics Program. It was a journey with a duration of almost 7 months and 400+ study hours. My experience was very interesting and challenging.

Please see below some points why I really love this program:

    1. The curriculum has a good structure and It covers the main topics for data analytics (Financial Analysis, Economics, Statistics, Career Coaching) and such important analytical tools as SQL, Python, Advanced Excel, Power BI, and Tableau.
    2. Springboard's mentors are very professional and supportive.
    3. You will never feel alone with the useful Slack channel and weekly meetings.
    4. Communication with the student advisers and the Springboard support team was good and very helpful as well.
    5. The program is flexible, and it is possible to balance effectively between your current job and the course.
    6. You can take 3 weeks break if you need to pause the program.
    7. The price is much lower than the prices of other bootcamps.
    8. You can get a discount if you refer your friends (as I did!).
    9. At the end of the program, you will have two capstones projects and you will be able to tell your “story” and be prepared well for the real interview.
    10. After the program, you have 6-months of support from the career coach to help you to apply for the roles and pass the interview.

I can definitely recommend the Springboard Data Analytics Career Track program. It worth the money and benefit you as a data analyst professional.
     Thank you, Springboard!

Springboard Machine Learning Engineer Career Track

I just finished the Machine Learning Engineer Career Track with Springboard and what a journey it has been. I can't imagine having learned all this without this guidance and without my mentor. In fact I am sure I never would have. I would have putzed around in this corner and that corner of the internet and never really mastered anything.  But I DID take the course and I am amazed at what I have accomplished.  The absolute best part of the program was the mentor experience. My mentor pulled me out of the depths of despair countless times and gave me clear guidance on how to get back on track.  Her technical guidance was also top notch. The curriculum was very broad and deep and at times felt like too much, but I appreciate that was well.  I would highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to become a Machine Learning Engineer.

    Wow, that was worth it!

Just finished my UX/UI design course with SB. So grateful for the experience, the connections, the growth. I had zero design experience and I was tired of working “gig” jobs- I feel so confident about how different my job prospects are now. Before finishing, I found an unpaid design internship thanks to the work we did to make myself marketable on LinkedIn, I have a huge network of design colleagues from the program, other bootcamp students and informational interviews - thanks to the career coaches helping me learn a better way to apply and search for jobs, and most of all- I’ve already made it to the final round of interview for a future job prospect. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Highly recommend for anyone searching for career reinvention!

    Great Opportunity for Job Transiton

    Pros:
Transitioning into a new industry of UI/UX Design, this program had a great set up for beginners such as me. I didn't know I could learn so fast using programs I have never used before. The curriculum provided a lot of knowledge and helped me grow new skills that I am confidently able to use at my new job. This bootcamp is self-paced which is very helpful if you are working full time. I was paired with an awesome mentor that not only gave awesome feedback/advice but also a great person to chat with. Even though the tuition is a bit high, but don't let that stop you from applying. If you are able to then definitely go for springboard. Since I was a full-time student, I was able to complete the course in 7 months using the monthly payment selection. You also have a opportunity to complete a real-world internship with a company, which is pretty cool if you have no design experience.

    Cons:
The job guarantee is only for student with bachelor degrees. So if you have that degree then they will focus on you more to get a job faster. Unfortunately I was not part of that group.  something to consider.
There is a lot of reading to do, so be prepared for that. Would love to see more videos :)

    UX/UI Design Career Track

I just completed the curriculum of the UX/UI Design bootcamp. It took me a little over 9 months, but can be done in 6 months or sooner if you plan out our schedule accordingly. I had a mentor who was a leader in the industry and helped me so much grow as a UX Designer and Researcher!

I would recommend this course to career changers or recent graduates. There are four big hands-on projects in the career track and you walk away from the course with a finished portfolio. Highly recommend!

UX Design Career Track as a Student

I joined Springboard for the UX Career Track Bootcamp in order to ramp up my professional goals. The curriculum offered by Springboard is so easy for any student with any level of experience, coming from any field/industry to transition from/enhance their skills in UX. The Capstone Project, Industry Design Project, and Design Sprints offered through the program are great assets to any UX designer's profile. The weekly mentor calls with a designated mentor kept me organized and focused on my goals. Through the career coach calls/ mock interviews I was able to understand the real-world interview scenarios and also get a sense of the UX industry needs. The curriculum is a do at your own pace kind and helped me in balancing my work life and student life well simultaneously. I would highly recommend Springboard to my family & friends now and in the future. Thanks!

    Scam

They obviously don't care about the prep courses. Mentor didn't help much past referring me to learn code for free on other websites. Curriculum is confusing and disorganized. Only had one project that wasn't really linked to anything we learned and barely any exercises or checks for knowledge. Mentor didn't give feedback for project at all kept saying he would email it, kept deferring it to later. Had a medical emergency and no one responded to reschedule our last meeting. Pretty cold. Emailed advising they don't answer.  I have nothing to show for this course except an emptier bank account. Freecodecamp.com and Codecademy.com/ taught me way more than this waste of time.

    Dave of Springboard

    Student Advisor

    Nov 10, 2022

    Hi Mo,

Thank you for providing this feedback and letting us know about the challenges you faced with the curriculum and your mentor. It's really important to us that every student is paired with a mentor who can provide timely feedback and support as students make their way through the curriculum. It sounds like you may have been paired with a mentor who fell short of these expectations, and we are truly sorry for how this affected your learning experience.

We take student-mentor relationships very seriously, and any time a student feels they are not getting the support they need from their mentor, student advisors are available to jump in and help. In these cases, we always do our best to mend the relationship, and when that is not possible, we can rematch students with a different mentor who is a better fit to support them. If we had not made it clear to you that you have that advising support, that's on us.

In addition to mentorship, students have a number of supplemental resources to help with course material and provide feedback on exercises: there are course TA's available on live chat through the Springboard platform, weekly office hours hosted by mentors, as well as a Slack community where students can ask and answer questions from their peers and request feedback on their work from industry experts. The Prep curriculum is designed to provide students with foundational knowledge of Software Engineering (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), and at the end of the course, students take the Technical Skills Survey (TSS), a comprehensive exam that will help students gauge how much they learned and decide if a career in Software Engineering is right for them.

Once again, we appreciate you sharing this feedback with us, Mo, and we sincerely apologize if the high standards we set for supporting students were not met for you. If you are open to sharing more about how we could have done better, please feel free to contact advising@springboard.com and schedule a call with us.

    Sincerely,
    Dave Austin

    UX Design

At first I was a little skeptical and was not too sure if it was worth investing money into a program that I’m not 100% sure about. However, I was able to complete Springboard’s UX Career Track with a mentor by my side who helped guide me along the way. I was able to build a great relationship with my mentor and made new friends as well.

My overall experience with Springboard was amazing, I started off not knowing anything about UX Design, but springboard did a wonderful job teaching me the ins and outs of UX Design. I can honestly say that I’m much more confident in myself and confident about my journey. Even though Springboard is new, they are doing great by improving the program along the way! I would highly recommend Springboard, plus, the cost of the program does not compare to the other boot camps out there. Thanks Springboard for this journey and for not breaking my wallet!
